Jamie and Roy's whole scene together has got to be my favorite from the show. Phil Dunster and his Mancunian accent are golden.

Happy Ted Tuesday Nat just started watching and enjoying it so much already seeing how much this makes you smile is a wonderful thing 🙂 nice surprise seeing Ian Wright Wright Wright making a guest appearance loving these little cameos 😀 the characters are, so good in this show man so good 🙂 OK bk to it 💛

Jeff K

Fun fact: Phil Dunster (Jamie) actually made that 45 yard shot on the first try when they were filming.

Darryl Low

Love your thumbnail today Nat 😄 That final moment was certainly a bummer, but hopefully we will find out what Ted's got going on next time. A lot of fun moments in this episode, especially between Roy and Jamie, and yes nothing good can come from bantr 😊 Teams have strips for home and away games, and also a training strip too, mainly so they can sell them to the fans to get revenue for the club. Thanks for another great week of Ted videos Nat. It's so much fun watching this show with you and I'm looking forward to the second half of the season 💛

That was my favorite bit of trivia from the behind the scenes clips on YouTube. I love the fact that they prioritized people who could actually play; who also had acting ability. They really wrung the best out of both sides.

Hi Nat and thanks for the reaction! 😄 Great episode today, with a funny reveal with Sam and Rebecca hahaha, and of course the emotional side is back haha Luca/Lucas (Lukas, etc) is a popular name in all Europe, it's not a specific Italian name even if it's really common in the Italian community. I hope you're fine, take care, be safe and stay golden! 💛

Happy Tuesday, Natalie! 😊 I'm downloading this right now to watch later tonight. Looking forward to watching the reaction this evening, and getting started on the 2nd half of the season next week. Have a great day today! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

The orange jerseys are the away uniforms. The goalie always wears the opposite jersey from the rest of the team.

Watching this whilst also watching the Wales v Belgium game and the Netherlands v Norway game is gonna be a fun experience

I'm not sure how far ahead you are in watching but there are 12 episodes this season instead of 10.

Nat, I love your new banner with little cartoon you sliding down the film, it's adorable. Also, was I the only one who thought that Ted and Rebecca were texting each other on Bantr with neither of them having any idea who was on the other end? There was even a deliberate misdirection to that effect in this episode, where we see Rebecca texting her anonymous guy then it cuts directly to Ted fiddling with his phone as he's walking down the hallway. I think they were toying with us a bit there. I'm glad it didn't turn out to be Ted, because the relationship between Ted and Rebecca just doesn't feel like it could go in a romantic direction.

Kristine Harbek

They were definitely doing a misdirect with that cut, which is funnily enough why I DIDN'T think she would be texting Ted, because it would be too obvious. It's funny though, in season 1 especially, you see a LOT of tiny little moments with Sam and Rebecca, things you wouldn't even consider. (Him jumping to his feet to take her jacket at karaoke, for example.) But I managed to guess that it was Sam already from episode 2x2, because Hannah said something in an interview about foreshadowing in season 1 with Jason telling her to interact with specific people certain ways, and Hannah calling him a "weird creepy wizard" for foreshadowing it like that, haha. And then I rewatched season 1, and noticed all these Sam moments. It's AMAZING how much forethought they put into this stuff. Also I disagree that Ted/Rebecca can't go romantic, but I DO think it's something that would take more development and have to be done in a thoughtful good way. But I actually trust this show to make character arcs that make sense and are fulfilling, so I think I'll be happy no matter what happens as long as they do it well.

Kristine Harbek

The reason they zoomed in on Nate after the goal, was because Nate went to celebrate with Ted but then Ted pushed him aside to go congratulate Roy on the good call.

Jordan Freemyer

I'd be remiss if I didn't contribute this to the discussion of the episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HewRGdDN9Fg Also a fun fact is that Brett Goldstein, who wrote this episode, is a Tottenham fan in real life, so it must have been an interesting time writing this for him.

Tiger Chu

Their orange kit is their away kit and Dancing Shoes by The Arctic Monkeys is an absolute banger

Nat, thanks so much for reacting to this show! It doesn’t get enough love. At the beginning of the episode, when you asked about the guy with a weird laugh, that is a call back to a previous episode when Higgins and Ted both mention “Laughing Liam” and they both imitate that laugh. Ted actually calls Liam by name when he walks in to the facility here so we know that it is laughing Liam. Not sure if you picked up on it, but Higgins has been doing that nervous gag all show. He did it a lot at the beginning of season one when Rebecca is making him do things he doesn’t want to do but it is a bit more pronounced in this episode. I think it shows his character growth that he stops doing as he gets more confident in the first season, but it sneaks up on him here. In the last reaction you mentioned that the youtube clips don’t do as well; I have to think that must be due to the fact that Apple TV just doesn’t have a lot of subscribers and a lot of people still haven’t seen the show and can’t access it. It will be interesting to see what will happen to those numbers if Apple TV continues to grow. Everyone I know that has watched the show has loved it, it seems to really get people invested. Great job reacting and buckle up, the last part of this season (with the exception of S2 E9 which just seems like an odd filler episode) is, in my opinion, Ted Lasso at it’s best. Stay golden!

Mr. Sudeikis does such a magnificent portrayal of Ted Lasso that it is hard for me to remember that he has a wonderful career leading up to this show. Does anyone feel the same way? For me I am gonna watch some old SNL. He does have some supporting roles too. Like, I was watching "Drinking Buddies" (2013, Olivia Wilde, Anna Kendrick, Jake Johnson, and Joe Swanberg) and said, "Wait is that Ted Lasso as the boss? Where is his accent?" Weird.

My guess is that by the end of this season they will have won their way back into the premier league. However i think characters and/or relationships may be at their lowest points. Feels possible, juxtaposed with the last season of them losing but finding a new sense of belief in themselves. And then bring it home with a triumphant finish in season 3 with them winning the whole Premier League (i think they have confirmed it will only be 3 seasons)

Im sad to say i think its all going to go to his head, more than it has already.

Kristine Harbek

And ALSO, the reporter guy at the very beginning is NOT a Tottenham fan, so Brett took extreme delight in making him say that Tottenham was amazing, hahaha.

After season 1 of Ted Lasso, I went on a Jason binge and dug up absolutely everything. After watching all of it, my favourites have to be "Colossal" (2016, Anne Hathaway, drama and technically a kaiju movie but focusing on the emotional journey of the characters, not action), "Sleeping With Other People" (2015, Alison Brie, extremely funny and well-written romantic comedy), and "Kodachrome" (2017, Ed Harris, emotional drama about a man reconnecting with his dying father). All of those Jason stars in. (None of which he has a mustache or southern accent.) There are more that I loved and would recommend, but if I were to pick out three, those would be it. :)
