(patron-only)

hello my dears.

I'm glad you liked my humorous dance song. I try, I try.

now back to business.

so... it may come as a surprise to many of you that despite the fact that I've been solo (that is, done with the 200-day-a-year touring routine of the dresden dolls) since about 2007, I've never done a TOTALLY solo tour of the states. when I went on tour with Who Killed Amanda Palmer, I brought an entire tour bus full of stage pals...Zoe Keating on cello, Lyndon Chester on viollin, and the four rotating theatrical members of the danger ensemble from australia (who were, indeed, amazing).

then I did some spotty touring with a few solo shows here and there, did tours with Nervous Cabaret as my back-up band, the. tours with Aberdeen City as my back-up band, then a year-long tour with the grand theft orchestra and the boys and all the string and horn volunteers, then shows with Jherek and his quartets...shows fronting symphonies, shows with orchestras...shows with everybody. total stage slut.

and now.

I'm going to do a tour of north america....just me. and piano. ukulele. a microphone. and you.

I'll have the baby on the road and a few friends to help me. it's going to be stripped down and simple. no fancy light show, no extras. just the songs, old and new. I'm going to spend the next five weeks writing. so hopefully REALLY new.

summary: it will be good and I humbly invite you to attend. the 5 shows only are all in VERY special venues. and very likely no more will be added...this is it folks. I'm easing into Tour with a Baby.

you patrons will have first crack at tickets on Wednesday at 10am local time....password info coming approximately 7PM ET tonight.

Glad to have seen you not too long ago in Everett but would have gladly paid again for a Seattle show.

I don't know one of my sisters, but she's due to deliver her first baby in November in CO. She wants me to be part of her life, and her baby's. I think an AFP concert is the perfect place to start.

Oh my god, THANK YOU for coming to Minneapolis.! This will be my first AFP show. Late to the party...it's the story of my life. : )

I won't be able to make any of those shows, but still so proud of you for trying something new! Love the picture of mama & baby.

It's saying I can't get mine until 11 AM. CURSES! I'm really excited that you're coming to Minneapolis, though. I'll be there for sure.

Kelly Luiten

So excited! It'll be my third time seeing her at First Ave. :)

Got my Toronto tix yeahhh!!!!! Spent more than 30 hours on a greyhound to see Dresden Dolls in Kingston and NYC, now I get to see AFP!!!! 2016 is officially the best year for concerts, ever. <3

I assume you're in Minneapolis? The show is actually at the women's assembly theatre and not First Ave. it's a great theatre space though!

Kelly Luiten

Thanks Shane! I just assumed it was at Firsy Ave. I did get tickets after refreshing for an hour(that's a lie. My boyfriend did while I was at yoga. He's a good man). :) woohoo!

So pumped to see you in MPLS. I was really bummed when the first presales sold out almost immediately. Looked again yesterday and saw that more had opened up, and now I'm going. I hope they'll let me into the Women's club. Perhaps I can pretend to be the bearded lady from the carnival.

I'm very excited. :-) My little cat and I are taking a train from LA to Chicago to see you and visit my friend who lives there. I just left a 6 year relationship that pretty much shredded my insides. It feels really epic and cool to me that I get to travel and go to the concert, listen to music that was like an opiate to me during the bad times (but without the side effects). Glad you're touring. :-)

Albany is on a Thursday...just sayin.
