Thomas narrowed the question down to (A) and (C), correctly eliminating (D) as nonsense, and also correctly eliminating the attractive distractor (B) for exactly the right reason; namely, that cure comes after rejection, not before.

Sadly, though, the right answer is (C) --delivery requires perfect tender.  Thomas is now 115-for-220 (52.3%).

I was about to say "Whoever wrote this question clearly never worked in publishing" and then go on about the proofing process, but then I remembered some of the production blunders that went to press when I worked in publishing.
