Keep in mind, if Star Wars wins, I will have to watch the version that's currently on YouTube and could potentially get removed in the future. Looking forward to seeing what wins!

GOTTA be Christmas Vacation!!! Gotta be….

Danishprince

NEVER go near the Star Wars Holiday Special! Save your soul and your mind, trust me.. Do. Not. Watch. It. Ever!

Anonymous

What's wrong with Die Hard or Lethal Weapon?

Jon Camp

Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is wonderful. The rest are fine... even the Star Wars special has teetered into "so bad it's good" territory.... but overall, definitely spend Christmas with the Griswolds!

Joe Blankenship

Oh no, I want Muppet Christmas Carol, but I don't know if it can beat Christmas Vacation. Has Natalie seen the first Vacation? She should know that Christmas Vacation is a sequel.

Anonymous

Muppet Christmas Carol is a yearly watch for me on Christmas Eve. One of my favorites

Nya

I didn’t recognize the name of Christmas vacation but when I looked it up I knew she had to watch it. That or the muppets. Can’t go wrong😂

Patrick Egan

Muppet Christmas Carol is actually my favorite interpretation of the Dickens story. Michael Caine's performance as Scrooge is a masterpiece.

Aaron

You don’t have to for a reaction, but just for fun on your own time: if you like musicals, Anna and the Apocalypse is an underrated Christmas musical that not a lot of people talk about! Definitely would recommend! :]

Anonymous

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is a classic. My mom and I watch it every year.

Randee Carreno

Happy Saturday, Natalie! 😊 All of these are EXCELLENT holiday movies(the Star Wars Holiday Special is....interesting). However, "National Lampoons Christmas Vacation" got my vote for this one. Have a great rest of the day & weekend! 😊 Stay Golden! 💛

Anonymous

I really hope Christmas Vacation wins!

Ben

How about Scrooge (1970), It's A Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th street (the original), Better Off Dead?

Anonymous

It’s going to be Christmas Vacation for sure, but voted for not only my favorite holiday film, but dare say the best telling of the story…A Muppet Christmas Carol

Danny Miller

NEVER watch the Star Wars: Holiday Special. You’ll be as disappointed as the rest of us that have suffered through it already.

Darryl Low

Gremlins for some more festive horror. Just don't grab a drink or snack after midnight 😊

Anonymous

I almost voted for the Star Wars Holiday Special just so she watch the worst thing ever filmed.

Stephen Woods

Muppet Christmas Carol is so much better than anything else on this list, it has to win. The Star Wars Christmas Special is a twisted nightmare are should never have been made, there is a reason it can only be found on YouTube.

Michael G. Munz

Friends don't let friends watch The Star Wars Holiday Special!!

Anonymous

Also don’t do it don’t watch the Star Wars Christmas special, only exception is curiosity and as a good 😆

Miss Timi Fantastico

Muppet Christmas Carol is my favorite Christmas film. Seems like something you’d really like! If it doesn’t win I hope you place it on a poll again next month!

Danishprince

She reacted to Lethal Weapon last year for christmas :) - And didn't really enjoy it at all

Anonymous

This poll came up literally as I was watching A Muppets Christmas Carol.

Anonymous

The star wars Lego holiday special is way better then the original. BUT it has sequel trilogy stuff in it.

Anonymous

It may be a sequel, but besides the kids ages, there really isn't a reason to watch the Vacation movies in order imo

Kirby Glover

Klaus should win, the animation is so well done!

Emma B

National Lampoon’s was my mom’s favorite!! Thankful for her always letting me watching the funniest movies even when I young.

Kelvin

Star Wars holiday special better win :)

Alex B

Klaus is so good!

Steve J

SW holiday sounds like it would be funny to win, but would only be funny for a few minutes, then we would all hate ourselves...

Garrett Wolf

Muppet Christmas Carol is the best!

