This is gonna be fun. Lol.

Nick of Time

Which version of “It” and “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” would you be watching?

Sarah P

I’m too scared to watch any of these — peace out, see y’all in the next thing!

Andy Crawley

Regardless I f what wins, you should definitely check out It Follows, in your own time if need be. The tension it builds is phenomenal.

Ben Wheeler

If you need a lighthearted palate cleanser, the Muppets Haunted Mansion special dropped on Disney+ yesterday 😁

Joe Blankenship

Fingers crossed for It Follows. Anything but "It", really. The original one and the new one are very forgettable to me.

Cory Silver

Did people just vote for "it" because it's kind of a four for the price of one thing? I think "It Follows" is the most lighthearted of the four, while Chainsaw has stuff that sticks with you. "It" is the new hotness, and I guess the remakes were good enough. The Conjuring - I think the Insidious movies are a lot better. I was sort of surprised Chainsaw wasn't winning. I voted for "It Follows" because I think it's the most "your style" of the bunch.

Danishprince

Very interested in knowing which versions of these movies you have in mind. Fx. I wouldn't go with IT if it's the old version

Anonymous

Are we talking old It or new It? 😆 As much as the original is a classic, the new one is worth it for Bill Skarsgaard's performance alone. 🤡

Śéáń

Agreed. IT is one of my favourite all time horror creatures but I'm starting to think it'll never be adapted to film properly. It Follows on the other hand is a great choice for a reaction video

Darryl Low

I think Nat said IT is likely to be the new movie. 4 very different movies, 4 different intensities but all frightening in their own way 👻 I'd like to suggest Salem's Lot or Poltergeist for future polls. Both classics of the genre.

Anonymous

All solid choices…Texas is a classic obviously, but not sure it holds up…stay away from the remakes imo. It also no to the miniseries version, It Follows is very good borderline great but they didn’t go all the way with it again just my opinion. I’m probably going to go The Conjuring reaction wise might be the most fun 😆

Anonymous

I'm glad TCM isn't winning. I've been watching the Hill House reactions and I think TCM would genuinely be too much for Nat.

Anonymous

None of the above! Watch Crimson Peak- so you can be scared but- Tom Hiddleston🖤

Anakin Starkiller

It is long about 5 hours if your going to watch all of it.

Music TheMadness

So strange "It" was voted highly. Such an interesting piece, but in terms of horror, the pace/tempo can make the experience lackluster. It Follows is such a great work, never ending tension and palpable themes. Personally, The Conjuring will always go down in my book as one of my favorites of all time. Texas Chainsaw is a classic, though it's level of horror can very on how desensitized you are to gore.

Aaron Chandler

You will not have any fun with any of these. We're going to have a blast watching, but you will hate life.

Anonymous

Texas Chainsaw Massacre seems like kind of the odd one out here! Though it's a good movie in a historical sense, as it became a defining movie for a horror genre. I like both versions of IT but since I grew up wth the Tim Curry version I prefer that, even if it's a bit sillier. It Follows was a little one-note for me. I think that of all the movies The Conjuring is probably the best slow burn combined with a few scares supernatural horror that Natalie wil absolutely, positively, HATE - while enjoying it too!

Joe Blankenship

Chainsaw definitely holds up. I watched it for the first time a couple years ago.

Cody Steele

Ah the Conjuring, the last theatrical release I watched in theaters that scared me badly. Have fun! I will be in your corner!

Anonymous

The conjuring is a classic and still holds up and if it doesn't win I hope she still hits it up.

Byron

I wholeheartedly concur… but make sure it is the ORIGINAL Poltergeist…. It has humor and heart as well as scares, and is a Spielberg masterpiece. It was and is my favorite scary movie alongside Alien.

This_Jedi_crafts

It think the remake of "IT" will sufficiently creep Nat out (and provide scares) without being too much to handle for "NATMARE" season!

This_Jedi_crafts

Texas Chainsaw....whatever the version - plenty of violence and gore - thrilling enough but I think it might be too much for Nat.....especially if she gets nightmares easily.

LightsCameraJake

If you are going to watch IT, I think the new version of the movie is better executed, the old one is great for that nalstragic audience of course, but I've seen a lot of people who recommend the new version to people who havnt seen IT before.

Paul Gibbons

Big problem with IT is that Nat then has to watch 2 movies because it's a 2 parter not a sequel and besides I voted It follows and we're having that same problem again with the popular new ones winning as the crowd here seems to be on the younger side.

codenamewitch xx

Hopefully if it is IT you would do the new version with 2 parts.. the original is great in its own right but I think the new adaptation would be better suited for you!!

