We've watched Man of Steel together, but what do I do next? Do we skip Batman vs. Superman and suffer through the first Suicide Squad together? Or do we just go straight to Wonder Woman? Let me know in the poll!

I would like to watch the second Suicide Squad (2021) eventually, so if you think I need to watch the first one to understand it, lmk :)

If you do Batman v Superman, it needs to be the Ultimate Edition

Sadly i concur with the %'s not a fan of the other 2 ;)

Suicide Squad was trash. Just warning you

not a fan of anything in this list...

The ending of wonder woman is slightly related to events that happen in BVS. Also it isn't as bad as people say it is.

I didn't realize ANYONE was saying the first Wonder Woman was bad. Even "Teen Titans Go to the Movies" did a self-aware in-joke about Wonder Woman being the only Warner/DCU movie that didn't tank with regular civilians. (Now, "Wonder Woman 1984" OTOH...)

I mean BvS isn’t a masterpiece but it by far is not the worst DC movie - it’s shot well, there’s some good performances, and it’s pretty essential to understand the actual very good DC movies. Definitely worth a watch!

It's so interesting to see the comments here mostly praising WW and being more meh for Batman vs. Superman. (I agree with that assessment, by the way.) My previous impression was that generally D.C. fans thought Snyder was a great director and were more "take it or leave it" regarding W.W.

Nicholas Sulikowski

This is a hard decision. Wonder Woman is a better film than BvS. And the Snyderverse is going away. However it might be interesting to see the Snyder Saga at it is, even if just following the basic skeleton of Man of Steel, Batman v Superman ULTIMATE Edition, and Zack Snyder's Justice League (4 hour cut). Wonder Woman is a much better film, and if you just want to stick with origins, that's fine. But doing the Snyder trilogy might be interesting, even if it's not your cup of tea. In particular, BvS is a very direct sequel to Man of Steel, dealing very immediately with the fallout of the climax of that movie. And it also sets up Wonder Woman, so you have that nice bridge and continuity. Additionally, BvS ULTIMATE is mandatory if you ever intend on watching any version of Justice League. I will say though, Suicide Squad (2016) is easily the worst one listed here. MY ADVISE: Watch the Snyderverse (Man of Steel, BvS Ultimate, Zack Snyder's JL), just to see what that trilogy was trying to do. And then watch great standalones like Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Shazam!, and we'll take it from there.

I think it's mostly general fans that are good with WW, not so much with BvS. DC fans, at least the ones on here, seem to think that every DCEU film must be watched, even the bad ones - like WW84.

Wonder Woman is the best film of the lot easily, but if you get to BVS it needs to be the extended cut otherwise it’s just a waste of time

Canonically watching Wonder Woman makes sense. if you're going to watch Batman Vs Superman, watch the ultimate edition, it's better than the theatrical release. Watch both Justice League and the Syndercut to see how badly Joss Whedon did on the theatrical version.

Phillip D Piris

Might I suggest Brightburn as slight movie detour.

I agree watching wonder woman is fine (minimal spoilers for bvs) but I'd say go back to batman v superman (extended) at some stage, before justice league obviously, it has issues but it's worth a watch, I quite enjoyed it

Look, I'm not gonna argue that Joss Whedon is a good person. Many brilliant artists are objectively terrible people. But let's not lay the blame for Justice League completely at his feet. Thousands of ppl worked on that movie and he came in at the 11th hour to try to finish baking someone else's cake. He had to work with a script he probably didn't like, a cast and crew he didn't know and a ton of footage he didn't shoot. Did he make a better movie than what Snyder would have made? Probably not. Did he make it worse? Maybe. Could anyone else have done better? Probably not by much. Whether he polished the turd or smushed it, at the end of the day, it's still a turd.
