Happy Tuesday, Natalie! 😊 I'm downloading this right now so that I can watch it later tonight. Looking forward to watching this episode reaction this evening. Have a great day today! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Happy Taco Tuesday!!

Rime Pendragon

Ehm, that's how prepared Brussels sprouts are supposed to look ?

That is the same “ussie” kid, and the dentist is his real life mom! She’s also in my favorite of the Doctor Who Christmas specials so I was so excited to see her pop up here.

(in the gala episode of season one, Keeley gives Rebecca a random speech about how the little clitoris things in olives freak her out (they’re actually pimentos). Cute continuity to have her removing them :) )

Didn't expect to be getting festive with you and Ted today Nat ha ha Great thumbnail today 😊 That was a lot of fun and put me in the holiday spirit. Funnily enough, I have been invited to a Christmas night out at the end of this week, by the guy I used to work for. Should be fun. What is it with you watching the ends of movies and shows, before you've seen the rest of it Nat?? First GOT, now It's a Wonderful Life 😂😂 Thanks for another really fun Ted reaction today Nat 💛

Calo Grsf

Hi and thanks Nat! It was an adorable reaction today, a little bit too early for a Christmas thing, but it was fun haha, I loved the scene where everyone is in Higgin's home, it reminds me of the times when we gathered at my grandmother's house, so many people we had to play a musical chair to find a place hahaha (peace to her soul 🙏). I can't wait to discover your futur reactions for the Golden Christmas Season 2! haha I hope you're fine, take care, be safe and stay golden! 💛

I have a feeling Natalie didn't get the Love Actually reference. If that is the case, she definitely needs to watch that one.

For Season 2 Apple requested they do two episodes more than last season, so they had to come up with two that weren't really planned. This episode is one of them and there is another one you will surely recognize as the other additional.

Anonymous

Hey Natalie, You should absolutely watch all of It's A Wonderful Life--it's fantastic!!!

Jeff K

What happened with this being a Christmas episode is that they wrote out a 10 episode season in full. Then, the show blew up and Apple wanted to expand it to 12 episodes, so they had to come up with two more stories they could squeeze in that wouldn't impact the rest of what they had written. Hence, this and another episode (which you'll be able to figure out which one it is pretty easily) later this season.

Nat, you know you have to watch It's A Wonderful life this year now right?

Andy Crawley

If you watch any Richard Curtis film, it should absolutely be About Time.

Fomorach

Ahh, good taste in Whisky too, yes that should be a bottle of Balvenie

Anonymous

"I'll be home for Christmas" was written in 1943 for the soldiers overseas during the war. So yeah, it's pretty freaking sad.

Good eye, Natalie, on The Balvenie Doublewood! It's my go-to Scotch. Also, there's actually a lot of surfing in the UK ... some coastal areas have pretty major waves!

FWIW, seeing the ending of It's a Wonderful Life doesn't ruin it. I look forward to you watching it next month.

I caved and watched the entire season yesterday, better than the first!

They actually only originally made 10 episodes for season 2, but Apple requested an extra 2. So this episode is one of 2 that they filmed later and was kind of out of place on the timeline.

Joe Blankenship

Yeah. You totally gotta do "It's a Wonderful LIfe" this year. It's such a good movie. I watched it for the first time a few years ago. And even though I knew about it from pop culture references and stuff, it was even better than I thought it'd be.

Anonymous

I think this one may have been too saccharine for me, and I love sappy stuff.

Kristine Harbek

A reference I haven't seen anyone explain, Ted about Rebecca giving so much money to the buskers: "That's what I get for taking a tinkle next to John Holmes." John Holmes was a porn star famous for having a gigantic penis. Which... is NOT a reference I would expect Ted to make!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc68kYdUH-k this is Hannah Waddingham practicing that song and she is honestly INCREDIBLE. I love the end where the other guy throws his hands up like "this isnt even fair"

I think Natalie was asking how Rebecca had the letter to Santa. You can adopt letters to Santa in the US by participating in USPS Operation Santa. They redact personal information in the letter and the post office delivers the presents to keep people safe and protect their privacy. Sometimes programs for underprivileged families will partner with a business or church to provide food, presents, and clothes to needy children. Depending on the program, they may have the kids write letters to Santa and the donating people may deliver the items themselves. Since Rebecca is the owner of a professional sports team, I just assume that she has access to the letter via her team partnering with a charity.

Not sure if its been mentioned yet but Roy is based a real life player turned pundit. Some clips of him https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Y5qtbLY8EQ&t Also the show and other pundits on TV with roy are real, famous for this clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McdjBaChdBA

Dooly

It would end up on a poll and lose for being ‘too old’.

Eric

I think season 2 started pretty slowly. I'm not a big fan of the first few episodes; they're probably important in terms of setting up the rest of the season - introducing the therapist, getting Jamie back on the team, having him win the team over - but I just feel like it's kinda treading water. I think the season really hits its stride episode 5. So... really looking forward to that.

Logan Kerlee

lmao, right! xD Had me laughing when I first watched the episode. hahaha

Ginge Tomassi

Well I guess we can add the very problematic Love Actually to the ever-growing list of films Natalie hasn't seen.

Anonymous

Brilliant! At 5:25 you can see him going back and forth with Jamie Carragher, whom Roy complained about after getting a "welcome to the show" bouquet. "We fucking despised each other when we played, now he's sending me flowers. How the fuck does he know I love white orchids?"

Anonymous

This Christmas episode is my fave episode.

Eddie

Sam's face when Higgins's son cussed in front of him XD He thought he was gonna witness a beating. I'm 35 and to this day I still never cussed in front of my parents.
