Oh oh oh.

Good morning my loves. Head and heart full of new music and so much love. New songs are like the only medicine sometimes. I can’t wait to play some of them this weekend.

It’s been dolls mania over here for the last week.

Hardcore rehearsals and gear-checking and guest-list juggling and endless new-song arranging.

WE ARE FUCKIN READY AS FUCK for these three shows in Woodstock, kicking off tomorrow. WE ARE SO METAL WE ARE IN PAINNNNN

WHO IS COMING? WHEN? WHERE ARE YOU STAYING?? TELL ME EVERYTHING.

Don’t forget to get tickets for the PATRON-ONLY BRUNCH at Colony on Sunday:

Bedside lyric notes. Always, the few days before shows, because my poor brain has to memories 4 new songs plus all the fucking old ones.

Couple more things this morning before I run around like a rock star in harem pants all day….

If you’re coming to town, don’t miss the POST (https://www.patreon.com/posts/87915768?utm_campaign=postshare_creator) Liza and I pit up with all the local info for Woodstock stuff! There’s still tickets for both events today at Graveside Variety - Coco has a movement class at four and the first outing of the musical “BLEAK!” is tonight. Just come. Get tickets and make friends.

AND I think? I FORGOT TO MENTION - if you’re a patron and you’re coming to graveside, bring a piece of ART TO HANG ON THE PATRON WALL!! Smaller better. We have nails.

There was a beautiful write up in Stereogum about the Sinéad song.

https://www.stereogum.com/2234535/amanda-palmer-the-righteous-babes-the-last-day-of-our-acquaintaince-sinead-oconnor-cover/music/

I posted this to socials this morning as well:

“Beautiful write-up by Tom Breihan about the Sinéad project in Stereogum today. Covering a great song well is really hard. My friend Gaba, from Poland, texted me this morning and mused about the use of “cover” versus “interpretation”. Food for thought there. Jherek Bischoff really outdid himself with this arrangement. He’s just a genius.

I gotta say, the best part of this process was my dad giving me a long and sustained hug in my kitchen after I played him the first mix - on headphones on my computer before the song was mastered. But the second best part was dropping it to the public and getting the heartfelt feedback from my community, my wounded friends and co-travelers and most of all: my fellow Sinéad-fans who love her music as deeply as I do. I can feel this in Tom’s writing and it makes me so happy to read.

So thank you to everyone for your discussion and love around the new track, and special to my patrons, as always, for funding it. We’re all in tears over here, too.”

…..

Please keep sharing the music with people you love - it’s put on all platforms now, here’s the straight up spotify link:

and I hope you all feel as alive as possible today.

See a lot of you soon.
