You asked if Spiderman has to go to every call he hears; well, he ignored that one thief and his uncle died. With great power comes great responsibility.

If Spider-man 2 and Amazing Spider-man 2 got you, if you ever get to the Fantastic 4 make sure of the years. Oh, Spider-Man: No Way Home will blow your continuity mind away. I'm surprised Star Wars didn't make your head explode. Star Wars 1, 2, 3 was switched to Star Wars 4, 5, 6 and a new Star Wars 1, 2, 3, wait Solo: A Star Wars Story falls between the new 3 and the old 1 which is now 4. Then they decided to make Rogue One: A Star Wars Story this one happens on the cusp of the old 1 which is now 4 but after Solo: A Star Wars Story. To clear it up they gave the numbered movies names: Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Episode II - Attack Of The Clones, Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith , Solo: A Star Wars Story, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi, Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise Of Skywalker, and several animated movies peppered throughout. We are here to help.

If you haven't been stressed this much in a movie, give Whiplash a gander. "Then why the **** didn't you say so?!"

Echo Moon

The director, Sam Raimi, is the reason for all the jump scares. He is traditionally known as a horror director (Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness). Also, you never said if the upside down spidey kiss with Hubben worked. How was it on 1-10 scale? :) So sorry you watched Andrew Garfield spidey 2 first. I am worried his big emotional scene was ruined now for you.

Oscar Diggs

This movie could not have been scarier even if it was directed by the director of The Evil Dead.

JHB

Just to say it explicitly: Yes, there is a Spider-Man 3 starring Toby McGuire & Kirsten Dunst, which continues this storyline. After that, for reasons someone else above explained, they rebooted with The Amazing Spider-Man (1 and 2), and following that another reboot to bring Spidey into the MCU. Why did they call the second series "The Amazing Spider-Man"? Because that's the actual title of the main Spidey comic book.

Marky T

It goes Spider-man, Spider-man 2, Spider-man 3. Then there's The Amazing Spider-man, and The Amazing Spider-man 2 which are a different thing. Then there's the MCU version. They have different actors and characters because they're totally different universes. Hope that clears it up.

Vorpal Bunny's Revenge

I joined just so I suggest you watch "Wind". It got terrible merchandising. I saw a still photo for it before another movie I was waiting to see and decided I would never want to watch it. But now I own it on VHS, Laserdisc, and if it ever comes on TV I will stop what I'm doing and watch it. Let it surprise you.

Independence Day a Monday Independence Day Movie (Will Smith) or Born on the Forth of July (Tom Cruise)

Ooh, I hope you let us see that Amazing Spider-Man 2 reaction. But why wouldn’t you have been suspicious and stopped when Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst weren’t in the movie??

Michael Tocci

Hopefully... I (the dude who assigned this) have asked that she hold on to that footage for down the line. Could be a fascinating watch!

Joe Blankenship

Could probably be edited together in a hilarious fashion when she finally sees it in context.

I am not entirely sure, but Spiderman movies were made by different studios, various writers and other actors so each made their own versions of Spiderman's life. Many of Ashleigh's Spiderman questions and confusion should be cleared up for her in a recent MCU movie. That's all I'm going to say. I hope this is not considered a spoiler.

Thomas Yanez

In general, seems like the high-tier patrons sponsering the MCU and Spider-man movies aren't doing their jobs concerning explaining the background of the Spider-Man movies to her. You can do that easily without spoilers.

I'm all in for Independence Day. I enjoyed the sci-fi adventure-action movie that is sprinkled throughout with romance and humor. Although, there is one heroic character I find somewhat unlikeable. Rotten Tomatoes has a critic score of 67% and an audience score of 75%, and IMBd rating is 7 out of 10 so it's not among the most likeable movies, but I found it interesting and entertaining.

Hi Thomas. I watched the Spider-man movies over the years with some confusion and questions and I did so without explanation. With Ashleigh viewing the pre-MCU and MCU movies in a much shorter timespan than I did over the release date years,, she should be okay without the high-tier patrons explaining things before they are watched.

When Aunt May gives Peter the 'we need a hero' speech, I always suspect that Aunt May figured out that Peter is Spider-Man.

Mark Finley

I Wrote her a while ago suggesting those movies for July 4th, in that order of preference. Hopefully that is the plan

That's always been my take on the Sam Raimi Spider-Man triogy. That Aunt May figured out after the bank robbery scene in Spidey 2 that her nephew was Spider-Man. Which informs why Aunt May was especially hurt when Peter told her that he could have stopped the armed robber but didn't. As well as several key scenes in Spidey 3 that I won't get into right here and now.

Thomas Yanez

We already know that she does very little research on her own, and the fact that she watched the wrong #2 movie supports that. A little briefing about the happenings pre-MCU (just the film releases, not the content) could have easily avoided that. To be honest, I assumed that somebody would have already explained it to her when they started feeding her non-MCU Spider-Man movies.