Nicholas Sulikowski

I voted for The Star Wars Holiday Special, because I am an evil evil man. (RiffTrax once tried to make it funny. It was still too much for them. lol)

Anonymous

If the poll was called "Which movie should I watch that will give me an aneurysm", then the SW Holiday Special would be the right answer.

Fuzzy Dunlop

Uncle Eddie for the win!

Tony Johnson

Have you seen Vacation already?

Sam Kimpton

The Star Wars Holiday Special is really, really hard to sit through. It's a slow-moving mass of cringe. There's a Rifftrax version on YouTube that's much more palpable, but still difficult to watch. Maybe save it for a Try Not to Cringe video. :)

Anonymous

No one does “going blissfully nuts” like Chevy Chase

It Hurt A Lot

Obi-Wan sacrificed himself to Vader because he foresaw the Christmas special and that was the only way not to star in it

Cory Silver

Christmas Vacation is the third film, after Vacation and European Vacation. It's pretty stand alone though, but if you like it there's more. There's a movie called Krampus you should add to the list. It's one of my favorite recent holiday movies. Sad Gremlins isn't ding better. Although I guess it is in second place. And there's always the Three Amigos if you like Chevy Chase. I'm not even sure what Klaus is off the top of my head.

Dante

Christmas Vacation was my favorite Christmas movie as a kid. Haven’t seen it in years would be amazing to re-watch it with you Nat!

Nicholas Sulikowski

The only thing I would worry about with the Holiday Special falling off YouTube would be if the person that uploaded took it down for some personal reason. Or maybe their account was shut down for unrelated reasons. As far as Lucasfilm/Disney goes, I have the feeling that although they have the power to take such videos down, they don't want to. See, George Lucas famously hates and has disowned the special ever since it first aired. He only contributed to the basic premise/vague outline about Life Day and getting Chewie home to his family. Everything else was Fox variety show writers. And certainly George would be happy if it was taken down. But the problem is, if Lucasfilm/Disney takes it down, then it just increases interest in the thing itself. Now you've got people wanting to see an official release of it, because they can't see it on YouTube or elsewhere. Now Lucasfilm/Disney have to actually release it on Disney+ and devote bandwidth to something truly awful. To do otherwise while not allowing it on YouTube or other sites would just be bad publicity for no reason. I think they'd rather just let YouTube deal with it. And they're happy to show the world the Boba Fett cartoon that was in it, listed on Disney+ as The Story of the Faithful Wookiee. But that's it.

Andy Jordan

Christmas Vacation, no question, although Muppet Christmas Carol is a close second, and surprisingly, one of the more faithful adaptations. My family and I watch Planes, Trains & Automobiles and Christmas Vacation every year, both John Hughes projects, so it fits, since you did Home Alone and PT&A last year, and Hughes wrote both of those, as well.

ProgressiveRoxx

I sense a great disturbance in the Force.... As if millions of fans decided to watch the Holiday Special thinking "It can't be that bad can it?" only to cry out in terror "Oh no! It is that bad!!".

Cory Stanish

Man back in the day you had to go to a con and find the guy selling all the bootlegs to get a copy of the holiday special.

Jomero

This. So, so much this. I know it's not great to spoil anything but..... There is a whole 5 minute scene where a family of wookiees are talking to each other. And there are no subtitles. Just 5 whole minutes of Chewbacca noises.

Anonymous

Muppet Christmas Carol is the actual best Christmas movie. And Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent) does a six minute one man version of it that’s absolutely hilarious. So pick that; Roy would want you to!

Bryce

Nat, if you ever watch the Star Wars Holiday Special, make sure you have LOTS of alcohol. It's probably the only way you will make it through it sanely.

Cifer

If the Star Wars Holiday Special wins Nat needs to reserve a room at the hospital for when her eyes start bleeding with agony.

Nicholas Sulikowski

I'm imagining the viewing scene in A Clockwork Orange, followed by Natalie dead faced in an asylum like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. After watching the Holiday Special. Just waiting for Chief to do his thing.

Nicholas Sulikowski

Die Hard is also another great Christmas movie. With great performances from Bruce Willis, Reginald VelJohnson, and Alan Rickman.

