Don't worry, the Spider-Man/X-Men train isn't stopping anytime soon. My Logan reaction will be released this Friday :) But I need something different to throw into the mix.

These are all movies I haven't seen, but am really curious about. Looking forward to seeing what you guys pick!

Please stop leaving Drive in the dustbin 😆

Tom Fehr

Departed yessssss. Whiplash also great

Anonymous

Drive should be done at some point regardless of the outcome

Anonymous

Once upon a time in Hollywood?🤷🏻‍♂️

Anonymous

These are all great movies, but I have watched poor Drive come in 2nd over and over and over. Can we please stop the madness and watch this movie already?

Anonymous

If whiplash doesn't win this....

Zack Wallace

Literally voted for all of them.

Anonymous

A silent voice

Lucky Dragon ‘She.They’

I don't remember seeing a schedule for this week. Is there going to be a reaction today?

Dante

The Departed is my 3rd favorite movie of all time. Whiplash is incredible as well.

Andy Crawley

These are all great movies, definitely watch Drive when you can, the tension and soundtrack are great. But I’m voting for The Departed, it’s such a stressful film that I think you’ll have a lot of fun watching it!

PickettsChargingPort

Hmm. I've only seen one of these, so whatever is good with me

Randee Carreno

Happy Wednesday, Natalie! 😊 I had a difficult time with this poll. Couldn't decide between "The Departed" or "Whiplash". I love both of those movies. "The Departed" ended up getting my vote for this poll. Really looking forward to your "Logan" reaction on Friday. Have a great day today! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Sour

Is Drive ever going to win this poll lmao

Len

Hey Natalie! Have you seen black swan?

Kelvin

Gotta be no country. In terms of the departed the original movie Infernal Affairs is superior I think

Edgar

Departed is so feaking great , probably my fav Scorsese film. Fantastic cast too. But Whiplash is just among my all time fav films

Rey

One day drive will win..

Darryl Low

One day Ryan Gosling will release the handbrake, race ahead to the finish line and it will be a glorious day. One day 😢

Anonymous

I haven't heard of any of those, anyone have an opinion on where I should throw my vote?

Tay Schumaker

Honestly all really good movie. No Country is probably a top 3 movie of all time for me. And I really think you would enjoy Whiplash and would make for a great reaction. It's a movie that has lead to a lot of great discussion for me in the past.

Anonymous

No Country For Old Men is underrated AF..........siiiiiiiiiiiigh.........

Anonymous

She doesn't put out a new schedule every week. Usually just when there's a major update or when she knows what it's going to be for several weeks in a row.

Nemesis

I don't know any but I'm sure the people will select a good one🙏🙏🙏

Anonymous

Well, it's a clear watch them all situation once again! Also. Drive!

Navjot Singh

No Country for Old Men. Can be seen n no of times.

dieselbeast

Glad the departed is winning, would love for you to put these two on a future poll Scarface and Carlitos way hopefully one day maybe sometime this year 🤷 you won't regret watching them al pacino is gold

Anonymous

No ATLA today? :(

Joel

Is anything coming out today?

Anonymous

Could not agree more. I honestly hate The Departed cos it took such a great character driven premise and turned it into the stupidest action and violence driven blockbuster.

Danishprince

Never supposed to be ATLA upload on Wednesday. Tuesday and Thurday :)

Ian

Congratulations on 250.000 yt subs nat 🥳🎉 so much deserved words can't express just awesome 💛

Anonymous

To each, his own, but..really? Have you seen his movies from the 70s and 80s, cause pretty much every one of them is superior to The Departed in just about every way except maybe the number of very pretty people in them.

Edwin Bertilsson

When will you watch Eternals and the Hawkeye series?

Anonymous

I am baffled why everyone loves The Departed. Even Scorsese admits it's his weakest offering... maybe it's just the plot concept. In which case, you're missing out if you don't see Infernal Affairs, the film it's based on. Absolute masterpiece.

James M

Love The Departed! It is a remake of the Hong Kong film Infernal Affairs (2002) which IMO is even better.

