I was all set for Animal House. Hang on, now I have to track down RoboCop.

Luckily I have Robocop on my DVR. I have Animal House on DVD but it's buried somewhere and now I have time ti find it.

Robocop is 80s movie greatness. Ultra Violent and great satire. Also Nancy Allen who plays his partner is B-movie royalty

Theatrical, Director's Cut, other...?

Never mind, a quick scan of the YouTube cut shows it's the Director's Cut. This ought to be interesting.

Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

"That's life in the big city." "You're takin' this kinda personal, aren't ya?" Two of my favourite lines from any film :) Shame you didn't like it, Ashleigh, but I found your reaction entertaining nonetheless :) You might want to avoid Verhoeven's other films if you weren't too keen on this one (e.g., Total Recall, Starship Troopers.)

William

"I'd buy that for a dollar!", come on, that's comedy gold!

Kenton Kruger

I think Total Recall might still work for her, but I agree Starship Troopers is unlikely to be a 5 star movie for her.

Jill Peterson

That was so much fun! Thank you!

Really enjoying the reaction! One thing I've GOT TO SAY THOUGH.. LUL that noise that was going on about an hour into the movie drove me crazy. xD I figure you were brushing your cat. lol, could you do that not during a reaction please? Hearing that while I watch the movie is pretty distracting. Thanks! :)

Logan Kerlee

lol, I'm surprised that you had a totally negative reaction to the movie. Yeah, it's PURE violence, action and gore.. but it also had a great story! I guess it helps that I'm a guy? I don't know. This one really resonated with me. A man who fights crime in order to protect his family that he loves only to lose his life in a VERY tragic way (ON HIS FIRST DAY). Then rising up from the ashes to become the ultimate crime fighter, a machine that doesn't feel pain (mostly at least) and will not stop when it's fired upon. Was it over the top and supremely violent? 100% it was! That was the point of the movie though. The director didn't want to hold back and it's pretty clear that he didn't. This movie would not be made today and that's disappointing. The "new Robocop" film is very disappointing in that it uses kid gloves in a lot of ways, A good bit of it is similar, but it doesn't hold a candle to this. That's my take on this movie, I loved it. You didn't Ashleigh and hey, that's cool! This movie DEFINITELY isn't for everyone. :P In the end, just want to say thank you for covering this movie! :) Really enjoyed this reaction.
