Theres no garuantee the truck would notice the detective following them. Following vehicles without being noticed is probably part of police training for when they track criminals

I binge watched all 9 episodes when the show first aired but I'm taking this opportunity to rewatch And i gotta say there's a tonne of stuff i missed the first time around

Theres a theory that the game at the start decides whether you become a player or a guard You choose a blue square or a red square. The main character chose the blue square and joined the games What would have happened if he'd picked the red square? Red like the uniform the guards wear

I really enjoy the contrast between your reactions to Ted Lasso and this series. I think you should go with that dynamic, one show more relaxed and one full of tension. I'm not exactly sure on this, but maybe they didn't notice they were being followed at the beginning because multiple vans go to that location so they may have thought Jun-Ho was just another one of their vans. Sure, the headlights would be different but he was following just far enough away that you wouldn't really be able to tell, especially if you weren't looking for it. It's not like they'd have very good visibility with those masks and hoods on either.

Don't think you realised but the zoom in on the pocket was because the button was broken and they use that as the identifying feature for the detective.

I love it when there's a post-show discussion segment :) wish we could have that each episode even for cpl minutes. I know you do it based on youtube partition but still :) anywayssss... stay golden :)

Too wild! I was trying to avoid any/all spoilers on social media but came across this food vlog on YouTube - really seems like a great chef and does amazing recipes - he had one posted recently - "The cute cookies from Squid Game." NOW that I have seen them - I'm just laughing - such a tense episode in a perverse "game" and then a YouTuber is sharing his recipe?! Too funny/ weird/ ironic! They looked a bit like large fortune cookies so they are probably super yummy!

Also - maybe the character who knew what the nature of the game was, didn't want to let them in on it in case the people supervising didn't get suspicious about "teams" being created? Who knows - I just love all the twists and intrigue!

Thanks for trying to pronounce Korean names. It's not the easiest language to remember names (coming from a Korean speaker). The North Korean girl's name Sae Byeok is pronounced "sehh byuck" with a soft S and it means dawn, early morning, daybreak.

Really enjoyed watching with you Nat! This show's definitely an edge of your seat type of show - that won't be changing! Very happy that you're sticking with it and working your way through the season. :) Also, like some of the others - I'm happily subbed on here because I get both a heavy/dark show like this and the super happy.positive show Ted Lasso all at the same time. Gotta keep a balance! <3

Ohh, also, question for ya! Is there any chance that you'll watch Dexter on here? I'm a HUGE fan of the series and with the latest season being out "Dexter: New Blood" I figured I'd ask about it. :) Hope to hear/read some type of response to my question. It's definitely my dark series of choice. It's not all dark though, if you haven't watched it. It has PLENTY of dark humor in it (that's actually just funny). Think about it! :)

Since "Shang Chi" doesn't drop for free on D+ until this Fri. Nov. 12, I'm assuming Nat won't get to it until later in the month sometime. But I loved it SO much I can summon the patience to wait for her reaction. (I think.) 😉🤓
