Watch Along True Lies (Patreon)

Finally got the YouTube edit up but as you can imagine - if it struggled that hard for a 30 minute edit - it SHO IS dragging it's ass for a 2 hour and 20 minutes upload.  I will have it up as SOON as I can.  Thank you so much for your understanding and patience.

How is it not streamed somewhere. It is not some obscure movie. And I for some reason don't have it on dvd.

I'm gonna keep waiting for the watch along. I gotta see you react to Jamie Lee in real time. I mean, yeah, she's nude in Trading Places, but this movie has the much hotter scene. I bet a lot of the True Lies VHS tapes are worn out around that part, from all the rewinding.

Mark, great question. I can’t believe it’s not even available on apple/iTunes or Amazon prime. When it shows up on prime it says ‘content not available’. I’ve never come across that on such a big movie.

Don't hold your breath. True Lies has not been upgraded from an out-of-print, non-anamorphic DVD released in 1999 and there is no sign that Cameron has gotten closer to approving an HD or 4K transfer that would get the movie on streaming.

It is because Cameron has final approval on new transfers of his films. The Abyss and True Lies have been in purgatory for over 20 years, with the last official home media release of both being non-anamorphic DVDs. A couple of months ago he finally said in an interview he had signed off on a 4K transfer of The Abyss and that now it was in Disney's hands (current guess is that it comes out in 2023 alongside Avatar 2 on home video). True Lies, on the other hand, is still waiting.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who hasn't been able to find this on streaming because I really want to watch the full watch along.

I know you wrote this a while ago but I thought I would let you know that there is a sight called https://soap2day.ac/movielist/ that has pretty much any movie you want to watch on it, it's free. It's where I go if I can't find a movie on any streaming platform.
