behold: a beautiful photo from a beautiful room at the rubin museum. WHY? becaaaaaause i have TWO new shows announced and both of them have set aside ticktes for patrons to grab first before they go onsale to the public.

first, NEW YORK! surprise!

i'm doing a TEENY-TINY VERY SPECIAL show/talk/interview/thing at the Rubin Museum of Art in NYC on APRIL 18th. if you've never been to the rubin, it's INCREDIBLY SPECIAL.

this is no ordinary museum. they do overnight slumber shows, ffs. 

and if this goes well, WE SHOULD DO A PATRON-ONLY SLUMBER PART THERE OMG.....i can see it now.

from their wiki: "The Rubin Museum of Art is a museum dedicated to the collection, display, and preservation of the art and cultures of the Himalayas, India and neighboring regions, with a permanent collection focused particularly on Tibetan art." it's gorgeousssssss.

soooo....i've been wanting to do something with them for ages, and the opportunity finally arrived with an invitation from the esteemed best-selling writer/TED-speaker/neuro-scientist David Eagleman. i've known david through TED and the west coast nerd-scene for a long time and i am SO EXCITED for this talk...it will be unlike anything i've ever done. he is known for his work on brain plasticity, time perception and synesthesia. he is a LEGEND. watch this TED talk: https://www.ted.com/talks/david_eagleman_can_we_create_new_senses_for_humans 

.....see how fucking charming and smart this dude is?? we will be talking deeply about music, art, feelings, the brain, you name it.

we're also going to record our chat for a podcast (and talk again the next day to expand it) so if you're not in NYC or lucky enough to nab one of the few tickets, never fear....the awesome will hopefully emerge and be THINGED!!!!
