Hi Nat. I think they should continue with another season for Obi Wan. He needs to build his home and work with Qui Gon. He’s alive while the resistance is born & he leaves Bale by saying if you need me, you know how to reach me. Leaving Reva alive also makes sense for a season 2. Her redemption isn’t over. I think she needs to sacrifice her self in some scenario where she’s protecting Obi Wan or Luke or someone important. I’m too tired to elaborate. It’s 3:30am here. Take care & Stay Golden ✌️

Happy Wednesday Nat. This is about the 6th attempt at getting this message published, so fingers crossed. We finally reached the end of the sandy road. You waited for 6 episodes, but you finally got your Liam Neeson moment. I'd give this show a B- It was enjoyable but not exceptional. There were certainly some great moments, especially the final duel with Vader, but the story wasn't that involving, and it felt padded out to fit the 6 episodes. The use of John Williams' themes at the end certainly added to those final scenes. I loved your line "Enjoy Alderaan while it lasts" and also Luke! Luke! Luke! - Where is he? "They clearly don't know" 😂 Thanks for another fun video Nat and May the Force Be with You. Yes you definitely have to use that line 😊💛

This show reminds me of a bad renovation job on a house. The foundations remain in the same poor condition as before. They just put a nice, shiny paint job on it and call it a day. It's like they wanted the payoff without putting in the work. That's how all the Star Wars Disney+ shows (except for The Mandalorian) and MCU Disney+ shows feel to me (I guess you could also group in the live-action Disney remakes, too). They all have good and bad in them, and they end up being average shows. I don't think they even need to add more episodes. Just cut out all the unnecessary stuff and have these short seasons be more focused. Anyways, just my opinion

I think the warnings are for Americans

After the steaming pile that was Rise of Skywalker. I've personally found very little that was overly offensive with any of the D+ Star Wars shows. Each one is highly entertaining with maybe one or two weak links each. Whereas TRoS makes me wanna drink Drano. For me, the Kenobi/Vader rematch kicked not only ass, but new forms of ass that it itself invented just for the purpose of kicking it.

Agreed. I think that for some unknown reason, probably nostalgia, a lot of people have extremely heightened expectations for any Star Wars content, despite it having been campy and dumb from the very beginning with New Hope. I think the best we can hope for is a dumb, entertaining experience. TRoS and all of the sequel movies IMO sucked ass because they just didn't know what they wanted to do with them. There was no coherent storyline and it really felt like Disney thought that they could put 0% effort in because the brand would carry them to success no matter what. Obi Wan Kenobi series has a ton of problems, but that's exactly what I expect from a Disney, and Star Wars instalment. It's fine. It's just something you can watch and enjoy after having a few beers and taking a break from some emotionally heavy shite like Euphoria or Chernobyl. I think they did what they could within their constraints and it was mostly fine

The Star Wars animated stuff is pretty much all that's left besides the new shows coming soon if you want to dive deeper. There's probably a condensed list of The Clone Wars and Rebels episodes that would make for an interesting reaction.

I don't see it being the same case with Marvel shows on the MCU, but I might be biased. Mandalorian S1 and S2 were pretty great (not perfect, but enjoyable overall) since they didn't heavy rely on nostalgia, something this show relies heavily on. It was a new character, a fresh look, with a spaghetti western vibe. Marvel shows are mostly introduction for new characters with some additional exploration of others, and although they also have their flaws, they are pretty well received for the most part by the general public. These characters need further development in the future, just like others did. For example, the first Captain America movie got bashed to the ground by the critics and public, and look how much everyone loves Steve Rogers after the Infinity Saga.

few things. the most importent stuff i feel this episode is the music, when vader decides to let it go its the first time this series his theme plays. and when obi leaves alderaan also the old theme plays cause hes back on track. luke NEVER saw a light saber before episode 4 so he didnt do it this episode, he run away first and was uncontious later. and luke DID know ben, so much that i think they must have met later again as he said in episode 4 "obi wan kenobi ? does she mean old ben kenobi?" so he remembers bens name and i doubt he would from a talk when he was 10 years old xD also the sentences "hey there" obi says to luke is the first sentences he speaks to luke in episode 4 so thats an easter egg xD

i give the show as entire an 8/10. i was very entertained

Well, I said the same thing you said about The Mandalorian in my original comment. The first Captain America movie is not a show and doesn't suffer the same issues as the MCU Phase 4 shows (it's actually a good movie)

I loved that you enjoyed the soundtracks. The one who did the st here is the same one that did Loki. Natalie Holt. She's great! though her work on Obi-Wan wasn't as good as Loki due to her not having full freedom as to what she can make compared to Loki where Kevin Feige gave her full freedom plus continuous support.

I hear Arcane is great, but haven't seen JJ for a long time so would enjoy rewatching. I'm also one of apparently very few people who isn't a big fan of cartoons when there's so much quality live action content to experience. That said, I'll gladly also check out Arcane when Nat does get to it, which I'm sure she will soon enough

Jackson

I’ve found that there are things done within animation that simply can’t be pulled off in live action, and vice versa. Arcane does a brilliant job of showcasing the beauty of artists bringing a story to life through their art.
