Lmao ok I've noticed it a few times and just let em slide bc I know what you actually mean but I think you don't quite know what "baddie" means. I think you meant 'zuko is a bad ass' "baddie" is usually describing especially attractive independent women. so you might confuse some people calling a 15 year old a baddie lol

Baddie is also used very commonly to mean "bad guy." As in the Mitchell & Webb sketch about the two Nazis where one of them suddenly goes: "Hans... are we the baddies?"

It is both fun and frustrating hearing "I hope they don't ___ later in the series" or "I hope they ____" because I can't talk about it in the comments, but ALWAYS want to.

Woooo season 1 down! a note to take into account: in s2 and s3 the 2-parters (and 4-part finale) are combined on Netflix into 1 episode, so watch out for that

You and centipedes Nat. Will you ever get along? 😊 2 really great episodes today. A lot of really good scenes and character moments leading to an emotional pay off. You reaching for the tissues Nat always breaks me. I noticed the finale was another episode directed by Dave Filoni, one of the show runners of The Mandalorian, and he wrote and directed some of the episodes of that show too. He always seems to be very visual with his storytelling, and the black and white imagery depicting the world being out of balance was very striking. Loved the score too. Thanks for another amazing ATLA video today Nat, and I look forward to you starting on the next season 💛

Now that you have finished Season 1 I can share this video with you - I doublechecked and there are no spoilers for Seasons 2 and 3. As a martial artist for a little over 15 years, one of my favorite aspects of this show was it's use of martial arts and how different styles influence different bending. Even the different personalities in the show use the styles uniquely, adding more to the storytelling and character development. I already tear up a lil when I watch these on my own (and maybe smoke a lil some'in some'in to get more into it xD) but stone sober watching along with Nat, when she starts tearing up it's like I'm sympathy balling with uncontrollable tears streaming down my face; lol xD. Great react and I am SO EFFIN EXCITED for ya to start season 2, Nat! So many great new characters, stories, and development!

Also, a small suggestion for starting season 2 with the episode count and way they fall, perhaps doing 3 episodes each time instead of just 2? You'll power through a bit faster, and since the episodes are so short, it'd be about like watching 1 episode of GoT timewise

Somehow Aang merging with the ocean spirit always cracks me up since he turns into this giant funky fish man and starts killing everyone. The animation and use of colors in this episode is SO GOOD. It's such a tease for what's about to come. Excited for season 2! 💛

BEGGING you to do more than 4 episodes a week, would be so cool if you squeezed in an extra avatar day each week or did 3-4 episodes each time instead of 2. I CANT GET ENOUGH OF THESE EPISODES it makes me so happy to experience this show again with you Natalie!!

Regarding the ages -- Aang is 12, Katara 14, Sokka 15, Zuko 16. Aang does mature over time, but you have to wait awhile for it. Don't let it annoy you too much, though. Remember, he was stuck in an iceberg while the rest of the world has lived under war conditions for a century. ATLA is one of those things that actually does answer every question you have by the end, and gives you (almost) everything you want as a viewer. You just have to wait. And the good thing is, the wait is worth it because the show is so consistently good.

The best thing about this show is that it only keeps getting better and better. Season 1 is pretty good, but season 2 and 3 still blows it out of the park. Can't wait!

For season two and three, they start doing “previously on avatar” at the beginning of each episode… I recommend skipping them because they may spoil some aspects of an episode. It was more for kids who were watching this when it first came out since episodes were released one at a time usually.

There's never enough Uncle moment hahaha and concerning Apa and Momo I'm the same as you, I always get mad when animals in films/series are injured or killed hahaha, animals are cute! And would be funny to see a reaction from you with a film about spiders or other insectoid creatures 😆 (just kidding hahaha) I just can't wait to see your next step in the show, season 2 is so coooool! Yeah they seemed to spend more money on the bigger episodes. You can tell the animation is a bit sharper in this one. It's similar to the animation upgrade that they did in season 3, especially the second half. The colors really pop and I always enjoy when I get to that part of the show.

Hmm. Don't fully agree with this. They're quite helpfull sometimes when you watch it for the first time. But they definitely screw up suprise factors. Then again seen a lot of reactors being confused how stuff ties together (they eventually get it tho). Think the easiest thing for nat is to sync it up at the intro or cover her ears lol

I don't know if you've ever seen The Legend of Korra, but you find out that Zhao didn't necessarily die, but instead was taken to a prison in the spirit world. For all intents and purposes though, he is dead lol

Just to be clear, since a lot of people don't really catch until a second watch, the moon spirit called to Aang and using his spiritual connection and power, merged with Aang into the giant Ocean Koi Monster spirit, with Aang as it's physical conduit, to get revenge for the death of it's partner spirit, the moon. Cool note is that after the Moon Spirit is resurrected by Yue, the Ocean Spirit sees the moon return and retreats returning Aang, but taking one last prisoner to the spirit world, Admiral Zhao.

Watching the princess return the life force she got from the Moon Spirit always gets me too :(( There's something else in the series that also hit me just as hard. I'm sure Nat will know it when she sees it. Looking forward to season 2... i mean Book 2!!

I'm watching Avatar for the first time along side your videos. I'm betting by the end of the Show uncle Iroh will be killed, Zuko will be crushed by his death and because of it will work with Aang and the heroes against his father, and will probably help train the Avatar in Fire bending.

Now that you have finished the first season, you should watch the ATLA live action movie. It isn't good, but to me, it's like a right of passage for ATLA.

God I cannot wait for more Avatar. When I saw the first episode of this drop on the channel, literally every other series you're watching got sent straight to the backburner. I put a whole third row of burners on this stove just emphasize how back on these burners they're going. Like, I'm in the camp of tossing Marvel out of the window until ATLA is done. I'm so stoked for more of this show.

I don't know if someone already answered this, my bad if they have. One of the reasons that the water tribe wouldn't have attacked at night is because, military speaking, you're much stronger on the defense than the offense, so it would make sense for them to wait it out and maintain a strong position rather than risk losing people from their already limited numbers trying to attack
