We’re so close to being ready for No Way Home…

One of the most emotional scenes in any superhero movie period.

Darryl Low

Happy Marvel Monday Nat. Hope you had a great weekend. Been looking forward to watching this one with you. Loved your awesome intro, it was so funny, and your new chair looks very cool indeed. You'll need to come up with a name for her, now that Chairlize has retired 😊 I thought it funny that you were watching Spider-Man, and your nemesis at the beginning was The Fly 😄 Your laughter throughout this movie was really infectious Nat, which made what was coming at the end even more heart breaking. Oh man, the tears. Andrew Garfield is in the moment, and gives it is all 😢 I hope you went out and did something fun afterwards, and gave Koda a big hug. Thanks for a fun, but oh-so emotional video today Nat. Your reaction was just incredible 💛

Ben Wheeler

I'd be happy to take your old chair off your hands XD

Randee Carreno

Happy Monday, Natalie! 😊 I'm going to watch this one right now. And I've got several tissues ready for that ending. You are now totally ready for when "Spider-Man No Way Home" is out on digital. Have a great day today! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Anonymous

Yes finally 🙌🏻🥲 this one broke me too 😢 P.d. Nat, have you seen Ready Player One? It's a great movie too. Please keep it in mind maybe for a future reaction? Please 🙏🏻🤗

Joe Blankenship

We were all expecting waterworks for this one.

Anonymous

Oh my, that intro had me dying with laughter xD

Anonymous

This awesome intro scene with Spidey web swinging around gave me such a nerdgasm when I watched this on cinema, it's just amazing. After that, the "Rhino" made me cringe to the point I almost pass out. The movie has some real highs and some real lows, but it's pretty enjoyable over all. And the suit is just PERFECT.

Tiago Borges

Oh I just got that same chair this week. I am in my third chair since the pandemic started, so I decided to throw some good bucks and buy the, arguably, best gaming chair and see if it lasts. Read many good things about it.

Andrew Polinski

I was so glad when we didn't get a Mary-Jane Watson in this movie, I absolutely despise her as a character not just in the movies but also in the comics. In my opinion Gwen Stacy's death in the comics and in film is what defined Spider-Man as a hero not actually Uncle Ben's death and the whole "With great power comes great responsibility speech" it wasn't until Gwen's death that he developed the humility to be a true hero. Mary-Jane is just a very vain, self absorbed character, but of course I don't know what sort of character development she has received in the last 10 years or so.

Jomero

I always found it funny in the Tobey Maguire movies that they cast a blonde to play a redhead (Mary Jane), and a redhead to play a blonde (Gwen Stacy).

Darren Penuliar

I know everyone hypes gaming chairs but I feel like actual office/ergoniomic chairs are way more comfortable. My rec is the staples hyken!

Navjot Singh

The sad part is that if Nat would wait for it to hit streaming, then it would be a very very long waiting period, given that it's a Sony movie. Minimum 6 months from the date of release.

Navjot Singh

Your intro was hilarious. Your chair looks amazing and so does your hair :D Fun fact: When Emma Stone calls him Peter by mistake, that was an actual mistake on her part. But the director liked it so much, he kept it in the final copy.

collegeguy6377

As a Spider-Man fan and comic reader, as soon as I saw the clocktower in the theater when I was 14 I started panicking. It's almost shot for shot straight out of the comic that's known as "The night Gwen Stacy died" from the 70's.

Onno Smits

This was a great reaction! Sorry to hear about your loss Nat. ❤ I know you were probably kidding when stressing about an upcoming flight, but just as a fun fact: All planes that size do come equipped with on-board collision detection systems (ACAS) that would have informed the pilots of the upcoming conflict. The system even communicates between the planes so that one pilot gets the announcement to dive, whilst the other gets the announcement to climb. That way they never evade in the same direction, colliding anyway.

Byron

The Gwen Stacy tragedy (he actually caught her… but with the sudden stop, his web broke her back) is a big part of Spider-Man lore. It’s part of the poignancy of Spider-Gwen’s character arc, since he dies and she lives. The Mary Jane character came along later. I’m glad that there was an opportunity to honor the Gwen Stacy story line, even if it is hard to watch (and in a movie that is otherwise pretty ham-fisted and lazily written). Emma and Andrew really got it right.

Fred Aczon

Stan Lee really had it in for the Stacy Family when he originally wrote these stories.

Julien Grenier

The weapons we see at the end were there to announce the next project for this version of Spider-man character, the Sinister Six, 6 Spider-Man villains, some we aleready saw in movies : the Doc Ock arms we saw in Spider-Man 2, Kraven the Hunter that we'll see in a future own movie, Rhino in this movie, the wings of Vulture we saw in Homecoming, Mysterio from Far From Home (at the times of this movie, the last two were never seen in a Spider-Man movie) and of course Green Goblin. But because this movie underperformed at the box office, the project was cancelled... But.... maybe one day.....

