Let's get some Monday's Scheduled for February! Of course, February is the month of love & Black History Month - so this poll will be for lovey dovey movies.  VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE TWO

The color Purple has been requested so many times, I would love to watch that one this month.  Let me know in the comments what you think about that - or if you have any other suggestions.

One more romantic movie I forgot to mention is "literally" the perfect Valentine's Day movie, "Some Like It Hot".

I'm surprised Stand By Me won by a landslide. I mean, it isn't even the best Rob Reiner movie. (Then again my vote, Working Girl, isn't the best Mike Nichols movie. So I probably shouldn't judge these things based on that.)

There was once a theater opening in San Antonio where they played a movie from each decade. 30s was Gone With the Wind, 40s was Casablanca etc. I had so many choices. I went with the 50s and Some Like It Hot.

The most romantic scene in any movie ever is in The Best Years of Our Lives. Period.

Did you know Mike Nichols was a comedian? He and his partner Elaine May virtually invented improvisational comedy. When Nichols was directing "The Birdcage", he brought in May to rewrite the script.

A movie which always saddens me. The producers hired actual veterans, with missing limbs, because they wanted to show the true cost of war.

I know Nichols and May were a famous comedy team, but I've never actually watched their routines. (Elaine May is a brilliant writer apart from Nichols. She wrote some of the best lines, uncredited, in Tootsie.) My fav Nichols movie would be The Graduate, despite my love of Working Girl. For Reiner, for me, it would be a toss up between The Princess Bride and This is Spinal Tap.

I mean Stand By Me is also a great movie. It's an embarrassment of riches regarding Rob Reiner movies. Unless you're the late Roger Ebert and watched the movie "North."

Coming to suggest French Kiss (1995) for February.

The Color Purple is a classic. Another great and accessible Black History month film would be A Raisin in the Sun. Make sure to watch the original black and white version with Sidney Poitier. There are also some amazing but heavier critically acclaimed choices like 12 Years a Slave and Moonlight- but they're not really Millennial.

Another great film that actually takes place on/around Valentine's Day is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind- I think Ashleigh would really get a kick out of it. It was my favorite movie of all times back as a college dude and I still love it.

Just watched the Gremlins 2 reaction, and I want to reiterate what others have said: do yourself a favor and watch the Key & Peele Gremlins 2 sketch! It’ll be cathartic after watching this train wreck of a film! Also… totally unrelated but someday you need to watch Pee Wee’s Big Adventure!

A couple other rom-coms that Ashleigh would probably enjoy are, I.Q and Must Love Dogs
