This is so great! For Brad Pitt movies- oh you're in for a treat. He's easy on the eyes *and* a great actor in a bunch of amazing movies. His first movie was Thelma and Louise... and my 90s teen goth self has a special place in my heart for Interview with the Vampire.

I'm behind, apparently. I thought they were moving to D.C.?

Anonymous

Yeah, she said at the very end of this they likely closed on their house in Nashville by the time this video would be going out. So, I'm definitely way behind. lol

Louis is the standard by which I judge all other vampires. 😍

Michael Tocci

It was a surprise to them, but yeah, Hubben got relocated AGAIN and he is under contract and drama and stuff but they are crushing it!

Michael Parker

Truly, IMHO the single most toxic film I've ever seen. I've watched it at this point 5 times (including this time) and I still find ZERO redeeming value in any portion of this film.

Wasn't Beans on a diet that was working?

Autumn Bough

I didn’t know if you’d like this one but it is definitely one you need to see. I’m glad you caught the humorous parts and that you overall appreciated it!

"Down with capitalism" is the takeaway I guess? The style definitely detracts from any messages it's trying to make. The book is much better at portraying toxic masculinity in a horrifying way instead of essentially glorifying it. Palahniuk definitely doesn't try to make it seem "cool."

Chris Crowther

Kind of want to see your reaction to “The Usual Suspects” now.

Terrell Kirkman

Tyler Durden is what happens when positive masculinity becomes toxic. He has some positive goals but his methods and motivation are corrupt.

Edward Norton was The Hulk in The Incredible Hulk in your MCU watch along.

I met the author, Chuck Palahniuk, at a reading for one of his short story compilations. Evidently he used to get a fair amount of writing inspiration from support groups. Specifically, for the story "Guts," which he also read for us live. 😬

david borokovsky

Can we get 12 monkeys in the polls. Another great brad pitt performance

"The Usual Suspects" is a must-see. I also think she'd enjoy "The Game" with Michael Douglas.

Did anyone pass out during the reading? That one in particular is notorious for knocking people out during live readings.

Andy H.

Not at our show, but people did leave the auditorium. Understandably. Evidently two people fainted at the reading he had just done in Chicago, so he strongly warned the audience beforehand.

You have to see Se7en with Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman! I think it would even qualify for Hallowbeans because of a couple of the jump scares.

Definitely don't read Haunted by Chuck palahniuk

Andy H.

He did indeed. He told us he got the story at a sex addict support group, and that the majority of the story was directly from the guy it happened to.

Echo

I was surprised too! Maybe because his character is so toxic. He brings that same chaotic energy to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and 12 Monkeys.
