Happy Monday nat I hope you had a fun relaxing weekend and the stream went well 🙂 going to have to save this until my back is healed enough to sit in a chair for more than ten minutes until then stay golden and I will think about what drinks and snacks I can get for when I get to watch 🥳

Girl I’ve been seeing “LOK” and thought it was Loki for a week now. I’ve been waiting for more Korra and I looked right over it 🤣🤣

Mastervodo

Ah Loki - ye God of mischief. How we miss thee.

Lipsyncing is for pussies Nattie - Remember this; If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing. Sing your heart out and never stop <3

Bolin is the Himbo king we needed 🙌🏻

no spoilers but let me help u out right now. korra was a victim of pure horrible writing when it came to her character so just be ready for a BUNCH of bullshit but keep in mind she’s facing villains and powers that NO OTHER AVATAR HAS EVER FACED so give her some grace also

Jenny Tolls

She is not a victim of pure horrible writing lmao you just don’t like the character and are being completely unfair. You’re just a hater 😂

Lorenzo Baxter

That's even completely debatable for the writing. It's not great, but it's not the worst writing in the world by any means. It's got nothing to do with writing actually. More the interference from Nickelodeon with not letting them know if they'd get more seasons or not.

Jenny Tolls

There’s definitely nothing wrong with Season 1 in terms of writing. Season 2 sure, Season 4, fair. But Season 1 is a masterpiece and that’s not up for debate.

I would Season 1 and 2 were the weakest seasons. Season 1 wasnt not bad but definitely felt like they did know where to take Korra, as soon as they moved away from Republic City, the show got 100% more interesting,

Jenny Tolls

@Vincent I completely disagree and think you are objectively wrong but if you personally do not like Season 1 then I don't know what else to tell you. Season 2 had some good moments but overall was very weak.

Robert Bonfante

Season 2 is the weakest of all four seasons, but I wouldn't completely write it off as a terrible season. It has some excellent moments (including a very noteworthy stretch in the middle of the season) and it introduced a lot of great characters. Some of the sub-plots are tedious and annoying, but there are huge pay-offs to those subplots in seasons 3 and 4. A number of secondary characters get some excellent development. And even though it wasn't executed well, the premise for the season was excellent (which I can't get into without getting into spoiler territory). The drawbacks to season 2 include the difference in the animation compared to the other seasons (due to the work of a different studio than the other seasons), a lackluster main villain (he's not all that bad, it's just the other villains are sooo much better) and those sub-plots I mentioned earlier. But there was never a point in season 2 where I was like "this is garbage, I can't watch more of this!" Season 2 was interesting in its own way. It's just that Season 1 was strong and Season 3 was arguably the greatest season in the Avatar franchise (IMO). Season 2 looks lackluster in comparison.

i went ahead and watched the whole season 1 and it reminds me of how much i missed the animation style of the series and i forgot who aamon was and when i found out and the whole story behind it i was shocked and surprised of it all over again, since this would be my second time rewatching it since it came out, man i think i just needed time to like the series again even more

Robert Bonfante

Season 1 is excellent -- it just takes a while to get going. But LOK embraced the steampunk in Season 1 and I am here for it. Amon is a great villain, and one of the things about Amon that I love is that he feels relevant. Someone could make the argument that he's the best villain in the series and I won't argue it. The only reason I can think of someone not liking season 1 is because it is boldly different from ATLA. But that's kind of the point. Konietzko and DiMartino made the decision to more the timeline to the 1920s and create a masterful, steampunk world and I loved it. And as a reminder, Avatar: the Last Airbender also took a while to hit its stride.

Skye Brooklyn

umm yea she is. do u know how characters come to be? they’re written by tv show WRITERS one of which, wrote korra’s character. i’m not a hater i think the show in all was pretty good i’ve rewatched many times bc i do love it. but i don’t like that the writers just took most things from the last air bender and made it the opposite to “spice things” or bc they thought it created “tension”. aang was boy child, korra is a teenage/ young adult woman, aang had no parents, korra did, everything in their own way came together in one way or another in the plots of ATLA, that didn’t really happen as much in Lok, a lot of things came easy to aang at least bending wise but EVERYTHING was a struggle for korra bro i can go on and on. when i say bullshit i mean i’m terms of her korra’s continuous hot headed aggression that continues to get her into bullshit throughout the series and nat was talking about how she needs to grow because of how hot headed and impatient she is and she doesn’t really grow in the regard until maybe the very end when it was beaten into her. i’m not a hater fuck u

Lorenzo Baxter

Kinda odd you find a way to blame everything on Korra, even her being manipulated by Tarrlok. Like, that's on anyone but her. 😅 She's a child, and going through emotional turmoil isn't something you can be blamed for. Like Aang, it's an insane burden that she has to bear, having to protect the whole world, especially in Korras case, as she had been shuttered away from society. Like, chill Natalie 😂

djKENTO

This episode is SO GOOD

@Jenny Trolls Lol ya'll are getting wild in some of these comments. I think we're all here because we like the show or just to support Nat, but I think telling someone they're "objectively wrong", saying something is "not up for debate", or calling someone a "hater" when they're just expression an opinion is not productive language. I think we can all have differing opinions without diminishing someone's else's and I hope that we can be a bit more positive and have nuanced discussion about the show as a community moving forward! <3

Narutoanime16

I love how scary Amon is and he's very smart I like him more than the firelord lol and happy to see Korra show her emotions at rhe end and Amon made a good point at the end

I love hearing the announcer for some reason. I am pretty sure he was the announcer in An Extremely Goofy Movie during the sports race.