Michael G. Munz

Even if Texas Chainsaw Massacre wins, please don't watch it. It's psychologically brutal and will be...not a fun experience for you.

Matthew

The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre is now almost a horror rite of passage.

Anonymous

These are all great. This was tough to pick. Also, if you really want an intense movie, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. God that movie made me squirm!

Jimmie V

TCM is not only amazing in general, but the production design and sound design were ground-breaking not to mention it started an entire genre.

Alan Kobb

If it was up to me I'd vote for An American Werewolf in London, but it's never on the polls....

Justin Credible

God, "It" is so dumb. The original and remake.

Misty Crom

You know, the 1999 perenial classic, The Mummy, staring Brendan Frasier and Rachel Weiss can very much be considered a horror movie.

Christopher Boscarino

I'm going to vote for IT because (like Hill House), it's more terror than horror. Nat is at her best when she knows something's coming but it hasn't happened yet. Shock-Gore movies like TCM are more horror and just a cheap way to scare the audience. I vote for better anticipated scares through good writing.

Randee Carreno

Happy Saturday, Natalie! 😊 "IT" definitely got my vote! 🎈 Have a great weekend! 😊 Stay Golden! 💛

David

I still don't understand how the IT remake became so popular. The monster is literally "Boogity boogity boo!" throughout the whole film. Which just made me laugh.

Tiger Chu

Conjuring over IT any day. Both versions of that movie are so overrated

Bruce Bromley

From the opening words read by John Larroquette, to the sundown chainsaw ballet by Leatherface. :-)

Anonymous

I must be in the minority of commenters, because I found It Follows to be boring and vastly over-rated. And I say this as a huge horror fan who enjoys different styles in the horror genre.

Anonymous

When will the Black Widow reaction get posted?

mrhalfbit

It is sooooooo overrated.

Gary

Thought the same myself for Natalie, Horror but with her crush in it! Win-Win all around

Eric Janssen

It '18 had a fantastic first half, exploiting the kids' fears while updating the story out of Stephen King's Universal-monster sentimentality, and playing on audiences' 80's nostalgia. Chapter Two, however, was a textbook case of "Lost World syndrome", ie. what happens when you let the hit director back to his own smash sequel, and he thinks it's his own private Facebook page--In this case, throwing the rest of the book out the window to do his own impassioned plea against LGBT persecution.

nataliegold

Haha I feel you Sarah! Stay tuned for a surprise movie coming out very soon :)

Cripkie

it follows is creepy af. ill take jump scares any day, they only shock.

Cripkie

the original IT is great for a direct to tv film. i saw it as a child tho so yeah. Its written to terrify kids.

Cripkie

Pretty sure texas chainsaw massacre is an amalgamation of infamous American serial killers. Whats with American serial killers and playing with the body parts? a weird trend has developed over the decades. probs a result of the superficial consumer culture.

Lindsey Kalenborn

I’d actually be worried for you if you watched the original Texas chainsaw massacre, it would be too much for you 🙁

Bruce Bromley

Hardly a resemblance to anyone. If you want to reach, one could say Ed Gein, but he was more a grave robber than a serial killer, that like to do DIY projects with the bones.

Eric Janssen

One of the big surprises people find out is that nobody ever actually gets cut up with a chainsaw in the original 70's Texas Chainsaw Massacre--There's almost no blood on screen for about 90% of the movie. That's not to say the ATMOSPHERE isn't freaky and disturbing, though.

Anonymous

The conjuring is so much better than IT lol

Adam Vialpando

Better than the IT miniseries sure but the new IT movies are a bit better than The Conjuring imo.

Adam Vialpando

The Original Texas Chainsaw Massacre is not the slasher most people think of it as. It really is a quite unique movie, for it's time at least.

The Golgothan

I love how you all think Texas Chainsaw Massacre would give Nat nightmares but The Conjuring and IT won't. Also, I feel like we've seen quite enough supernatural horror already and it may be time for a good old fashioned slasher flick. And as others have stated there's very little gore in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Vincent Valentin

i actually didn't find It that scary, I enjoyed it quite a bit but outside of The Texas chainsaw massacre probably the best pic for Nat.

Thomas Williamson

I've never liked "It." I read the book and saw the first movie (or miniseries or whatever) and I thought they both stank. Stephen King just picking up a check for some pedestrian work. But some people seem to like it, so - whatever.

gpaul

It might seriously be the most overrated horror movie ever, i mean its fun but its not scary.

Koala Banana

"It" is not scary.

