Hey y'all!

Help me decide which to tackle first: Hawkeye or The Amazing Spider-Man films with Andrew Garfield

I know I need to get to both, so you're just helping me decide the order haha

Gotta get these Spider-Man movies out of the way before No Way Home 🕷

Patrick Egan

Gotta vote for Hawkeye. It was a really fun show, and it'll be a nice palette cleanser between the groups of Spidey flicks :)

Matthew Periolat

Garfield ONLY because I’d suggest checking out the Marvel Netflix stuff before Hawkeye. That may be a while with ATLA, but there you are.

Guillermo Antonio Ricci Alvarez

I know it might not be needed, but at least Daredevile Season 1 needs to be watch...not sure how long it will take but how Phase 4 is working(they haven't confirmed if these are part of the same universe) I believe we need to watch all Marvel/Netflix shows

Darryl Low

I'm excited to see you carry on web-swinging Nat, and then start on something new. Haven't watched Hawkeye yet, so looking forward to that too 💛

Anonymous

Lucifer

Daniel Luna

Yeah get the Spider-Man movies out of the way in my opinion in preparation for No Way Home. BUT I’d rather you start on Daredevil (Netflix) before you start on Hawkeye and No Way Home. That’s just me though.

Ian

Happy Wednesday nat been saving Hawkeye to watch along with you so voted for that but I don't mind which wins tbh seeing as you're watching both options in any case Its all good 💛

Nemesis

Its all coming together...😈😈 hehehe

Tony Johnson

You might as well throw the Venom movies on the list as well :)

Randee Carreno

Happy Wednesday, Natalie! 😊 As much as I'm looking forward for you to watch "Hawkeye", the two "Amazing Spider-Man" movies definitely got my vote. Especially if you plan to watch "Spider-Man: No Way Home" on digital at the end of the month. They are a must-watch if you're planning to see the new Spider-Man movie. Then you can move on to "Hawkeye". Have a great day today! 😊 Stay Golden! 💛

Joe Blankenship

I'm guessing she's switched to 4 a week with polls on Wednesday. This is like the 3rd week of no video on Wednesday.

Joe Blankenship

I figured Hawkeye would easily be in the lead, but it's not over yet.

Anonymous

I second this. Would be good to watch at least the Daredevil series before Hawkeye and No Way Home.

Troy B.

Daredevil Season One before Hawkeye. (And if possible, before Spider-Man: No Way Home.)

Len

I would recommend watching the Daredevil series on netflix before hawkeye!

Julian Calzada

Too much SM, you gonna burn out

Onno Smits

Either is fine. Hawkeye was amazing. Best MCU Disney+ show so far! PLEASE DON'T LISTEN TO PEOPLE TELLING YOU YOU HAVE TO WATCH DAREDEVIL FIRST. It's _really_ not required, just a small little bonus if you have seen it.

Hairy Potter

Hawkeye definitely wins the imaginary poll for me but I hope she at least gets to daredevil before she watches Hawkeye.

JayyDTR

I think TASM movies are most important in the scheme of things, and as many have noted Daredevil is an incredible watch for the next series IMO seeing as Hawkeye can wait and it'll bring you up to speed with the Netflix characters that may appear going forward :)

Danishprince

I'm currently on a big Spider-Man wagon so voted for Amazing Spider-Man! While both movies have their issues I think Garfield did an absolutely wonderful job with the character and love his version of it

Anonymous

I came here from my email to literally say this exact thing. It might not be needed, but highly recommend watching DD before watching Hawkeye. You can go season 1 DD, then Hawkeye and then finish DD.

Steven Hok

I second starting Daredevil on Netflix before Hawkeye and No Way Home

Anonymous

They honestly aren't that great, and unnecessary...even for THAT. Maybe for some chuckles and popcorn, but not comparable to MCU quality imo.

Ben Wheeler

Like others have said, I would say watch Amazing Spiderman before No Way Home and Daredevil before Hawkeye. How much to watch first is a question mark cause there's a lot of Daredevilverse

Niklas

Definitely TASM.

Anonymous

Hawkeye is better, but you need to watch the Spidey films before you get to No Way Home.