Anonymous

Drive will be the eternal loser lol

Anonymous

Nice to step away from marvel for a bit. Also, we dropped Disney+. Too many platforms.

Anonymous

Also, Drive has to win now, simply for how much Nat clearly wants to watch it. 😀

Joe Blankenship

I've started The Departed a few times and turned it off. Haven't really given it a chance.

Anonymous

How you gonna make me choose between the departed and no country for old men?!

Anonymous

Whiplash is so good. J.K. Simmons kills it.

AC5555

I wanna see how she vibes with the songs. 😆 🎤 🎵

Brian Jones

Does it suck that I want all of them to win? :) There's not a bad film on that list.

Anonymous

All Great Movies!!

Jason Gillman

Hoping Whiplash pulls through!

Anonymous

Nat even if it doesn’t win, you’d be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t watch No Country for Old Men(on your own). Departed is fine not one of Marty’s best but the performances are outstanding. But if you want a masterclass in story and tension I’d be hard pressed to put anything above No Country (in my top five of any film I’ve seen) Plus doing a Coen Brothers run would be good times

Navjot Singh

Tbh, you should watch all of them one by one.

Kevin

I really want you to watch a Horror Film Nat! A good one though LOL!

Keenan Bartlome

Honestly the departed is extremely overrated. Whiplash is easily the best movie on here. And one of the best movies of the last decade. Drive is good too.

Harry Reece

All top notch. Even if No Country…. Doesn’t win, you should seriously consider doing a Coen Brothers run. All great pretty much and as far I’ve seen no other creator has done them. Plus still waiting for True Romance 😉

THE LORE!!!

Even if it doesn't win, Whiplash is a must down the line. I guess people think it's "not their tempo"

Thomas Malley

You're gonna LOVE Ryan Gosling in Drive! But Whiplash is probably the better movie, although they are both fantastic.

Armchair Wizard

I want her to see Drive and Whiplash so bad i can taste it.

Myles Away

Drive, No Country for Old Men, or Whiplash. The Departed is so overrated.

Jason Dolan

This is probably controversial but I actually think THE DEPARTED is Scorsese's best movie after GOODFELLAS, TAXI DRIVER and RAGING BULL. And it makes for a great reaction.

XanderWhat

Oh boy, Whiplash is like top 5 of all time for me. I love No Country too. The Departed is pretty good, but I didn't vote for it. As for Drive, love the soundtrack and visuals, but it otherwise isn't really for me

L C

As a professional musician I found Whiplash to be an eye roll, but from the outside I’m sure it was a good story. It’s the Departed for me, followed by No Country.

Anonymous

All great choices! The Departed is one of my favorite Scorsese films, has a fantastic cast.

Nathaniel Castle

Good selection, I voted Department but I think you will find them all interesting

Anonymous

Drive is awesome. Departed is great too. Others are meh 😑

Ryan

Don’t sleep on Whiplash, great movie. The Department is great to so it’s a fine consolation prize.

Lemuel Daher

Whiplash is the best film here, and these are all some of the best films of the 21st century.

Richard Maurer

No Country for Old Men is the best movie in this poll. The Departed isn't even a original. It's a remake of a Chinese movie, Infernal Affairs. A fact that the people involved with The Departed tried to keep as quiet as possible. Infernal Affairs is also the superior version, considerably better than The Departed.

Belendor229

Love we are getting some more media in the more realistic vein. Had to vote for The Departed, but No Country for Old Men is a MUST WATCH as well. Also please think of doing Master and Commander, it is an excellent and underrated movie with a great cast and unique subject matter.

Anonymous

This is an impossible poll!! All great!!

Wu Sha Ling

I don't like the plot of drive, or the characters. But I can't deny the masterful cinematography. It is mesmerizing in its subtlety and is at the same time overtly on the nose. Powerful angles and careful frame compositions. Tender moments and crude violence. Many scenes are wonderfully and frustratingly contemplative. The movie is a contradiction, but one I cannot look away from.

Elvenwitch

Not my kind of movie. Enjoy whatever gets picked.

Anonymous

All your choices are amazing films!

