Hello, friends!

It's been... quite the post-production process. And continuing to, quite, be. I wish I could share some work-in-progress material, but it's tough to do that in this case without spoiling the whole concept.

What I can tell you so far is:

  • It's a collab with a really fun guest
  • It's more in the 'celebration/teaching of VFX' genre rather than a debunking
  • It will hold the record of largest production crew of any CD episode to date

Back when I was working on the Navigator video, I showed you the state of completion with a progress bar. This video has a weirder structure and order in which we're having to tackle it, so I came up with a weirder way to visualize the progress:

I know it looks scant in terms of green... but keep in mind that the 3 "segments" are by far the most difficult, and are being finished first. The other parts mathematically CANNOT take as long. And I am renowned for my math skills!

Anyway, I'll keep updating that table on the Discord, for those interested in following closely.

Thank you as always for your support!

Yay! I can't wait. You literally make the best videos YouTube has ever seen

Love the segment tracker. I'm very tempted to offer to build a reusable web version.

I love the tracker! Looking forward to watching it :)

Do you find shooting stressful? I'd imagine that editing though it takes longer feels like you're in control, whereas shooting is the opposite.

The basement looks different 😉

Anybody else immediately reminded of wordle from that progress-bar picture? :P

Not interested in 'celebration/teaching of VFX' and wondering how much longer I'll keep going at this extremely slow delivery rate.

I understand your frustration and appreciate your support. But I work on my videos full time, every single day. And... this is how long it ends up taking. I'm not sure what other steps to take to speed the process up. If you have any advice, I welcome it. But if you're already sure you won't like the content of my next video, then there's really no logical reason for you to continue to support its production.

I also thought for short moment "Huh...so thats what I am not getting for my money." BUT I pay you, because you are delivering brillant content - for years. I must must be somewhat around 12 years that I am gladly watching Captain Disillusion Videos. You do you. Since thats what brought me here. Even if it takes that goddamn long. I will always be excited when the time finally comes, that I can enojoy another of your videos.