Tony Sanson

Amazing Spider-Man films get my vote just for the tie-ins to No Way Home, and that should be released digitally in the next few weeks. Maybe? Can't wait for you to get to Hawkeye though. Tied with Loki at 2nd favorite Marvel show

Darryl Low

It'll be coming. Nat is just wanting to plan her next reactions.

Anonymous

Hawkeye. Though as others have pointed out, watching Daredevil may help with digesting some of the plot points of Hawkeye, especially if you're not already well-versed in the Marvel New York comic universe.

Anonymous

Hey Nat, not that it’s a huge necessity for Spider-Man No way home but any chance you could throw Daredevil Season 1 on a poll in the future?

Anonymous

The ASM movies are pretty bad but essential viewing for when you watch No Way Home. Hawkeye is an excellent show. I think you’ll enjoy it when you get to it.

Anonymous

I voted for ASM and Im going to echo others suggesting Daredevil season 1. It may not be entirely necessary, but it's a great series.

Erik Stevenson

No need to watch Hawkeye before the holiday season this year unless you just want to watch it earlier; certainly no need to watch Netflix Marvel shows before Hawkeye. And this is from a fan of Hawkeye lol.

Lemuel Daher

Will you ever go back to It Part 2?

Anonymous

ASM 1 & 2 get way more hate than they deserve, they're not as bad as everyone says. There are certain narrative decisions in the second one that justifiably leave one scratching their head. But they are competent movies and Andrew and Emma have more chemistry than Tobey and Kirsten and Tom and Zendaya.

Rev.J

Before Hawkeye you’d have to to do Daredevil first. MC(TV)U is long journey. Can’t just jump in, you’d miss out on so many references.

Anonymous

Hawkeye, I have to watch it, too. So it would be an incentive for me not to binge it 🙂

Andrew Courtney

Both of these will make for good reactions. I just hope to one day see Agents of Shield back on a poll. Really loved what that show did.

Andrew Dickinson

For No Way Home, Spiderman, for a giggle, Hawkeye.

Anonymous

BOBA FETT and the new trilogy!!! StarWars content has been seriously lacking. Given the choices, my vote is for Hawkeye.

chicks dig me

Hawkeye is wonderful, a really pleasant surprise I wasn't expecting! Hailee Steinfeld is great as Kate Bishop, as good a performance as when she was nominated for an Oscar for True Grit. Other than that i have only one word. ...YELENA!

chicks dig me

I think people who say you have to watch Daredevil before Hawkeye or ASM just want to watch DD because really, it's not necessary.

Sean

Hawkeye's fun though the finale stumbled imo, but I have to vote ASM because it's two steps closer to No Way Home.

Chris Chatham

Hawkeye is great, but you need to get those Spider guys out of the way.

George Baxter

Most of the comments say Hawkeye… but people are voting for Amazing Spider-Man. I worry that people think ASM is good now. And I know that people will reply; “Garfield and Stone were great!” Just because they had good chemistry doesn’t mean the writing was good or that the origin wasnt a rehash or that the sequel wasn’t overly stuffed!! The only reason we got Holland MCU Spider-Man was because those films didn’t work

Tay Schumaker

NWH is out for digital purchase on 2/28. Which means I can't see her doing it till the first week of March at the earliest. Plenty of time for both

Anonymous

You could probably sprinkle the Hawkeye eps in between the remaining Spider-Man films

NFXx

Doesn’t really matter to me, either or but looks like ASM is already winning so voted for that one. Also like others are saying if you can watch at least the first season with Daredevil it would help with Hawkeye, but you can watch it after Hawkeye and especially before No Way Home.

Anonymous

I only voted for Spider-man because it's essential for No Way Home. Hawkeye is my true vote but No Way Home comes out in February no?

asia roberson

If you seen the black widow movie then yes watch Hawkeye but if you haven't I suggest you watch the black widow movie first before Hawkeye. Just a suggestion.