Travis

HEREDITARY

JPOlsen

IT FollowS!!! Truly Weird concept of the "antagonist&-how-to-fight/deal-w/it" but very unique though. The subtle pacing... the grabbing camera work.. the swelling synth-ish score... all Magnifique! Love to see what you think of that one.

Cifer

Texas Chainsaw Massacre is the most iconic of these. "It" isn't bad, but as someone with no fear of clowns it really felt lacking in the horror department.

Lisa Tosti

I will be skipping voting this week because I am a horrible scaredy cat. The only one Ive seen on this list is It and it messed me up for years. I'm still not fully recovered. I will see you on Monday for Ted Lasso

Robert Reichle

I hope no choices are ever in a poll that you really don't want to watch. Just being nervous about scary movies, I hope. There are some horror films that just shouldn't be seen by someone that isn't into that much horror.

Justin S.

Looks like it will be IT. I assume it will be the theatrical version and not the TV one from 1990. Hope Nat starts adding more classes from the 80s here soon. For Texas Chainsaw Massacre, would it be the original 1974 film or the 2003 remake with Jessica Biel?

Vidcutter

I'd be good with either. I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked the remake.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

I'm still hopeful Poltergeist makes into a poll someday, it's a classic, some of the effects are a little dated but the acting performances more than make up for it imo.

Ben

How about the original 'Flatliners' or "The Others'?

Brandon Scott

Wow, 😂. People aren’t interested in easing her into spooky season AT ALL! Lol

Dooly

It Follows is the best one on this list. Shame it isn’t more well known like the others

Kelvin

If It wins, and It Follows gets second place, then It Follows It

Rick Runge

I'm guessing you've seen Beetlejuice..

jose giron

no one wants to see the STI metaphor movie lol ???

Richard Maurer

I guess the only way I'll get to see It Follows get reacted to is for all the mainstream horror to go first. Well, at least It is winning, which is better than a cheap jump-scare mediocre film like The Conjuring. It Follows and Texas Chainsaw are easily the best films in this poll -imo (as a horror film veteran).

Richard Maurer

"There are some horror films that just shouldn't be seen by someone that isn't into that much horror" - None of which are in this poll. There are movies I've seen that make Human Centipede seem like a lite comedy. While the movies in this poll are (mostly) scary, none of them are really disturbing.

Anonymous

Yeah, I feel like that's the trend for most things. At least it gives us things to look forward to (:

Richard Maurer

I'm sorry. glad you liked it it, but in reality The Conjuring is in no way considered a classic horror film. Yes, I'm gate keeping, but in this case it needs to be done.

Opti_Frog

I am really on the side of the minority here, because i think TCM and It Follows beats the crap out of It and The Scamjuring.

Anonymous

I agree, those are my two picks from this list. It Follows is really interesting, I might just rewatch it tonight.

Anonymous

All I want is for her to watch Cabin in The Woods

Anonymous

is "It" the movie or mini series version? cause the mini series was so much better than the movie

Jeff Wolff

How about Young Frankenstein? It would be EPIC!!

Justin S.

That movie is more entertaining after you've seen more of the horror classics to understand or recognize the references, especially Evil Dead Trilogy, Child's Play, Hellraiser, etc. So, I think it's best that she watches more of them first before Cabin in the Woods.

Justin S.

I'd like to see themed polls at some point, such as just Stephen King Adaptations, Standalone Slashers, Creature Features, and Paranormal Stuff. Would guarantee some variety and give more of the classics a chance to be reacted to sooner. Could be used for other genres as well.

Anonymous

It follows by a mile :(.

Anonymous

Of these choices, I find Texas the most disturbing. But I can't argue with the polls (even if the majority voted against Tucker & Dale...come on,. Nat loves Alan Tudyk).

Richard Flores

I loved It Follows the same way I loved John Carpenter's Halloween (and Stranger Things?). And I did not expect to. Sometime, somewhen, watch it even though it didn't win. For you.

Tom Fehr

Hereditary!!!

Anonymous

Wow! you have really jumped into natmare with both feet with this one! ALL of these are going to give you natmares for months!

Skizane

Well, here we are again. The widely known Hollywood blockbuster beats the older or more obscure genre films simply because most people just vote for the only movie they've heard of. I am disappoint.

Cory Silver

That's why I voted "It Follows". Even though Chainsaw is an American Classic.

Jayson Phillips

Think about the one you most want to see her reaction too not the one you like the best!!!

Jayson Phillips

Sorry but thought IT was lame.. Conjuring is at least based on a true story.

Joe Blankenship

I figured she might like It Follows. It's super creepy, but it's very well done.

Anonymous

I wonder if it would've ruined the theatrical version if they did "stunt casting" by casting the now grown child actors from the miniseries as the grownups for It Part 2.

