Greetings from just after soundcheck in Portland....it's almost TIME.

ok HERE WE GO!!! PLANS HAVE BEEN PLANNED. Thank you to all the locals who helped put this together!!!

We heard your call for a kiddo-friendly space, so we're gonna do this in TWO PARTS, and ironically, the strip club is gonna go first, but that's just the way it worked out.

THE BASICS!!

1. STOP ON!: 2:30ish-4pmish- MEET AT MARY'S CLUB! 5 NW 5th Ave (corner of 5th and Burnside!) BRING LOTS OF BILLS TO TIP YOUR STRIPPERS!!!

2. STOP TWO: 3:30/4pmish-5/5:30ish - MEET at "THE MANIFESTATION"! 2020 SE Bush St.Plenty of parking and room for everybody! Bring cheer and snacks!!! KIDDOS, DOGGOS WELCOME.

If you wanna show up early,, more like 3:30, go for it. Stay later if you wanna! You camn easily walk to the venue from the space, it's about a 15 min walk.

Dudes, it's a strip joint, but NOT JUST ANY STRIP JOINT! It's the oldest strip club in Portland, I once wrote the script for a play here, AND it's a feminist, progressive, unionized wonder-spot. DON'T BE SCARED. Yes: there's boobs. Look at 'em. Pay your strippers. It'll be fun. I'll roll in closer to 3pm and hug all of you and also tip generously. I mean...this used to be my job: it always fills me with feelings to support my local strippers.

STOP TWO: This joint arose today from Annamieka, a local painter, who I met through Rizo, who knew a guy named Richard with a place pretty much walkable from the venue! PHEW.

It's a gallery/workshop called "The Manifestation" and Richard is also a member of the March Fourth marching band (old friends!) so this is a full circle Portlandia Moment!!

KIDS AND DOGS AND SNACKS ARE WELCOME!!!

As you can see there's a concrete floor, and there's only a handful of chairs, so if you need it for your bum, BRING A PILLOW!!!!

AND, PARKING NOTE: you can PARK HERE AND WALK OVER TO THE SHOW. It's about a 15 minute walk to The Alladin Theater from the space....and the timing is pretty perfect if we hang there til about 5-5:30pm, and then you need to get a nibble and head to the Theater for 7pm doors to get a GOOD SPOT FOR THE SHOW.

At The Manifestation, I plan to just do a Q&A and connect as deep and fast as I can with all  y'all...there may not be much time for signing stuff or individual pixctures, but we can do a group shot. And I may be signing after the show tonight/tomorrow! It's a tiny theater, so I'm hoping I have the juice in me tonight and tomorrow to do some lobby-ing.