Ken Schneyer

I think the old Spider-Man films are only just barely relevant for seeing "No Way Home." And, in any case, "Hawkeye" was released before "No Way Home," and so far as I know, there's nothing in the Garfield movies that relates to "Hawkeye" at all. (The only likely prep for "Hawkeye" might be watching the entirety of "Daredevil", but that strikes me as excessive.)

Eric Janssen

“But I need to watch more Marvel, even if it’s on streaming!” Okay, Nat: You can be the first groundbreaking reactor to react to X-Men: TAS, on Disney+….Even if just the first season, someone has to sooner or later, and it’ll be a nice reboot after Logan. 😎👍

Thomas Malley

No one cares that much about Hawkeye, really. And canonically, it doesn't seem to do much, other than setting up the next Hawkeye character.

Kate Herzig

I feel like Hawkeye is more relevant right now. I'd probably wait for the Amazing Spiderman films until right before you can stream No Way Home. But that's just me. Either way, they'll be watched, but that just makes more sense to me.

Anonymous

Amazing Spider-Man is 2 movies while Hawkeye is 6. You can just knock them out of the way faster if you watch the movies before No Way Home comes out to rent

Anonymous

I was about to say, this is such a hard choice, but if you're eventually doing both, then I have to vote for Spidey.

Anonymous

If you can, it'd be better to watch Daredevil before getting to Hawkeye. It's a small thing but it helps.

Seymor Butz

Neither. Am I the only one getting tired of the mcu and super hero movies.

George Baxter

Do you really think watching TASM is 'essential' for watching No Way Home?? Really??? Sure its nostalgic and cathartic but for someone watching these films for the first time back to back that's not going to make the film better! Frankly watching TASM so close to No Way Home is going to make it really hard to ignore how bad those films are in relation to No Way Home!!

George Baxter

Frankly the pay off is in no way good enough to justify watching all of Daredevil before Hawkeye! That's just insane

George Baxter

I would say at least with Hawkeye there is a worthwhile emotional through line that would make sense to Nat. Watching The Amazing Spiderman before No Way Home is about nostalgia and Nat is watching these films back to back; she has no nostalgia for Garfield!

George Baxter

I don't like the way people are trying to force their nostalgia onto Nat.. at least with Hawkeye there is a worthwhile emotional through line that would make sense to her... She's watched The MCU in order and even has had time to absorb it. Watching The Amazing Spiderman before No Way Home is about nostalgia and Nat is watching these films back to back; she has no sentimentality for Garfield! And those films are not good!!!

George Baxter

Im pretty sure that being forced to watch the Amazing Spider Man films immediately before No Way Home is not going to get the nostalgic reaction people are expecting... At least Hawkeye builds on the movies she's seen before

George Baxter

I thought Hawkeye was one of the better MCU shows. Its fun and strange whilst exploring a character whose been underplayed in the Universe. TASM is more Spiderman... Not even very different Spiderman, its a twist on an origin film she literally just watched!

Anonymous

No preference!

David Crabtree

Then you don't have to watch. Problem solved. Majority of Natalie's reactions are non-superhero.

David Crabtree

That's the beauty of movies being subjective. You don't like them? Perfectly valid opinion. They're my favorite of the live-action Spider-Man films.

Rey

Actually no preference really I feel like you'll be able to knock both out in a quick.enough time, but since NWH will be on digital release soon let's do spiderman lol

Kevin

In my opinion, the amazing spiderman movies were just awful... but necessary for spiderman no way home I suppose. I suspect you'll enjoy watching Hawkeye more Natalie. Don't care which one you watch first though.

Anonymous

Please react to "LOST"

Barry

Spider-Man 3? It's not the best but it ties into No Way Home.

mranderson

People really need to stop with the «That movie is so bad», «That movie is awful» and similar negative comments. It’s in the poll, if the majority votes for it she probably will react to it even if you don’t like it, but writing stuff like that can make her go into the film with that impression. Maybe she will hate it like some of you do, but can’t we save those comments for after the reaction? Like, comments like that have never changed the poll previously anyways!

Anonymous

The Amazing Spiderman will definitely give context for No Way Home but I think you would like Hawkeye better, it adds quite a bit of much needed depth to the most forgettable Avenger. Oh, also, react to Twin Peaks!!!

