i hope i make all of you really proud. i really do. this one was played with all the patrons on my mind and heart.

hard to explain, but i really wanted you all to love this one, not just because you agreed to fund it, but because this record was my first fully-patron-funded solo record, and it means a lot to me that you’re still here, watching me play a song from it for tens of millions of people on national tv…especially when the message of the song is so important.

TONIGHT @ 10pm on TBS (in the USA)!! my patrons know all about this (and i made a little behind-the-scenes recording for them with aura) but dear america, i’m beaming in from new zealand to be on your televisions! i’m going to play the song “judy blume” from my last album “there will be no intermission” on @fullfrontalsamb. i couldn’t fly to the states so we filmed it live - after hours - at the auckland city library!!

grab a hanky. i cried while recording this one. it was a huge honor to be asked, sam’s team have been amazing, and the kiwi film team headed up by @sundaepictures) did a killer job lighting the space and capturing me playing the piano in the stacks.

AND massive thanks to the auckland library - who not only said yes but let us use the space for no cost, and provided staff to boot. team effort !!! and i hope i made everybody - back in the states and here in my new little adopted/waylay country - proud.