Anonymous

There is no Star Wars Christmas Special worth seeing. Nor the original one neither the recent Lego one. No matter how much of a die hard fan you are, that thing is tough to watch.

Rick Runge

Christmas vacation is the Christmas movie I grew up with. I was born in 86, and I believe the movie came out in 89. Its the first Christmas movie I remember, and the one I looked forward to most each year. That song at the beginning of the movie is so catchy. Its needs to be on more Christmas playlists

Tay Schumaker

Won’t win it seems like. But muppet Christmas carol is my favorite Christmas movie

Eric Janssen

How many versions of Christmas Carol (ie. Sim, Scott & Magoo) have you seen?

Kevin Bartelen

I wouldn't touch the Star Wars Holiday Special unless you're looking to torcher yourself. It's so bad George Lucas has gone out of his way to destroy as many copies as possible.

Josh Baker

If she watches it aware of the fact that it’s terrible, it would be a hilarious reaction to see her make fun of the whole thing

Texas Anla'Shok

Even if the Star Wars special wins, where would she find it? I don't think any official platforms even carry it.

Simon Bauer

Seriously guys … why is that in first place 😂

This_Jedi_crafts

I think Disney+ is currently running it. I think I recently heard that on a YouTube Star Wars vlog.

Florence Kosek

Really?! I would've thought Die Hard would've been on this list 😝

Anonymous

None of the above

David Crabtree

These are all great picks for various reasons, but selfishly I must go with National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, my all-time favorite Christmas film! Muppet Christmas Carol is also a delight!

Logan Kerlee

It's a real bummer that Star Wars isn't a safe option. I'd love to see you react to that one. I'm voting for something else only because of that.

Dale Josephson

But, but.... Where is Die Hard?

Anonymous

Christmas Vacation should win, but you’ll find it even more fun if you watch the original NL Vacation first. Just for added context.

Anonymous

I think the star wars holiday special is the pinacle of poor decision making in movies. So I voted for it. The fact that lucas films pretends it doesn't exist says it all.

Al Baughman

I guess you've already seen the best christmas movie of all time, Die Hard

Michael Patrick

Even if Muppets doesn’t win, you should still watch it, it’s such a good movie

Guy-on-Couch

What about Scrooged? that's one of the best Christmas movies ever!!!!

Tay Schumaker

Still upset Feliz Natvidad didn’t catch in as the name of this

Anonymous

If you haven't seen it, then Gremlins. You will love Gizmo.

Seymor Butz

WTF the classics

John

Christmas Vacation is a masterpiece.

Scott Lindsey

It's not a holiday movie but look into Arcane on netflix. It's only 9 episodes but it's sooooo good.

Sean

Cruelty to subject anyone to that movie.

Travis Starnes

Not sure if you've watched the first vacation, but it will make the leather ones much better. It's great, but I voted for something else because watching it first would be a less satisfying experience maybe.

Joe Blankenship

Do these top 3 this month. Muppets Christmas Carol, Christmas Vacation, Gremlins. And It's a Wonderful Life. That'd be a solid month of excellent Christmas movies.

Tony Hart

Long Kiss Goodnight or Fatman

John Rando

Star Wars holiday special lol

Jomero

I want Muppet Christmas Carol to win. But I don't think it will. Michael Caine does one of my all-time favorite portrayals of Ebenezer Scrooge.

Eric Bogerd

I have to agree with Jomero, it's a very large shame that Muppet's Christmas Carol won't win this poll. I get democracy, but you'll be missing out on one of the best holiday movies of all time with truly top notch original music. Michael Caine really is in a tier above most other actors playing Scrooge.

Anonymous

The holiday special? Seriously? I watched that back in the day. I was a kid then, didn't understand it then, still don't.

JediLounger

Personally I think you should watch the top 3. Christmas Vacation, Muppets and Gremlins all have their place in any Christmas catalog worth its salt. And since we are rapidly running out of TV, Squid Game has one more episode, Ted Lasso has four, why not? Plus if you watch them soon they would land on YouTube right around Christmas.