MakaPeji

you don't need to watch daredevil on Netflix, I didn't and i understood the story just fine.

Josh B

Daredevil isn't necessary to watch, but it's worth watching along the way. As it's a better series than anything Disney's MCU has put out

PickettsChargingPort

Not a hard choice for me. There are too many spiderman movies. I think she'll enjoy them if it wins, though.

Saifu

ASM is the right choice since NWH digital release is dropping in a few weeks. There's no rush for Hawkeye.

Anonymous

These comments are crazy.

Thomas Malley

I think you'll love Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield's chemistry on screen. Best part of the 'Amazing' movies.

Eric Janssen

Yes, what wishful post-No Way Home fan revisionism could POSSIBLY defend the gay-emo Harry Osborne (and implied relationship, which Webb and Garfield wanted to "explore" if they'd gotten their own ASM3) from the Amazing Spiderman movies? Someone's clearly trying to reshape reality.

Philip

My vote is first season of Daredevil before watching Hawkeye. Since No Way Home is still breaking records in the box office, it’ll be at least another two months until you will get to stream it anyway. Amazing Spider-Man can wait.

Kevin

Do not postpone Hawkeye for Daredevil... these people are on something lol thinking you need to watch a whole show for a 2-second cameo that doesn't even need more explanation other than oh yeah that guy is daredevil, cool not seeing him again for the rest of the movie.

Anonymous

Yeah, Spider-man will win because of the relevance, but those two movies suck compared to Hawkeye, which I really wish Natalie would watch. So that's where I voted.

Anonymous

I also disagree that she needs to watch DD S01 before watching Hawkeye. I mean, come on. Yes, I get (spoiler alerts). But.... come on. Let a girl get her Marvel on.

Hairy Potter

For now (within the scope of this poll), I agree that it doesn't matter whether she watches DD. Both skipping and not skipping are solid choices and I am down for both. In the long run, it might give her a bit more context. The main reason that some people want her to watch TASM is that the newest spidey movie features him. And the main reason to watch DD before hawkeye is because of you-know-who. If she really put TASM on the poll as a preparation for No way home, DD would be a solid watch because it does involve a certain character as well. From the longer term perspective, it seems like Marvel is trying to incorporate some of the more memorable characters from the netflix shows. And it seems logical to me that watching at least DD is a reasonable option. But I also think that Marvel is just using the same actors but discarding whatever plot lines that were in those shows (very evident in Hawkeye), so maybe it really is completely unnecessary to watch those anymore.

chicks dig me

FWIW the run time of the 2 ASM movies is 276 minutes, the Hawk 6 is 300.

Eric Janssen

So, are we saying “She has to watch the entire dreary 12-something episodes of Netflix’s Daredevil S1 because Later!” A), because it’s the only version of the character we know of, B), we’ve either forgotten that the 2-hr. one-off ‘03 Ben Affleck movie (pref. the Extended cut) existed, or C), we’re still harboring murderous pre-MCU Curse-era grudges at it twenty years later, and…don’t remember why? (“Their Elektra was icky!”) And yes, Pvt. Pyle was a better villain in the MNU, but I think she can handle a change of actor. If they could change Hulks, we don’t have to worry about “But it’s NOT Charlie Cox, it’ll confuse her Later!”

djKENTO

I think it might not even be close to 300 if you include the CVS receipt length list of credits they tack onto all these shows.

Casen Jamvo

Hawkeye is better but Amazing Spider-Man may be more urgent

Al Baughman

Hawkeye is the best mcu series, the amazing spider-man movies are extremely underrated. I like both

Robert Reichle

It's not just a random grudge against that Daredevil movie. It was just rotten. Always will be. Anyone who has managed to forget it are lucky.

Chief

Another vote for Daredevil. Just too many connections, both now and going forward, to disregard.

Anonymous

Hawkeye! And no she doesn't need to watch Daredevil first. MCU is rebooting Kingpin and Daredevil, and that would be the most boring reaction video ever.

