The song is: Why do birds suddenly appear every time you are near? Just like me, they long to be CLOSE TO YOU.... The Carpenters

Wally Hartshorn

By the way, you missed a little voiceover humor during the credits, which started just a few seconds after you quit. It wasn't essential, but FYI.

You are darling! I loved this reaction. I love that you love Steve as much as my sister, my mother, and I do!

Another fun reaction. "I can't tell if she's upset." ::punch:: "She's upset." Glad you enjoyed the movie :) The concept is indeed an old story. This movie is loosely based on the 19th century play "Cyrano de Bergerac", which in turn is (very, very) loosely based on a real dude from the 1600s. It's been adapted many times, with the latest being Peter Dinklage's "Cyrano" coming out in a few weeks. I highly recommend the 1950 "Cyrano de Bergerac" - it's sadder than this version, but Jose Ferrer's performance was brilliant, earning him the Best Actor Oscar.

*Fred Willard shows up on screen.* Ashleigh: Is that David Hasselhoff? Me: *Spits coffee* BTW, if you want another Rom-Com for this month with Steve Martin in it, you might check out "L.A. Story" (1991).

Jacob Colson

Anyone else think she looks like Pippi? And/or the Wendy's girl? I'm loving the look!

One of my favorites. There were a couple extra lines you missed in the middle of the credits where she reveals she named the comet Charlie...after her dad.

You saw Darryl Hannah in Kill Bill.

Rick Rossovich had a small part in the Terminator.

Parenthood has Steve and Mary Steenburgen. Funny as he'll. Splash has Darryl , Tom Hanks, and John Candy. Another funny movie from the 80's.
