You should watch episode 8 of The Boys presents: Diabolical. It gives more background to homelander as a child and shows how he became the way he is.

You can turn off auto play and then you don’t have to scramble to stop it from skipping the credits. It’s even better on Netflix since it stops the auto playing trailers while you browse.

To be fair, A-Train is somewhat less evil than some other heroes though. He shows signs of remorse for his actions. No sincere desire to change, but he does feel bad about the things he's done
