I like the show but mostly because of the character moments. And the lightsabers. It has the problem of any prequel: we know certain things have to happen, and it means there's a certain lack of tension in the plot. That said, the new trailer for Andor looks liiiit.

Even with all its issues, I still love this show. Maybe it's just the chance to watch Ewan play Obi Wan again. The writing may be ridiculous at times, but the acting has really been great from everyone, Reva included. Then again the acting in the Star Wars Universe has never been among its weaknesses.

Finally! Someone who speaks English! This is not the best show in the world, it’s not trying to be, it’s telling a story I like the way it was told. I can see where it needs to be fixed and it looks like Andor is taking care of those issues but that doesn’t strip away the fact that I had fun.

my favorite part is when Vader does force kung fu with his robot hands **the UP/PUSH AWAY** during the saber fight with Reva, i was like DAAAMN and then he finishes with the Michael Jackson signature leg kick or he should've anyway

Andrew

Congrat Natalie! You made it onto the Russo Brothers tiktok!

Trish Murphy

We didn’t know for sure about Reva’s back story but I did have a hunch since part 1 with the opening order 66 scene. She must have felt abandoned by Obi Wan. Not sure if she would have heard Obi telling Jedi to stay away from the temple

I have to disagree with you Hold, I thought the acting in a lot of Episodes 1, 2, and 3 was pretty rough, most of which I think we can attribute to Lucas not being the greatest director in the world, there was plenty of acting talent available. Hayden and Natalie are fine actors in other projects, but their whole romance arc just felt wrong.

Damn, you look so bored at the start of the vid. I feel like Reva is gonna die, she was supposed to, but, NO, KK decided that she survived , despite Favreau being against it, and give her a solo series, the week that episode aired. Oh my God !!! the rolling eyes, so fucking funny. She survived, Yeah ???? Besides, Qui-Gon, was a pussy for dying from a lightsaber through the guts. Her and the robot are having a moment, LOL. Lola, a BRIGHT RFED light in Dark place, director of photography do doesn't know how light works, LOL. I got to give them that, it's not Jon Williams, but it's a good soundtrack.

C'mon everyone. We HAVE to get Nat to watch the She-Hulk trailer! She has to see just how much she IS Tatiana Maslany's Jennifer Walters lol. From her face & facial expressions, the way she talks, her mannerisms, quirkiness, etc. I can't unsee it now.

Opti_Frog

Cry a bit more, why don't you. No one is forcing you to be Nat's patreon. Why not find reactors that are more to your taste instead of whinging?

Thomas Yanez

Oh, did they release a trailer where the CG didn't look like total ass?

Anonymous

Wow someone’s an entitled little prick, aren’t they? Natalie is gonna watch what she wants to watch. Don’t like it? Leave

Michael Rockenfelder

Oh look, blaming Kathleen for the things you don't like while praying Favreau and Filoni for things you do. Little do you realize Kathleen oversees EVERYTHING.

Jeff E

The SDCC trailer has MUCH improved CG. Has anyone told her, or has she noticed, how much Tatiana Maslany's performance as Jennifer Walters is just like HER? That's the first thing I thought when I saw the first trailer. I'm talking human form.

Daniel Vezina

Yeah, she oversees everything. It's when she meddle, that things turn to shit.

I can see where you're coming from in terms of Reva's arc and how late the reva-lation (sorry, I had to) was for you. For me personally I liked it, especially when there are little hints here and there in the story and her performance that something else is motivating her. Part III had that intense reaction when she discovered the Jedi safe house with the carvings of the sigil and names, just how angry she became at seeing those thing fed into her past as she learnt how many Jedi escaped while her friends died and she hid "in the gutter". It was a reminder of what she didn't get for either herself or the other younglings

Daniel Vezina

Plus neither Filoni or Favreau's name are attach to that dumpster fire So yeah, when it's Bad it's KK's fault, but when it's Good it's Filoni and Favreau.

Personally I really think the narrative would have been so much stronger if we were given her backstory from the beginning with a half/half split between her & Obi Wan. Reva's story had the potential to be SUPER interesting, a youngling who ended up an undercover inquisitor, hoping to assassinate Vader, but they chose not to explore that at all. I really would have loved to have been able to see from her perspective her struggling to maintain the illusion of being a sith, having to socialize and work with the other inquisitors at the sacrifice of everything she held dear, but once again Disney thinks interesting = boring :/

Tomas

Personally, I'd say one of the main issues is that it *isn't* really telling a story, but that they just felt the need to force some content in between the PT and OT without really having a plan. It's great to see Ewan as Kenobi again, but the things that happen in the show really makes no sense. Is Vader seriously hunting Kenobi or not? I really can't tell, because that means Vader either let him go on a number of occasions for no apparent reason, or that Vader is very incompetent and / or pointlessly roundabout in his actions, in a way that's not consistent with his character from elsewhere in the franchise. Again, there's not really a story here, just an attempt to force an open conflict between Vader and Kenobi for no reason. The entire premise of kidnapping Leia to make Kenobi move makes no sense unless we assume a whole lot of things that makes the Empire seem very stupid when taking the OT into account.
