HAY LOVES.

I'm blazing a few thousand miles an hour but in the happiest way. Kiddo is so good, Mama is so good, fall is falling, songs are practically writing themselves, nobody in the house has Covid, shows are all going on sale without a hitch, and I'm preparing my body, soul and voice for the first official piano demo session for the new Dresden Dolls record tomorrow.

I'm using a new local studio right here in Woodstock and I'm as giddy as a...whatever's giddy. A schoolgirl. A bunny. A squirrel gathering nuts. A nut gathering squirrels. A butternut squash.

Real quick, there's LOTS OF show and event news today!

In Brief:

-LA and San Diego Dresden Dolls shows go on sale to the dolls' email list in a few minutes. the code was already email. If you missed out on the email, public onsale info is below.

-NYC: we've organized a PATRON ONLY PARTY during the dolls week at the Bowery!!! In Brooklyn at my pal's venue...Oct 26th, on our off day. I'll swing by, but mostly, you all get to HANG OUT.

-I'm also doing a Sinead O'Connor BENEFIT tribute night on Oct 29th at City Winery in NYC the NIGHT AFTER the dolls run. Pray for me...and come. The line-up is INCREDIBLE.

And now....this is the state of play in the living room. Ash and his friend found all the balloons. It was too late. I have l;eft them there. They cheer me, even though I keep tripping on them.

Adam from Beetlejuice is hanging on the porch. Ash's true desire, and I promised him last year if he was good....we could get the hanging Adam.

We went for a walk to the lighthouse this morning and ooooh.....

NYC PATRON-ONLY PARTY IN BROOKLYN! OCT 26th!!

For those of you in the NYC aread (or those visiting for The Dresden Dolls shows at thge Bowery Ballroom, all sold out YAY)...we're going to be putting on a PRIVATE PATRON PARTY on our day off!

I can't promise I'll be at the party for very long, and I'll play/sing if I'm not FRIED, but I might be FRIED. This party is MOSTLY about YOU...I wanted to give the patrons a chance to gather and hang out!! The event isn't making any money (for me, at leastt), we're just ticketing it to cover costs and make sure there's a cap, and it's a nice bump in visibility for my friend Larisa Fuch's new loft/venue in Brooklyn!!! She's a gem.

Come celebrate, recover, & connect with fellow Patrons during the Dresden Dolls NYC residency week. Nurse your hangover, wear your pajamas or your finery, mix and mingle with each other while bopping to a playlist curated by Amanda (and YOU!). A full bar with snacks will be available and a plethora of local restaurant options to choose from.

It’s the dolls night off between shows at the Bowery. I can 80% guarantee I’ll come but it depends on my poor voice. But whatever abihr me. This one is for YOU ALL TO MEET EACH OTHER!!!

SOME INFO ABOUT THE TICKETS!!

We're charging a pretty basic entry fee just to cover the cost of renting the space - but alongside these general tickets, we're trying out a super exciting thing this time.... we have SPONSOR and SPONSEE tickets available.

If you're well off and want to help others in the community, you can pick up a SPONSOR ticket for a little extra money. This extra money will then go towards offering cut-price SPONSEE tickets, for those of you who are struggling a little more, and can't make the full price. There's no proof or strict guidelines around who can buy the reduced-price sponsee ticket, it's working entirely on an honor system. If you need the cheaper ticket, it's there for you.

So, there are FOUR ticket types available:

SUPPORTER TICKETS - $15

SPONSOR - $20

MORE GENERAL INFO ABOUT THE NIGHT

- Doors will open at 7pm, and the curfew is at 12am

- The total capacity for the space is 150, so we figure there SHOULD be enough space for as many of you as want to come!

- It'll be a couch & chill vibe - there probably won't be any performing (although never say never to the ukulele). If you've seen the Dolls play in the last year, you'll know that we're typically doing INTENSE 3-hour slayage every night. This party is in the middle of our 4-night residency at the Bowery, so I'll be recovering from the first 2 nights and trying to recuperate for the last 2 nights.... so expect some low-key hanging, chatting, drinking.

- The bar will be operating all night for drinks! For food, the bar generally only serves snacks, however the venue is totally cool with getting food delivered from tons of local restaurants.

HELP US MAKE A PLAYLIST!

Since there's not gonna be any performances, we'll have a playlist set up to create some beautiful ambiance... and I can probably come up with 5 hours of MY ideal chill-out-and-hang-out music, but then I thought... why not make it a communal exercise?

So we are now OPEN FOR REQUESTS - especially if you're planning to come along to the party, leave a comment down below with song requests and we'll pop as many of them as possible into one giant AFP-PATRON PLAYLIST ready for the night.
