the first annual london

POP-UP PUB SHOP!!!

AT THE GOLDEN LION, CAMDEN....where we did our last stupendous ninja gig.

88 Royal College St, Camden Town, London NW1 0TH

this saturday, august 31st

from 12pm (noon) to 10 pm !!!!

(ish! the pub is open til midnight, you're free to stay)

this pop-up is FREE to the public but is more meant for patrons to meet, greet, hang, drink, cavort, relieve alex of the merch darkening the merch-queen flat, and basicaly because WHY NOT DO WHAT YOU CAN DO WHEN YOU CAN DO A POP-UP PUB SHOP because even the name is so awesome.

the idea is really to give everyone a day to mingle and share. so bring your own paints, ukuleles, monopoly, poker, knitting, reading material.....whatever. we have the space. IT IS OURS TO MAKE WHAT WE WANT! nothing is too weird. don't set anything on fire. we want to be invited back.

i'll be bopping in and out a few times, lpaying, sharing, i'll hopefully bring little ash by early in the day and then jet and return at night.

and if you're there around 2 pm (ish!!!) i hear there may be a famous children's author road-testing a new book, so BRING SOME CHILDREN FOR HIM.

The Grand Theft Art Companion collects artwork inspired by the music from Theatre Is Evil by over 35 different artists, as well as words from the artists talking about their inspirations, lyrics to the album, and of course writing from Amanda. There are only 10 of these available!!

The original pressing (top in the photo), only ever available at shows, contains the FIRST piano recording of Lost.

The second pressing (middle in the photo), also only ever availably at shows, contains the ALTERNATE piano recording of Lost, as well as an alternate tracklisting.

The third pressing (bottom in the photo) is the official public release; the recording is identical to the second pressing, but Amanda's name is included on the front cover, and the text on the back was slightly altered.

And just to fuck you up entirely, the CDs themselves all look IDENTICAL :)

and as well as all the above, there’ll also be a small amount of standard full price album merch - There Will Be No Intermission on CD and vinyl, as well as the standard softcover art book!

THE U.K. VAGINA MUSEUM WILL BE IN THE HOUSE!!!!

i love these people. we've made friends on twitter and instagram and i've been trying to help their crowdfunding efforts to get off the ground and open the worlds FIRST VAGINA MUSEUM....

proceeds from certain merch/auctions will BENEFIT THE MUSEUM'S ATTEMPT TO BECOME A REAL PHYSICAL PLACE!!! 

there will, apparently, be a blue-tack "history of vulva art" display. 

COME ON. this will be just amazing.

 i am working with the vagina museum on an appropriate badge-themed cocktail.

(not kidding).
