"Marvel Zombies" was a slang term for the comics fans who just bought Marvel comics to the exclusion of anything else. When zombies got popular again fairly recently, Marvel comics did a miniseries about a zombie world. And then that was so successful that it kept spinning off into more and more books. It's mostly done in the comics, but it was pretty much inevitable there would be a zombie episode of What If.

Just to clarify, if the actor is credited, it's their voice! There's a few actors who don't voice their original characters (RDJ, Chris Evans, ScarJo, Brie Larson, some others) but most of them reprise their roles

Hi Nat - great reaction - I was laughing at things I missed the first time around, thanks to your reactions. Also - being a total "nerd" for a moment - the "cape" is The Cloak of Levitation (which enabled Strange (and now others) to fly/ levitate. ...but it IS a lifesaver - especially in this episode!

Just like with the other shows there will be post-credits stuff at the end. I don't remember which episode it starts on but I'm fairly certain there was at least one. As for "Will there be a season 2?" Probably, but I don't think they've made it official yet in terms of announcements.

The funny thing about showing zombie Thanos at the end kind of makes you wonder whether his plan has changed. Instead of snapping away half of life throughout the universe, he might just try to fill up the universe with more life just to eat them.

The whole Marvel Zombies thing started as a storyline for the Ultimate Fantastic Four, where Reed Richards was able to contact an alternate dimension version of himself, and agreed to meet. But it was a trap, as that world was filled with superhero zombies. The biggest twist of that particular arc was that there was a very, very powerful superhero who was protecting the last remnants of humanity: Magneto. It turned out that he abandoned his "homosuperior vs homosapien" philosophy pretty fast when it came down to the undead vs the living. He ultimately sacrificed himself to save everyone else. That arc was very popular and spawned a whole spin-off of Marvel Zombies as stand-alone comics. I'm not surprised it would be used in a What If...? series.

Umm... So just a suggestion. After you're done with What If..., can you watch Daredevil on Netflix? It might end up being pretty important. I'm not going to say anything else because I'm the type who tries his best to avoid spoiling anything for you because I love how raw all your reactions have been so far with every movie and show. The Daredevil Netflix show might end up being pretty important though.

These are fun, short episodes Nat! I hope you also watch the Hawkeye show as well at some point but I know it's super busy with the holiday season, etc. Keep it up!

IMO the MCU (and Disney's empty corporate husk of what used to be Marvel comics) made comic book movies/TV so generic and bland that to me they just meld together into one homogenous grey blob (with a few exceptions). IMO the best comic book movies are the R-rated ones that's Deadpool(2), Logan, Blade(2), the Punisher(Warzone) and The Suicide Squad. It's good to see you're finally going to start getting to the good stuff. That said I'd also like to see your reaction to some DC movies/TV as I also find them to be significantly better than about 50% of the MCU.

I find it kind of ironic in a way that there would probably be a universe out there where Ghost wins and stops them from saving Janet and unknowingly saves the world from the zombie apocalypse.
