Is this guy/team really making 60 000 dollars per month? That is incredible. I just had to throw in 1 dollar to be able to write this comment. I mean, this is sick ton of money even if the game is getting bigger and bigger. This is even more money then no sex game makes. But how much does the "employees" get per month? 700 000 dollars a year? Is crazy numbers. Im working in the wrong departement. Everyone needs to understand that there is a line between how slow you can work and how much money you still can get. I guess there is a good money management involved. I would have calculated if it were me. No doubt he does the same. And there is new people like me (even if i only will subscribe for one month) joining all the time. He is a winner, hands down.

This tech update has been going on for years, literally years. I just want information and actual progress updates on Patreon regularly. I genuinely don't think that's too much to ask especially considering we don't even know the true status cause the progress bar is always broken. Please cookie, idgaf about wallpaper, I care about the game you said would be ready literal Years ago....

I'm only in this for $1 a month. Either this is subscription or called crowdfunding, I'm only out $12 a year. Please DC, would love to see this complete, but it is what it is. Till then, keeping on moving. Love the work.

Projects like these, especially those that are written by non-programmers (like this one), are giant piles of technical debt. If the scope of the project is kept reasonable they can be finished without ever 'paying' that debt, which often takes more effort than it did to get the project to that point in the first place. They're at least making progress towards it, but it's going to take time. I've seen other projects completely burn out from this.

They call it a tech update but its really a complete rewrite from scratch. Every image, every line of code, its all been redone.

What I do not understand is.. with 60 000 dollars every month, what is taking so long time? OK, I understand this is a gold mine and it is business as usual: try to get out as much as possible for minimum effort without losing customers. I get it. I would have done the same, I'm truly honest with that. But DC should explain (be honest) were is all this money going? It is crazy numbers for a buggy picture and text game. 60K /month, 9 developers. It does not sound right. At least, be honest and get some credibility. Being honest could actually make you earn even more money! Who knows. Maybe his relationship is a disaster or the Russian mob/Trump is after him? But without explanations people will not understand and speculate. I'm out after this month. But I must admit that it is very very smart that you have to pay to be able to read the comments. Before you could not see the updates but you could read the comments and that made me to not pay and stay away. I could read peoples frustration. I understand why he changed this hehe. Very very cleaver. He is a business man. That is how life is. Calculation and get out as much as possible. We do it too. Even with girls ;)

bruh i have a feeling this update won't be finish this year I think if he works like the same way he will finish it in 4 years I guarantee but if he speeds the things little bit it would be finished next year in January or this year in november

Yeah, I think I'm gonna give DC till the end of the year. I've (most of us) have well over paid for this tech update at this point over the YEARS we have been waiting. I'm all for giving creators the time they need to deliver a quality product but this is getting ridiculous. Especially when you have games like Being a Dik and FL3 being released quicker than this game.

I find it hilarious the amount being earned was removed from the patreon. Presuming he's lost quite a bit because of the obvious slowness of nine months since even a small update longer since anything real. They have to be making at least 55k from their almost 70k a month at this point. Hopefully less.
