Happy Monday, Natalie! 😊 I'm getting this downloaded right now so that I can watch it later tonight. Looking forward to watching this reaction this evening. Have a great day today! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Happy Monday Nat. Hope you had a fine weekend. You can't call Chairlize "cheap". She's not that kind of girl 😂 More fun with Ted today, and Roy using a lesson learned on the pitch to save his relationship with Keeley. Beautifully done. At the end there, I couldn't tell if you like Nate ha ha Thanks for fun Ted reaction today Nat, and have to say I really love your ltd. edition holiday merch. The design of Koda under the tree is so cute 💛

I’m conflicted with your stance on Nate. It sounds so callous to say “he can go cause I don’t find him that funny”. It’s easy to hate on him for the jerk he is becoming. He didn’t start that way. Do we give up on him? Do we try to help?

Hoping the next series will be Lucifer

Rime Pendragon

Yes, Natalie, Nate is supposed to make you angry :-)

I know you have infinite TV shows right now, but I hope at some point you'll check out Arcane! Absolutely the best show of the year in my opinion. Love the reactions to Ted Lasso

Commenting on your reaction to Nate at the end, isn't that going against the entire theme of the show? Did you write off Rebecca during her evil phase or Jamie during his douchebaggery? Would you be ok if Ted gave up on Nate?

db

It's commendable that this show can make you hate someone more than Rupert.

Essero Eson

Hmmmm. Where are Roy's Yoga Moms? Wasn't one of the issues with them getting together is that Roy likes to have time by himself too?

Nate's story has two main purposes in my mind. The first is that he is morally reprehensible and will, eventually, have to deal with that. Just like with other characters, the show is asking us to find the good or relatable in a character that is saying some really bad things. In real life, it is sometimes (or most of the time) better to ignore or leave these people. However, here they will ask the audience to find empathy, because this is ultimately the best response even if the easier one is to simply want him to leave. The second purpose is much more simple, which is to show the deeply negative effect that social media can have on our emotions and thought processes.

Agreed Arcane is a must watch, just concerned it's in a style that Natalie may not be fond of based on her comments during the Into the Spider-Verse reaction. I'd also say the show demands quite a lot of attention to be fully appreciated so I don't know if doing a reaction may really detract from it.

Let's watch the Paul Rudd and Will Ferrell show next. Won't take long if we go back to movies on Monday and Friday, and 3 episodes during the week.

Al Baughman

yep, right there with ya on Nate

It's okay to hate Nate. You're supposed to hate Nate.

Eddie

Natalie's "They don't matter they're people online. No offense guys." XD Reminded me of: "Ted fucking sucks! No offense Ted."

Eddie

I agree with Natalie, fuck Nate. He has a lot of growing up to do. He finds the weak people and goes after them. Yes, that's probably what happened to him while growing up but he should have been able to learn from that.

It Hurt A Lot

I like what they did with Nate's character. This show in some ways is about a person's journey from one state of mind to another, whether good or bad. A good example was Ted's story about crying because as a kid he was scared of the dog to crying because he grew to love the dog. We have seen good changes in Rebecca and Jamie but it's being contrasted with a change for the worse with Nate.

Ernest

Nate’s story is an important one, you could almost see it as a Rebecca origin story. Rebecca wasn’t originally a bad person, she was put through a terrible scenario and came out a vindictive and manipulative villain. She took all last season with constant pleading from multiple places to finally become the character Nat loves today. Nate has gone through a similar character arc, he was the victim in all facets of his life and never seen for who he is until Ted came. He motivated him, trusted him and gave him a position of power in the organization. The through line being for this season he never got to deal with all the baggage he’d been carrying from all of that, that’s why none of the achievements are bringing him happiness. He’s not happy within himself.

I agree with most of the comments here. Giving depth to what was a side character and showing the eventual growth is a good message to put out there. You're supposed to hate Nate here, so if you see those behaviors in real life then maybe they're like Nate. No one love every part of their growth. Sometime you do things you wish you can take back when you're grown, but that's what it takes sometime.

I was in the Marines for four years and Nate just reminds me of the kids who got bullied through high school and joined the Marines thinking it will finally make them cool. Then as soon as they pick up rank they go treat everyone below them like shit and are just miserable to be around. Nates character is the same exact vibe to me.
