Hey, is this the place to ask for 1 free ticket for tonight's show? would love to come to the show tonight! full name Eva Salman :) also thanks for the head's up about the climate march today, i attended and my heart has been filled with hope and tenderness because of the kids that organized it and all the people who were there (LOVED the 'grandparents for the climate' shirts)

Thank you so much for Essen. It just was magical. I can´t think of another word. I had so wished to see the concert with my daughter, and until 4 hours before the show I thought I wouldn´t be able to do that. But then you gifted her a guest list spot. And by pure magic the seat I had booked for me months ago was directly behind the seats reserved for the guest list. And by yet another bit of magic the only free seat in the front wors was directly by her side so we could spend the concert together. And just this evening you needed to do exactly the concert that I happened to need, too. I was heartbroken, when you wrote that you had to cut Machete from the show for Europe and to be able to request it was magic, having every one of my favorite songs played (Eisbär! Seeräuberjenny! In my mind!) was magic, seeing my girl crying and laughing and singing along "let it go" was magic. Thank you for allowing us to help you getting over your exhaustion. Tahnk you for trusting us with your feeling of "I can´t do this again", thank you for changing the script to the one that you needed. This means so much to me. Thank you. Ilove you.

Wow, Amanda, that was a blast! I am a bit lost for words still and reading what the others have commented here makes it even harder to adequately express my thoughts and feelings. I can say this much: I don't wish for even a second that you had given us the "show" show. I am very glad to have been there to witness this honest, intimate moment of stage magic! To me it was perfect. The honesty, the spontaneity, the humour, the German songs, the references to current events. I felt like witnessing an artist at the height of her powers despite the exhaustion you made no effort to hide. You can't script a night like this. You can only ride it like a wave. I feel we all did just that. You trusted us and we trusted you. At some point a part of me wished that this evening would be recorded. But then I realised that was a foolish thought. Some things are meant to be experienced in all their unique, fragile and ultimately elusive glory. Thank you so much for this! And for the set list!

Omg, did you really play 'Schrei nach Liebe'?!?! Die Ärzte are one of my favourite bands ever, that's a crossover I never would habe known to ask for. Please, someone tell me there's a video somewhere!

Hi Amanda! To be absolutely honest, in the first hour or so I couldn't really get over the fact that we weren't getting The Show that I was so excited to see. But on the other hand, of course it was great to witness this special Break for you - and to see you play Schrei Nach Liebe, especially in such a beautiful version! And then the second half of the show seemed to be more and more what you actually would have done in The Show, so thank you for letting yourself go like this! In the end, I could imagine how hard it must be for you to tell those stories over and over again. The final moments of Drowning In The Sound, with the light effects, that was just terrific! And the way you sing the chorus - probably the highlight for my ears, so wonderful! And the Ash story with The Rain Of The Crying Angels was so sweet :) Feeling proud to be a part of the team here, Amanda, all the best for the rest of the tour!!!

When I read you skipped the actual „show“ show for a request show, my improv player heart jumped up and down with joy ❤️ So great you did this, only when you feel it, the audience will feel it. I hope you could recharge your batteries a bit. Go on slaughtering that piano, you do fucking great!

That was pure magic! A few weeks ago I watched your TED talk and wanted to find out more about Amanda Palmer... Ordered your book right away and couldn't stop reading once I started. Got on Youtube to find out about your music and loved it. Couldn't believe when I saw you would be coming to Essen just now - but you did. I got a ticket and was rewarded with an emotional roller coaster ride I won't ever forget. How I loved that evening...! You radiate power in your videos - but what you did on stage was just incredible. Thank you so much for your honesty and your courage. Keep on making art! You've just found one more patreon ;-)

Your show in Essen left an enduring impression with me. I did not know you so much as a musician but from your TED-talk, your book, interviews and stuff. I attended the concert to see you in person and not knowing what to expect. I was blown away. Enthralled. I have The Ride on heavy rotation on my various devices, became a parton and wish I was able to come to Hamburg. I told all my friends there to absolutely go no matter if they know you or not. If I was not handicapped by a broken femur I'd be there for sure. As it is I am not sure I'll be able to pull it off. Anyway. Thank you!
