pictured: this is thor, my art brother, of thor & friends, in the backyard of yesterday's church gig.

last night in lexington.....it was a beautiful, beautiful gig. i met a lot of you patrons and if you were in the audience, thank you for enduring the HEAT...it was epic. we sweated our fuckin brains out.

Art Church. Art Family. we all sweated and sang together in the dark and it was just beautiful communion. my dad was a trooper in the heat. and I sat in on piano with Thor & Friends, as did my housemate vessela, who's a marimba monster, and it was just love love love.

i needed it. i think we all need it with everything that is going on in the world.

bridget, a patron who was in the audience, was kind enough to periscope most of the gig:

Hello Amanda! Hello patreons! I think I'm one of the few dozen, so....HELLO beautiful people! Thanks Amanda for the passion that you put into your art, and in few words, thanks to be YOU. I've just started listening to your new album (thanks for the download code) and, even if I understand half of the lyric of "all I could do", this was enough to make me cry like a teenager. I figured to hug you in that record studio. Kisses Ps: I'm sorry for: 1) my English mistakes and 2) for your book, that is still in some moving box, waiting to be read

I loved last night at LPR. My Dad died a few months back and it would have been his 82nd birthday. I came to see you and Dad to celebrate fathers and daughters and the wonder of healing relationships. Amanda, you have such a way of bringing the more painful world events up and then cuddling everyone into the broader spectrum of love which became such a large display of hope in that tiny little venue room. Thor and his many friends and you and your Dad and your fans and the waiters all weaving around the stage so comfortably. Thor et. al. reminded me of the bell choir I played in as a child and adult...when I used to attend church. Watching you all from my seat was like viewing the energy that fuels the sea of orgasm...instruments, voices, and the bodies attached them moving such breath making art. All of us harmonizing love at the end...the fans entering the orchestra; the sound of voices melding. Body art. Beautiful music, There was no separation of form. It was a perfect little world. (Until I realized I forgot to bring my copy of the Art of Asking along and had to run back to my hotel room after the show, making it back in time to ask a very tired Amanda if she could sign it. Sure she did. Love expanding even through physical exhaustion.) I love you so very much Amanda. I am so glad to have met you, touched you on the shoulder, and opened the art of asking for to you sharpie sign it...on my fathers very first heaven date. May tonight's show be just as special for everyone. Love to Neil and little Ash. (P.S. I felt Puff the Magic Dragon trying to come through a bit last night ❤️Peter, Paul, and Mary).

Is circling the dream like circling the drain? That's a phrase we use in hospice care to talk about people who are close to death... Sounds morbid but death is a daily experience in hospice...