Eric Janssen

And they're reportedly keeping the same actors, WITHOUT eight or nine dank and dreary episodes of "the Man in Black" trying to start a legal office.

Anonymous

Can we please watch something, anything, without super-heroes? Suffering from superhero fatigue.

Eric Janssen

Hey, she’s a fangirl—If it’s not MCU/MDSU, it’s more Star Wars on Disney+. (And I remember what THEY used to call US in high school for watching that….And Tolkien and Harry Potter.)

Anonymous

Unrelated, but you should watch the show Community

Jeff E

Agree 100%!! "Hawkeye" is a much better watch, esp for Nat. She will enjoy it much more than TASM films, IMO, and that's the most important thing. Also, she 100% does NOT need to watch any season or episode(s) of "Daredevil" before watching "Hawkeye," just like she absolutely didn't need to watch "WHAT IF?" before "Hawkeye." Certain Patrons convinced her to watch that, which is the weakest MCU series by far, and she needed a break from the MCU afterwards. I wish the other Patrons on here would stop delaying "Hawkeye." To fellow Patrons of Natalie Gold, remember...It's not about whether you liked, loved or hated something. It's about whether Nat will enjoy it and the general consensus is that she'll LOVE it. So, to everyone who keeps delaying it, PLEASE STOP!

Jeff E

PSA: PLEASE STOP DELAYING NAT'S VIEWING OF "HAWKEYE!!!!!" "Hawkeye" is the final (and one of the best) MCU Disney+ series of 2021. PLEASE stop telling Nat she needs to, or should, watch other Marvel shows or movies first! Just let her complete the 2021 MCU Disney+ series before anything else Marvel! She absolutely, 100% does NOT need to watch "Daredevil" before "Hawkeye." It would be a pointless waste of time. The ONLY connection between the two series is ONE character who is portrayed differently in each show because Feige confirmed the character, who is only in ONE episode of "Hawkeye," is a different version of the character. They just recast the same person to play the MCU version of that character, who has a completely separate and different story that will be explored down the road in other projects. Countless people, including friends of mine and a lot of YouTube reactors, didn't watch "Daredevil" and/or even know who that character was and yet they still loved the show and had a great time. "Hawkeye" did a really good job establishing the MCU version of that character in the ONE episode they're in. So, again...NO, there is no need to watch any season or episode of "Daredevil" before watching "Hawkeye." Nat watched "Black Widow" in October and then could have enjoyed "Hawkeye" during the holiday season, since that's the best time to watch it. Instead, she spent her MCU time during the holiday season watching "WHAT IF?" because certain Patrons convinced her she needed to watch it BEFORE "Hawkeye." Not only was that total BS, but watching the longest and weakest MCU Disney+ series to date led to Nat needing a break from the MCU. Just let her watch "Hawkeye!"

Anonymous

Well, if she's reading your post, her viewing of Hawkeye has been delayed. I kid, I kid....but not really.

Ian

So in summary you voted for Hawkeye Jeff correct !

Jeff E

IMO, Nat will enjoy "Hawkeye" much more than TASM films, and that's the most important thing. Considering the things she liked about the "Black Widow" film, she will LOVE the "Hawkeye" series for that connection alone, but also for so much more. I think she will REALLY like every major piece of the show. It's a buddy cop show with a reluctant mentor, it's Christmas-themed to the max (in the best way possible) and it's really good storytelling with great performances. The story of an Avenger struggling, in more ways than one, with the long-term effects of being a superhero without superpowers is a great story. To all the folks voting for TASM films because you're excited for Nat to watch NWH or you have a newfound appreciation for those movies, just remember that she's going to experience them the same way we all did ORIGINALLY. As for NWH, she won't even be able to watch it on digital for several more months AT LEAST because Sony is milking every penny out of it in theaters. Sony still hasn't even announced any of the post-theatrical release dates for NWH. So it probably won't even be released for the first part of digital release until late Spring/early Summer. When it finally does get released on digital, it will start as a premium PVOD rental only ($20 - $25 minimum to RENT a digital copy for 2 days). Nat has said in the past she won't do watchalongs at price points that high. Several months after the PVOD premium rental is made available, a PVOD purchase option is usually added alongside the premium rental rate (which remains the same for a while longer). For example, Matrix Resurrections is currently listed for premium rental @ $24.99 and $31.99 to buy. Several months after that (sometime in the Fall maybe?), they will finally drop the rental price to somewhere around $5.99 but keep the full purchase price as an option. If Nat decides to wait to watch it on streaming, who knows when it will even be available. What we do know is that Sony had a deal that expired at the end of 2021 for their films to go to STARZ to stream after all of the PVOD windows are complete. NWH came out before the end of 2021, so unfortunately, even when it finally does become available for streaming, it will only be on STARZ. All of that is to say that TASM films could have waited. They could have waited MONTHS at the very least. The new crop of MCU Disney+ series are coming soon with Moon Knight and Natalie hasn't even finished the 2021 series because her Patrons keep delaying "Hawkeye."