Brandon Scott

Poor Nat. The two that are winning are defiantly the two that are going to give her nightmares. lol

Jayson Phillips

WOW! Attack someone for having their own opinion that's lovely!

Aaron Chandler

I find it highly entertaining that It is running away with this poll, but most of the comments I've read is slamming the movie. Are It fans that silent majority I keep hearing about?

Dooly

What do you expect from a bunch of normies?

Anonymous

I think most look at a poll, click on the one they've seen, and don't give it another thought and don't read the comments. Fans of smaller movies may seem scrappier and more vocal since they've got to fight to get their movies reacted to (usually without success)

David

I'm just going to say it, the IT films are technically better, from a filming standpoint. But the 90's Pennywise is far scarier and superior, as is the adult part of the story. Just compare the restaurant scenes and the much better chemistry and pacing is for the miniseries to the film. Though I admit that the remake with the kids part of the story is neck and neck to the miniseries, (clown design and annoying loud boogity boo scare tactics from the remake aside).

David

And look no further than the design of Pennywise to demonstrate the truth of my claim. 90's Pennywise looks like a normal clown. Unassuming. Perfect for luring children. And then BAM, terrifying monster. Meanwhile, no kid in their right mind when even consider going near the Pennywise of the remake, whom looks evil from the get-go.

Darryl Low

If you voted for IT, and it's winning the poll, there's no need to beef about it. It's only the folks that don't like the movie are the one's that feel the need to vocalise their complaints. But regardless of whether you like the movie or not, surely why we are all here, or at least most of us, is not to watch the movie, but to watch Natalie's reaction to the movie. I guess people who instantly dismiss the 4 movies that have been polled by Nat because they don't like them are missing the point of why there are here to begin with.

Anonymous

Hereditary!!!

Rime Pendragon

I'm fine with whatever wins the poll. If It or The Conjuring wins I'm just not going to watch the reaction. I'm not interested in Nat watching inferior horror movies that mostly consist of jump scares.

Checo Lara

The Witch (2015)

MertzRocks

Unbelievably, I have seen none of these. I'm no help... lol

Anonymous

Have you thought about reacting to Lucifer?

Julia

Dang! The films I've been voting for haven't won recently. The Conjuring is a great movie, but I also loved It Follows so much. It doesn't rely on a lot of super scary scenes but the whole movie is a never ending stressful experience. Its not a typical horror movie! I'm sad It won :/ Loved the movie and it scared the crap out of me (also love a younger and connected cast) but I love the others in a different way. Hope they keep appearing in the polls!

William Connery

Texas Chainsaw Massacre!!!! If you do this one you have to do the original not the remakes although they’re pretty decent

Anonymous

Dang, that’s too bad. TCM or It Follows are my faves outta the bunch! I think they are by far the most interesting choices from a cinematic standpoint.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

For me Texas Chainsaw is the scariest, reminds me of that (true) story from Scotland.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

Oh the irony, that true story was about a Scottish guy named Sawney Bean, and I'm a Beaner with a made up Scottish sounding name. MacGuffin is not a name, it's a device or object written into a story to advance the plot.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

I voted for The Conjuring, Andrea Perron is very convincing about this being a true story (maybe trying to sell books?). I don't know if I believe in possession but I do believe in ghosts (now), I was the hardest of skeptics, until I moved into a haunted house 😂

Opti_Frog

Shock-gore? Now i seriously doubt you have even seen TCM.

Anonymous

I love it, I understand that most people don't like the newer horror films as much as the classics but I think newbies should experience current horror before older horror. I think as just a bonus you should react to all the conjuring movies and maybe the nun even tho its not great just because its kinda cool

devin flynn

If you have room for a series The Stand is a sort of biblical/ suspense miniseries. It was OK

Anonymous

I have a suggestion for the next scary movie: Happy Death Day

Richard Flores

It Follows scratched all those things that John Carpenter's Halloween did so well. Recommended to be by a friend, and boy, did he know me.

Logan Kerlee

I am ALL FOR THIS!! I swear, if she decides to watch and react to Lucifer I'll watch every episode again.

Logan Kerlee

My question, is this for the original It or the new theatrical version? I honestly 100% prefer the original version.. it totally doesn't stand up to the new version but I still love watching that version. That movie gave me TERRIBLE nightmares as a youngster. I first watched It when I was first or second grade, I think? I'm not sure. This new version IS scarier but it doesn't interest as much as the original. lmao, whichever you react to I'll watch. :)

JPOlsen

I highly recommend the very underrated film The Others.

Bart Romanowski

The Conjuring is just another level scary. You wouldn't make it
