The answer is A. Brackets and screws are also used to mount a TV to the wall and that is not part of a house. Anything to be included in the house need to be part of the contract.

Maybe you have something here. When we have bought or sold a house, the contract had a seemingly endless laundry list of items that were included or excluded (including the laundry machines :) ). I wondered whether the lawyers were being overly cautious, but in the law, I don't think there is a concept of being overly cautious. I can see that if a TV is mounted to the wall, you'd want to list that item separately. Otherwise, the house you're buying might end up looking like the apartment in "Pacific Heights", after Michael Keaton spent some time there.

When buying a house recently (Ireland), I asked the estate agent (realtor) whether appliances and show furniture were included. She said that a good rule of thumb is to think if you turned the house upside down and shook it, anything that doesn't fall out is included.
