I know it's been 6 episodes but I believe there has been quite some time since she met Mako and Bolin right?

Had not been subscribed for a while, decided to check back in, saw LoK, and immediately subscribed again. Looking forward to the series!

Love me some more Loki! 🥳

Ben Wheeler

It seems like spring or summer in the first episodes and obviously snow in this one.

I think this episode, more than most, kind of shows who is the target age range for this show. If ATLA was aimed at older kids and tweens, Korra's target seems to be the YA crowd. Both shows are good enough for older fans, tbf. The romantic subplots on this show can get annoying, but this episode was actually quite entertaining, if at times groan inducing. Season 1 is actually well written in terms on the romance, to be completely honest. It's not too heavy handed and it fits with the main plot.

can’t wait for you to reach the finale omg! take care

You HAVE to keep in mind they're all 15/16, AND Korra was sheltered AF. This show is so good!

Jenny Tolls

Korra and Bolin are 17 and Mako and Asami are 18 so still young but not that young. But yes Korra did live a very sheltered life regardless.

Athenor

Anyone else get the feeling Nat had brothers fighting over her and she was re liviving it during this episode? 😄

Very excited to see you watch this! I hope you feel okay with critiquing it, since obviously it's not as good as ATLA. But it's still decent and I hope you enjoy!

Caomhan84

Well, remember it took her a long time to even warm up to ATLA. I expect her to take awhile to warm up to this too. The one advantage this show has over ATLA though is that there aren't any standalone episodes. So that eliminates one of the complaints that she had about the other show. There is an overarching plot here. Even though some of the relationship stuff is annoying early on, it's really not bothersome once stuff gets going.

FatLittleButterfly

The writers for LOK never knew if they are doing a new season until the season ends, so things feel accelerated sometimes.

Geoffrey of Monmouth

And I will say, it does seem as if she's enjoying this one more than ATLA early on. She had more belly laughs in episodes 4 and 5 than she did in the first 10 episodes of ATLA combined.

FatLittleButterfly

I don't agree that it's not as good as ATLA. I think both shows have its own charm and very enjoyable in their own ways.

Fun fact, Tahno is voiced by none other than Rami Malik. He played Freddy Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody

The pro bending really feels like boxing I like how they draw the fights and the animation is good

rayman

ya I never realized it until just now, even though I've seen this show multiple times. For some reason it hit me that it was Rami Malik.