Andrew Howard

All good movies, though right now the votes are in almost the exact opposite order of my personal preference, lol.

Byron

Oh god, Logan! That’ll be interesting.

Philip

If the Departed does end up winning, you should also watch Infernal Affairs too - either on your own or a reaction. Because the Departed is actually the American remake of it, but the Chinese original definitely holds up on its own.

JayF

No Country for Old Men is the best of these and it's not even close. Hopefully you get to it at some point.

Mike LL

No Country for Old Men MAY be the best film of this bunch. Who cares? The Departed is the more entertaining film and will be good fun to watch with you.

Anonymous

Officially starting the petition for an Infernal Affairs watchalong in the near future. It is one of the Hong Kong greats, full of the best HK talent, including Tony Leung (the evil father from Shang-Chi). Oh, and the cinematography is stunning.

Myles Away

Also, I know I say this every time Drive shows up on a poll .... Natalie, you should just watch this movie. Make it a "Nat's Pick". You clearly want to see it and your cinephile audience would greatly appreciate it.

Brian Jones

After reading the comments I think it's pretty much in agreement that you should watch all of these Nat.... Just put em' all on the list in the order of the vote and work through them whenever you have a free spot. :)

august 121

Ayo, whiplash lowkey a GREAT movie. Departed also a great movie.

Anonymous

You’ve put Whiplash and more so Drive on these lists so many times it’s super obvious that you’re dying to watch them! Haha just do it! People won’t be upset, they’re great movies.

JarHead0351

Jeremiah Johnson (1972) - what a great movie or Open Range another great movie

Anonymous

NCFOM!!!! Departed is about an hour longer than the hong kong movie its based off of (Infernal Affairs) and marginally better

Thomas Richter

No Country for Old Man is a masterpiece!

Anonymous

I think that ‘The Departed’ is best of these movies but if I could only pick one I’d probably like to see your reaction to ‘No Country’ the most.

Travis

No bad choices here

Anonymous

No Country For Old Men is the best of these but The Departed is probably a good second.

Anonymous

Hoping for NCFOM but The Departed is amazing too. Win. win.

Skizane

No Country For Old Men is not a movie. It's a profoundly meaningful life experience that left me contemplating it for a long time after I saw it. But I don't think you get everything there is to understand about it on the first watch; the themes about fate, chaos, random violence. I certainly didn't. It has multiple scenes in it that still give me a chill in my bones, and they're just dialogue scenes. Two people talking, nothing else happening. Chigurh and the old man at the gas station. The young widow and Chigurh in her room. The Sheriff and his uncle at his uncle's run down shack. Chigurh and the two kids on the street. The Sheriff and his wife in their kitchen. I don't know if Natalie would like this film. It's slow paced, with long silences just watching the characters do things, punctuated by bursts of graphic violence, and a lot of people hated how it ends when it came out. It's a tough, gritty film that demands you pay attention. I almost feel like it needs a primer or something to introduce the themes and concepts so everyone can understand the deep meaning behind everything that's happening, or perhaps its absence, but I don't want to post any spoilers. It's easily in my top 3 films and with a gun to my head may actually be #1.

matthew

if no country for old men has to lose please include it in a future poll its soooooo good

nexus

We need to put lucifer in a poll

Logan Kerlee

Until Drive is chosen it'll always have my vote.

Anonymous

Would love to see Interstellar

Anonymous

And she always put it back in polls because she definitely really wants to see it lol gotta just put it in a poll with 3 duds and it’ll win I guess haha

Ilsuk Yang

Hey Nat, I'd say it's pretty clear that you want to see Drive so I say just react to it, even though it's winning none of the polls. For me, I would pick No Country For Old Men as it's the only one I want to watch, although I'll watch whatever you watch anyway. The only one I've watched is The Departed, which will clearly win this poll. I tend to think that's it's overrated, although I'm probably not as vehemently opposed to it as a lot of the people commenting on this post. No Country For Old Men has always interested me, but, for some reason or another, I've never gotten to it

Anonymous

They’re all good movies, but not ones I feel particularly wanting to watch a reaction to. They don’t trigger nostalgia I guess. But that could be just me.