Brian Jones

While this was certainly not the best of the Spider-Man films, the one thing it did really well was develop the relationship between Peter and Gwen to the point of making the dramatic turn at the end impactful. The theater I was in went dead silent the moment that happened, and you could hear a pin drop. And Garfield sold the hell out of the performance. Fans of the comic pretty much knew it would happen eventually as it's a pivotal moment in the actual comics, but as cheesy as the rest of the film was, they handled that moment really well. Shame we didn't get a third film out of the deal (at least not yet). Great reaction as always, and sorry for your loss as well. Hope you have a safe trip and look forward to your reaction for No Way Home.

This movie didn't actually underperform that much. The least successful Spider-Man movie, but still really profitable. The rebooting of it was because Sony was going through a lot of corporate turbulence and failings; the Sony leaks/hacks happened and made Sony need financial help. Which is why they teamed up with Marvel Studios/Disney.

Tay Schumaker

Despite its flaws, the chemistry between Garfield and Stone is so good and so strong it makes both movies immensely watchable. And Andrew Garfield is so good, he deserved better scripts

Matthew

Im sorry for your loss Nat. Hope you and Tyler are doing ok

Anonymous

Hi Nat and group. I rarely comment on here but thought I'd share some thoughts on this one. The score/music in this film was by Hans Zimmer, so, yeah, there's that. Also, I find it funny at times when Nat rolls her eyes at some of the unbelievable parts in these comic book movies, when "these are COMIC BOOK MOVIES". LOL. Can't really have 100% realism with something that is based on a fantasy source. But I get it. And finally, I suggest that Nat should get in Both of the Venom films considering that post credit scenes in them and No Way Home "are connected". Aside from that, I'm basically subscribed to see Nats reactions to the MCU content primarily, and everything else is extra. Good times!!!

Thomas Malley

Damn your emotional reaction wrecked me (along with the movie of course) bawling snot over here. But thank you. I needed that.

djKENTO

I love the moment Nat is like “why’s he gotta be German? Probably because he’s German in the comics” NOPE. HAHAHAH. That character is American AND A WOMAN in the comics hahah

Calo Grsf

Hi Nat and thank you for this new great, funny and emotional reaction! Congratulations, you have completed the journey hahaha, I'm glad you enjoyed the two movies, of course they are far from perfect but I always found them nice and too lowbrow, for me by the way is objectively the best of the 3 as Spiderman and I think it's a shame they didn't make the 3rd movie. I feel sorry to hear a such news 😔I just hope you're all fine there, take care, be safe and stay golden! 💛

—thoughtstorms—Keith—

Thank you for sharing that you are grieving, Natalie! I think everyone here loves you and wants you and yours to be well and as happy as possible. We also know you are strong as anyone in these films, and your enormous capacity for empathy is contributing to the healing that the nation, and world need so badly. Hang in, have a great trip, and never forget you mean the world to us!

Connor Ellis

The whole "Peter was the only one who could've been bitten" thing is cool but also really bad. As Spider-verse has shown you, there are so many other Spider-people.

Marcus Carter

The fact that this movie hit you in the feels so hard, makes me feel so sorry for you when you watch No Way Home. oh boy! No Way Home will hit you in the feels even harder.

Thomas Richter

Got yourself a fly problem? You need help from a friendly neighbourhood spider

Thomas Malley

Especially because the writers made us root for them to just get and stay together the entire way through, and by the end when Peter finally decides to devote himself to her, he loses her. It's a perfect tragedy.

Thomas Malley

You're right. Uncle Ben was the setup and Gwen was the payoff to his character arc. .. in the comics that is. Let's see where they go from here.

Inverse Voltage

You also have to remember, while there are other spider people, they are from completely separate universes. So in THIS universe, the way the venom was developed made it so that Peter Parker could be the only possible Spiderman. In other universes, the situations and conditions for the other Spiderpeople coming into being were completely different. I don't think that Sony and Marvel were originally planning to have the Maguire and Garfield Spiderman universes connect, but Marvel did a damn good job setting up the Holland universe to make it make sense how they all relate to each other. I have yet to see No Way Home, but I have seen the trailer and thus know they are definitely going with the whole multiverse concept they almost blue-balled us with in Far From Home.

Jon Hoover

"Wow, she's very knowledgeable for an assistant." Well, her father did design the Death Star.

Joe Blankenship

I don't know anyone can act with Emma Stone and not fall in love with her. Garfield couldn't.

Thomas Richter

You should watch at least the first episode of Daredevil (Netflix series) and Venom 1 and 2 before No Way Home. Just to be 100% sure.