Anonymous

How is Gremlins not winning?

Anonymous

Yeah - a lot of people don't know it's a sequel. Double feature anyone?

Ronny Boss

I'm rooting for Christmas Vacation. Brings back so many memories from my childhood. Gremlins does as well, but I personally enjoy the Griswolds more 😀

Ronny Boss

I dunno if you've see it yet but Scrooged is a really good Bill Murray Christmas movie

Eric Janssen

Didn’t she watch it last year? Everyone else did—It was Gremlins, Die Hard, It’s a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story and Elf, all across the board.

Sarlacc1979

The Muppet Christmas Carol is one of the best Christmas movies and my favorite adaptation of the story. Even if it's not for the channel I highly recommend you watch it.

Anonymous

When I first met you, you were all like "Oh phooey, I burned the darn muffins...."

Anonymous

It’ll probably never happen, but I’d love you to react to Emmet Otter’s Jugband Christmas, my favorite Christmas special, which to me me stands far above all the others.

Anonymous

I worked with a Story Artist who animated on "Klaus" so I'm throwing in a vote for my mate, but can't go wrong with "Muppets Christmas Carol". It's a pretty perfect film.

VidKris

Jimm Carry’s A Christmas Carol is my favourite version!

VidKris

No! Yh I guess the animation is a lit dated now, but the voice acting and everything else the style and what they did and some of the ways they went about it! Like when they shrink him down and every time I watch any version (apart from the muppets one I really don’t like the muppets one) when they focus on the story of tiny Tim and when Scrooge finally realise what he’s doing it always gets me! Especially when we see dead tiny Tim! Instant! 😢💔

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

Haven't seen Klaus, all the rest are great choices but I voted for Natalie Lampoons Christmas Vacation, even if she hasn't seen the other Vacation movies, they're kind of like the Cornetto Trilogy anyway. I would love to see a reaction to the Star Wars Christmas Special but to really appreciate that one you either have to be the most hard core Star Wars nerd or completely stoned, or both 😆

The Golgothan

The Star Wars Holiday Special is so bad that even as a hardcore Star Wars fan, you really need to be so stoned you can't remember your own name to get any level of enjoyment from that shitshow. That said, I'm making a specific suggestion for future holiday seasons. American Dad isn't the greatest show by any metric but their Christmas specials are 100% golden. I suggest you watch the first few episodes of the show (just to get an idea for the characters) and then binge all the Christmas specials over a single holiday season.

Kevin Mowery

My favorite Xmas movie other than A Christmas Story, is the British television adaptation of Sir Terry Pratchett's novel The Hogfather. Unfortunately, it's three hours long and only streaming on IMDB TV with ads, so syncing it would be a nightmare.

Anonymous

I just think you could use some Muppets in your life. Maybe "The Muppet Show Stars of Star Wars"

Adam Stanley

Umm you seem to be missing die hard 😀 😜

Anonymous

Star Wars should NOT win this or any poll... as it is horrible beyond belief... which is exactly why you should watch it anyways, preferably while imbibing copious amounts of... whatever you want... ;)

Jerick E

Another Dreamworks production... Rise of the Guardians

Anonymous

not a holiday movie but maybe react to a sports movie like miracle or coach carter

Anonymous

Klaus is one I think you should just watch anyway. It’s a beautiful Christmas movie.

Delford Chaffin

You need to watch a small holiday movie that came out a couple years called "The Feast of the Seven Fishes"... a lovely holiday movie that everyone should see. 😊

Nicholas Sulikowski

You should watch The Star Wars Holiday Special, just so you can say "I watched The Star Wars Holiday Special". It's less about enjoyment, and more about a kind of badge of honor. A nerdy kind of shared experience. If there existed Nerd/Geek Scouts, there'd be a Holiday Special Badge, represented by an image of Bea Arthur. (She's in it.)
