SURPRISE, i made a musical theater Thing. 

watch my jazz hands FLAIL. hear my pained voice SOAR. experience the roar of the greasepaint and the smell of the crowd.

today i am very pleased to deliver you something rather out of the ordinary for me, but not that out-of-the-ordinary when you consider that i am, at my core, a big old musical theater dork.

but for real: this is really emotional, beautiful, haunting song.

long story short, the track, which is stunningly played by the budespest film orchestra, is from a BRAND-NEW musical called "The Grinning Man" that opens **TONIGHT** IN LONDON.

about the musical:

Based on Victor Hugo’s novel 'L'Homme Qui Rit' ('The Man Who Laughs’), “The Grinning Man” tells the story of Grinpayne – the strange, star attraction in a small traveling freak show who’s forever scarred when a mysterious assailant carved a hideous grin into his face.

When he and his family arrive in London to perform their show at the notorious Trafalgar Fair, everyone from the gutter rats to the new Queen has fallen for the handmade freak and his hideously beautiful face. But who is he really? And how did he come to be so marked? Together with an old man, a blind girl and a wolf, he has a story to tell. A tale so tragic and so strange that not even he can guess how it will end....

the song that i'm singing uses the same orchestra as the official cast recording, and is PUBLIC, which means ALL people can download and stream it on bandcamp, and the download money is going to CHARITY (hooray for patreon!!!)...we are donating all proceeds to help a youth theatre company in the U.K., so that more people may have the opportunity to jazz hands and bring joy to the world.