Anonymous

Ok so I am watching Hawkeye alone, starting tonight. Damned democracy.

Nicholas Hentges

It's getting a digital release on February 28, so no. You can buy it in a 3 pack for $30, and it isnt a premium rental release, it's an actual digital release, you can preorder it now for $20. Not saying it is cheap to buy, but the rental price is only those ridiculous highs when it is advertised as an early release rental, this isnt that, so the prices for renting will be the normal 5.99. This isnt arguing against watching Hawkeye, love it, cant wait to rewatch it with nat. I am just pointing out that the price and release date have already been announced and assuming no one would spend $6 or $20 or $30 bucks to see nat react to No Way Home ASAP is crazy, and those who dont want to (or cant afford to right away) will still be able to scroll down and find it when it is on a streaming service.

Ortizmo2000

Wow. So bad they couldn't even get a trilogy finished and it's winning? Some of y'all like some crap.

James Tyrrell

Thanks to the most recent movie, it's now canon that they are the originals of the MCU universe, so 27 films and counting lol

Aaron Kirk

I loved HAWKEY so much but I voted spidey because I think she needs to get them in and see, you know…

Anonymous

Me here patiently waitin for Nats sequel trilogy reaction😔

Anonymous

Looking like the Spidey films are gonna win but I voted for Hawkeye because it was an excellent series, always prefer the more “ground level” MCU stuff and it is a hell of a lot of fun. The Amazing Spider-Man films have their charm but let’s be honest, they’re not good! Luckily they at least got the casting right!

Anonymous

Neither!!! Please watch Arcane!!! It’s only 9 episodes and it’s a Visual and Emotional Masterpiece.

Anonymous

Where's the third option? (BOTH)

Xenic Mark

Man democracy can be a bitch. Oh well, at least I don't hate TASM movies. Plus I'm so ready for the bawling in one of the movies. Y'know Nat will lose it. Also might as well throw this out there, ARCAAANNEE.

Anonymous

voted for both and nobody can stop me.

Stefan Au

but I sure hope we get to see a reaction video to Tobey's Spiderman 3 before we start with the Andrew Garfield movies?

Anonymous

I’m sure we will see S3 first, I think she is just filming ahead

Anonymous

I cant wait for her reaction to that epic scene in The Amazing Spiderman . "Time Square" if you know you know

Anonymous

I get why people want to get you to watch ASM first, but the more fun and entertaining option is still Hawkeye. Like, I have so fond memories of the original Spider-Man movies and ASM and whenever they are on television I let them run in the background, but to watch them all actively again, I'm not sure if I would really enjoy it. That being said, Hawkeye is a fresh story and has a lot of great things going for it. I hope you get around to watch Hawkeye as well in the next months :)

Jeff E

Ok, let's get the TASM films over with so we can FINALLY watch your Hawkeye videos!!!

Anonymous

After finishing the Raimi and Amazing Spider-Man series. You can follow up with the Home series. No Way Home makes for the perfect reaction video

Anonymous

PLEEEASE WATCH ARCANE NAT!!!! You will love everything about it and its only nine episodes so it shouldn't take too much time away from other things but it is such a wild ride in every sense.

Anonymous

What about Gotham, the show :) I think its awesome