Ilsuk Yang

I knew you got a new haircut! Ok, I'll see myself out now

JediLounger

Hey Natalie. I did not see anyone address your question about Spider-man and self healing. While it was originally designed to be rather extreme, he could regrow limbs, etc. In modern times it’s more of a rapid recovery from bruises, cuts, gashes and broken bones. He can also heal gunshot wounds, but not to the level that Wolverine does in X-Men 2. So he can get all torn up and bloody and generally be ok in the next 12-24 hours, perhaps a little more if the injuries are serious.

ISeeTrees ofGreen

i am happy to say i noticed both the hair and the chair :)

Jenna Antonelli

Ive seen this enough times to justifiably not be affected..but I had SO much anxiety leading up to her death while rewatching this with you. Knowing it hurts every time. Don't worry I was bawling along with you lol

Anonymous

Sorry for your loss. Sending good vibes.

Leaf on the Wind

You're caught up on everything you NEED to see to understand "No Way Home," but the two "Venom" movies will help explain one after credits scene, and "Into The Spiderverse" would help explain a couple of lines of dialog. Since you are about 99% caught up on everything now, it makes sense to just go to "No Way Home" instead of spending time watching three movies for one minite of understanding. Looking forward to "No Way Home."

Joel

yea....shes ready for No Way Home

Anonymous

please watch Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

Nicholas Hentges

Natalie, they are stupid 18 year olds, I think you are putting a little too much faith in their ability to navigate love.

Nicholas Hentges

You say "convenient" a lot when I think you mean "foreshadowed extensively earlier"

Kevin Bartelen

When you question the spiders being destroyed but Peter still got bit after that - I don't know why you'd question anything in this movie... I mean they clearly don't care about making sense so why should you be worried about it? Also Blue-Man-Group Electro is ALWAYS the worst version of Electro, even before this movie came out he was just bad and yet this movie kind of made him a little bit worse.

Kevin Bartelen

And then Gwen died and even the first time was like "Thank god and may we never see this Spider-Man again" Their relationship was frustrating, This Spider-man's recklessness was frustrating... I think I would have lost my mind if this movie had somehow made money. I'm sorry - she's being a bad mom? (when the kid runs towards rhino) The cops topped her from going after the kid, but not one of them even tried to stop the kid from going out there. Worst. cops. EVER.

Kevin Bartelen

Please don't watch Venom... It's so bad and Sony doesn't deserve the views.

Jayson Phillips

Felecia, Harry's assistant is Black Cat right? I forget

Jayson Phillips

Got to see Venom 1 and 2 both and then that will catch you up for No Way Home

Jayson Phillips

ohhh yeah and Daredevil season 1

Anonymous

This is the best reacting video in Natalie's channel.

Kevin

Ok now can we watch Hawkeye zzz tired of spiderman

Rey

Man you flew through these, its gonna be so fun watching you react to no way home

Jason Dolan

I'm hoping you watch both VENOM movies - since they're 90s minutes each you could probably knock them out in the SAME day! Then you'll be ready for NO WAY HOME next week!

Anonymous

Natalie you’re so perfect lol omg. I hope you love no way home when you finally watch it. It’s my fav Spider-Man movie ❤️

Anonymous

I’m waiting for your No Way Home reaction ❤️❤️❤️

Isaiah Mesa

I am very sorry for your loss. It's truly amazing how open you are.

Nic Benham

Amazing reaction as always! So i'm sorry to say it's a lot sadder than you perceived. Like in the comics, Peter webs Gwen as she falls. However in the movie, she does not actually hit the ground. The webbing breaks her back as he catches her. It's a major point in Peters development as Spiderman. Ben taught and showed him his responsibility but Gwen's death truly served as his realisation to the dangers and consequences to how he treats that responsibility.

Jerick E

I put off watching this reaction coz I knew it was going to wreck me. I am so sorry for your loss. As for your reaction. I agree that Andrew makes me feel more for him whenever he is on screen. He can definitely make me feel like I empathize with what he's going through sheer acting and of course with Marc Webb's directing and cinematic shots. Like you said in your reaction, the quiet moment and the thud... and then showing the passing of the seasons. It's subtle but it really makes you think like "wait... is she really gone?" among other thoughts and feelings. Andrew is really my favorite Spidey and these 2 films has solidified him in my book that I try to watch almost everything that he is in. What I didn't expect is how hard this movie hit you. Again I am sorry for your loss, it's unfortunate that you had to go through that and also react to something that reminds you so closely to everything.

Andrew Garfield is such an amazing actor, still my favourite spiderman for sure, if you want more from Andrew 2 great films are Hacksaw Ridge and Tick Tick Boom, he puts everything into his work!
