SHORT STORY/LAST CALL/LATE NIGHT NEWS FLASH: *THE DOLLS ARE DOING UP AND DOWNSTATE NEW YORK AND YOU HAVE UNTIL TOMORROW TO GET ON THE MAILING LIST!*

You may have already gotten the news if you're on The Dolls mailing list, which, after all my hammering on, I HOPE YOU ARE.

THE DRESDEN DOLLS ARE PLAYING TWO RUNS OF SHOWS THIS FALL, and besides Riotfest in Chicago (Sept 17th) ... that's it for the year. We are going really slowly. We are working on a new record, but mama is getting divorced, mama is tired, mama doesn't know what 2024 and 2025 are really gonna hold, so mama is going super slowly as she writes this new record and puts a new team for the band together. I can't afford to fuck this one up.

These 7 shows are going to be our chance to be up close and personal to you while we play the new material I'm writing for the band over the coming summer, to flex the muscles of our new touring crew, and to plant the seeds for all the new beginnings to come. We could have played four times this many shows, but I also didn't wanna exhaust us, or spend that many nights away from Ash. So this is IT.

I can't wait for a thousand Dresden Dolls fans to descend on Woodstock and HAVE A PLACE TO HANG OUT. We are gonna have such a fucking blast in this space, and it's RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE VENUE!!!!!

I'm literally making this post from the backgammon table, and I had a little dolls writing session this morning, which I streamed a bit of from instagram.

That's right.

Things really DON'T get good until you see the veins popping out of my neck. Let the season begin.
