I feels like you were unusually hostile watching this one. Are you okay? I wonder if it is frustration from the Amazing Spiderman mistake. I, personally, think Andrew Garfield is a better Spiderman than Toby, but "what do I know"? This is what the MULTIVERSE does, though. Many different timelines, and universes, all with their own Spiderman, their own HULK, their own Dr. Strange...etc. It can get confusing. I hope you will like the Andrew Garfield Spiderman movies. For me, he's in 2nd place behind Tom, the current Spiderman.

"The Village" they referred to is Greenwich Village. A neighborhood in NY city famous for having a lot of artists and creative types.

Obligatory : this is the theatrical release (02:07), not the 2.1 extended version (02:15).

Without reservation, the best SpiderMan film with the best and most complex villain. Toby and Alfred were both amazing. Sam Raimi did amazing here.

"Move bitch!" I think that might have been my biggest laugh at one of your reactions yet.

THANK GOD!!! I don't think I would have been able to sleep, if I didn't know if you finally got your necklace clasped or not.

Personally, I wish she would watch Blade. It's the first rated R Marvel movie and even SAVED Marvel enough that the MCU could even be possible. I think she would enjoy it a lot because it's got humor, action, etc. It's her kind of movie, I think. BUT if that would mean pushing back the MCU movie reactions that happen only once a month even father back, it's not worth it. Unless Blade is deemed as not part of the MCU so she could consider it as a regular movie, Really frustrating sometimes....LOL

"Don't beat yourself up"? Really? Ash does not understand, or at least disagrees with, the moral quandary that fundamentally makes Spider-Man Spider-Man? She actually thinks Peter Parker did the right thing letting the wrestler robber go? He might get shot? Spider-Man disarmed the robber in seconds when he caught up with him! 😅

À propos de bottes, as the French say, I realized I hadn't posted a "He Could Get It" update in a while. So here's this. He Could Get It, Episode IV The Golden Age John Barrymore The most famous American stage actor of the time, he was widely considered the finest Hamlet of his generation. A matinee idol in his prime, he was nicknamed "The Great Profile." Sadly he passed away in 1942 at the age of sixty from the ravages of alcoholism. He was Drew Barrymore's grandfather. "Beloved Rogue" (historical drama, silent) a fictionalized account of the life of 15th century poet, Francois Villon. Villon has similar importance to French literature as Chaucer does to English. "Dinner at Eight" (drama, comedy) Barrymore, Jean Harlow "Twentieth Century" (screwball comedy) Barrymore, Carole Lombard "Counsellor at Law" (drama, comedy) considered by many to be Barrymore's finest role in talking pictures. William Powell Always a suave and sophisticated presence on screen he became linked, professionally not romantically, with the beautiful Myrna Loy. Their on-screen chemistry was so strong that they were cast in fourteen films together. "The Thin Man" (mystery, comedy) Powell, Myrna Loy, Asta (their dog) "My Man Godfrey" (screwball comedy) Powell, Carole Lombard Clark Gable A great actor, a matinee idol, and always box office gold, he was often called, "The King of Hollywood." "It Happened One Night" (screwball comedy) Gable, Claudette Colbert. His performance won Gable the Oscar for Best Actor. "Gone With the Wind" (drama, war) Gable, Vivien Leigh, Leslie Howard, Olivia de Havilland Ronald Colman An English ex-pat, he was one of the most sought after leading men in Hollywood. Known especially for his beautiful voice, his final line as Sydney Carton in the adaptation of Dickens's "A Tale of Two Cities" became one of the most famous readings in film history. His was the inaugural star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. "A Tale of Two Cities" (drama) Colman, Elizabeth Allen "The Prisoner of Zenda" (adventure) Colman, Madeleine Carroll Douglas Fairbanks Fairbanks was the greatest action star of the silent era, but he did not make a strong transition to talkies. He died in 1939, at the age of fifty-six. He was famous for doing his own stunts. At the end of Blazing Saddles when Hedley Lamarr is shot and says, "How did he do such fantastic stunts with such little feet?" it is Fairbanks he is referring to. "The Taming of the Shrew" (first sound adaptation of Shakespeare) Fairbanks, Mary Pickford "The Private Life of Don Juan" (adventure, drama) Fairbanks, Merle Oberon Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. While he started out trying to distance himself a bit from his father's legacy as an action hero, eventually he accepted that role being cast almost exclusively in action and adventure films. "Gunga Din" (adventure) Fairbanks, Jr., Cary Grant, Victor McLaglen, Sam Jaffe "The Corsican Brothers" (adventure) Fairbanks, Jr., Ruth Warrick

I haven't seen any other He Could Get It segments, but if you haven't listed them already: Rudolph Valentino, Cary Grant, Vincent Price, and Laurence Olivier.

Yep. Sam Raimi is definitely a horror director at heart. He's best known for the Evil Dead movies with Bruce Campbell, the guy who played the usher in this. That scene in the hospital with the arms is a perfect example of his style. Fast, in your face, and brutal. He also directed Dr. Strange 2 so you have that to look forward to.

There is no possible way Blade is considered part of the MCU. It came out 10 years before Iron man. They are working toward bringing it into the MCU as a reboot, but it's not there yet.

I'd love to see her see Gone with the wind, but the runtime might make her head explode.

That's why I suggested she watch it as a non-MCU movie to not take up time as one. I don't think Blade gets the credit as it deserves. Yes, I know there will be a new Blade but Wesley Snipes was awesome 👍.