RandomAndysChannel

I choose Whiplash. It's an amazing film but The Departed is also great. That's gonna be a great reaction!

zak

One day we'll get to watch Drive..One day

Steve

I'm really hoping for No Country for Old Men. The gap was bigger before, so there's still a chance.

JarHead0351

really don't think that No Country for Old Men is a Natalie type of movie - I thought it was far out there and kind of cool, but that just my taste.

Anonymous

Holding faithfully out for No Country for Old Men...

Anonymous

Natalie if you're going to watch some crime movies like Departed, No Country for Old Men and Drive, you should watch Heat sometime soon! I recommended it before but it is a great film with Al Pacino and Robert de Niro. More of an action drama, but it is one of the best films ever made and you should definitely check it out sometime!

Jeff E

Sorry to keep asking, but are you doing "Hawkeye" soon? Idk who told you that you needed to watch "What If?" first, bit you DEF didn't need to. Plus it's only 6 episodes like the other live action MCU shows. I'm super excited to re-watch the show with you! I think you're going to LOVE it!

Philip

I think she’s watching all the Marvel stuff according to their release dates. But I believe she should definitely try to watch the first season of Daredevil before getting into Hawkeye though.

Anonymous

Definitely with crime thrillers she better be ready for the gore haha

James Tyrrell

Looking at anything on this list is going to elicit a lot "Oh, God! No, no! Why!!" *tears*

Anonymous

"Whiplash" and "No Country" would get my vote.

Anonymous

I've never been a fan of the Cohen brothers, but I know they are very popular with a lot of people.

G. T. Blackwell

Could we see Knives Out on an upcoming poll? Netflix just announced the sequel is releasing later this year.

John Rando

Any honestly, pick any one of them 👍👍

YodatheHobbit

Damnit, how is Drive always so low? It's so good. Lots of good movies in this poll though so I'm not too upset this time.

YodatheHobbit

It's funny, for me with The Departed it's such a good movie but the plot is so complex that I forget what it's about and how scenes go if I go 5+ years without rewatching it.

Myles Away

It's a pretty obscure art house film for most audiences. I vote for it every time but unless put up against other art house films it will never win.

Reese Stephens

in the next poll add a place beyond the pines its so good

Eddie Green

The main thing to remember in my experience is that - initials for spoiler reasons - DC is the opposite of D. That's the thing my dad always forgets - also he can't tell the difference. Ever since I saw it in cinemas, I've never been able to relax when a certain setting is involved in fiction.

Anonymous

These are all such solid picks. Can’t go wrong with any of them. Also, completely unrelated but you should consider checking out Twin Peaks for your next series after ATLA. It’s a mind fuck, plus there is a movie that goes with it

Anonymous

No Country for Old Men is my choice. And though The Departed is a good movie, the original is better imo.

Anonymous

Another movie I thought of for you to do is Knives Out! Great whodunit mystery and its freaking hilarious too!

clint brunke

Should do some old school movies . Field of dreams or sandlot .

Anonymous

I just watched The Mitchells vs The Machines on Netflix and it was an unexpected joy. I think you would love it and it's a great movie to react to.

Anonymous

I will always pick “Drive” even though it never wins a poll.

Anonymous

All great movies. Some suggestions for future polls: 1. Jojo Rabbit (dark comedy about WW2 germany, directed by Taika Waititi. I believe it was nominated for Best Picture, won best adapted screenplay, and Scarlett Johannson was nominated for Best Supporting actress) 2. The Impossible (historical drama about Thailand Tsunami of 2004. Stars Ewan McGregor, Naomi Watts (Best Actress nom), and Tom Holland

The Golgothan

Drive was an interesting movie but I don't think it would make a good reaction. The Departed was a masterpiece and No Country for Old Men was also very good (both would make great reactions.) I haven't seen Whiplash but it looks like it could make a fun reaction.

Anonymous

All four are very good movies. Would highly recommend watching all of them. However the Departed was based on a Hong Kong movie called Infernal Affairs. Would be a great video comparing Western and Eastern cinema and your take on the different styles
