Hey guys!

Help me pick a series to power through for spooky season! These are all shows that have either been suggested or that I'm curious about AND have not seen.

I know they're all different in style, but thought they could all work for this time of year. Lmk your thoughts on Lovecraft Country. I'm really curious about it and saw that it fell under the Horror genre so that's why I'm including it here.

(I know shows like Stranger Things have been suggested A LOT, but I've already seen the first season so opted to not include it here. LOVED it btw)

For whatever wins, I'll only be committing to the 1st season (or 10 episodes for the Twilight Zone) as this will just be for spooky season. If we end up enjoying watching this show together, then I will look into doing more seasons in the future.

What we do in the shadows is soo funny.

Anonymous

Hill house!! One off the best horror shows ever

Anonymous

Watch Breaking Bad ! 😭😭

Rey

Have you seen the what we do in the shadows movie yet? That could be a fun October watch

Anonymous

If you want something real spooky watch Chernobyl

Anonymous

What We Do In The Shadows but you should watch the movie first! If you haven’t already seen it of course.

Jayson Orlando

I really wish you would do American Horror Story, I feel like that would be right up your alley 😁😁😁

Lil B

Lovecraft Country is a FANTASTIC horror show that has supernatural/sci-fi elements while the characters are also struggling with the horror of white supremacy in the Deep South of mid-20th century America! Highly recommend! Plus the actor from Loki who played He Who Remains is the main character and his acting is so much better in that season of Lovecraft Country than what he gets to show off in Loki.

Nathan Swapp

I did Lovecraft country, both book and show last year with the Nerdist Bookclub and.... no spoilers but it fizzles a bit. What we do in the Shadows is better

Anonymous

Dark!!!!

Anonymous

Def should watch the What We Do in the Shadows movie first. It’s not necessary, but I think it’s a good introduction.

Anonymous

What we do in the shadows!

Anonymous

What we do in the shadows is the best

Louis Melendez

Haunting of hill house. This is an easy choice

Nick of Time

What We Do In The Shadows is hilarious. Same kind of humor as in Thor: Ragnarok. Same writer/director.

Anonymous

It's not really Halloween like but you definitely should watch Dark in the future though.

Tony Johnson

I've heard good things about Haunting of Hill House, but I've been itching to rewatch Lovecraft Country, especially after seeing Jonathan Majors and Wunmi Wasaku in Loki.

Anonymous

FFS, y'all suck...sigh

Ben Violette

Haunting of Hill House is an amazing series. Dark is also amazing. Lovecraft Country is gory but not especially spooky or scary .

Frankie Crews

Lovecraft Country is amazing but it does feature a level of gore and nudity far above anything else in the poll. A lot of its scares come from the gross out factor. Hill House to me is the best and most scary of these selections.

ButtyOh

Gotta be hill house. And completely ignore the shit sequel series, Bly Manor

Randee Carreno

"The Haunting of Hill House" got my vote on this. 😊 I really enjoyed that one. And since "The Haunting" is one of my favorite movies, it was interesting to see a different take on the familiar characters.

This_Jedi_crafts

My best friend loved "Lovecraft County" so I voted for that. Just haven't gotten up the energy to watch yet - I'm hooked on DC's Doom Patrol!

Śéáń

Hill House is best for the season, but my god is What We Do in the Shadows funny. I haven't laughed as hard at anything in a while.

Anonymous

Please please please be what we do in the shadows!!

Ian

hill house 100% its only one season anyway and its fantastic i know you will find it fascinating nat it will make you jump yes but at least no zombies lol

Jomero

For scares, Hill House. For laughs, What We Do in the Shadows.

Danny Miller

You can never go wrong with ‘The Twilight Zone’, but I know it won’t win.

Anonymous

There was another series by Rod Serling that was scarier than Twilight Zone. Night Gallery it ran from 1970 to 1973. It's on NBC and Amazon.

Anonymous

That was a tough one, as they are all good. I went with Lovecraft Country.

The Golgothan

Never seen any of these except What We Do in the Shadows and The Twilight Zone. That said, I think you'd probably want a break from the actual scary so the spoopy comedy show is probably your best bet.

Danishprince

I do hope you react to the other seasons of Stranger Things one day! (and maybe throw in S1 for good measures anyway;) )

Owen James McBrearty

Please do dark at some stage it's a phenomenal show

Anonymous

I voted for Twilight Zone but you should check out Brand New Cherry Flavor. It’s a recent limited series and, IMO, one of the best things Netflix has ever done.

Darryl Low

The signpost up ahead. Your next stop The Natmares Season.

Ragnar Miersch

Please pick What We do in the Shadows, Miss Natalie. Hearing you laugh is like music to my ears and this series would produce a symphony.

Anonymous

You should check out the new Netflix Sabrina series. It's a wild ride with a pretty cool world to get lost in.

Graht1

I'm torn Lovecraft Country and Hill House. I loved Lovecraft Country, but I'm not sure if Natalie would enjoy it (can't say why because spoilers). On the other hand there's the racism history element that I think more people should know about. I've never seen Hill House and have heard good things about it and would love to watch it with Natalie.

Anonymous

Hill House is definitely the most rewarding out of all of these. Watch out for the tears though. I see them starting about episode four. Episode five if you’re strong.

Jerry Gonzalez

Haunting of hill house is great. Would love to see The boys after spooky season

Christopher Boscarino

I love twilight zone, but not all the best episodes are "spooky".

Baron Imhoof

What We Do in the Shadows is funny. Very funny.

Mister Lou

OMGOSH if we end up going to Hill House, then we've GOTTA visit Bly Manor next, we just gotta!

Christopher Cifani

Great choices, it was hard to pick! What We Do in the Shadows would be a nice gentle (and hilarious) intro to the spooky season, but Hill House is a great scary choice. I personally thing Bly Manor is a better intro to the anthology series, and is more moody spooky than scary spooky--very Gothic horror--but mileage may vary based on what you want in your horror. Those looking for solid scares will like Bly Manor less, but if you like the atmospheric romantic aspect of spooky stories, it's a excellent show!

Anonymous

This is a poll I've been waiting so long for. Hill House is one of my top favourite series. Going into it I was a bit skeptical and was nervous it was going to ruin the original story for me. But Mike Flanagan and the entire cast do such an amazing job that I've probably watched this almost ten times already and it never gets old. It's got a few great jump scares but the story telling and the cinematography are absolutely breathtaking.

RebRox65

Can I just put another idea your way some of the early X Files episodes are very creepy like first season TOOMBS and ICE

codenamewitch xx

Ugh looks like Dark won’t win but it is such a fantastic show!! I highly recommend to all of you who haven’t watched

Tony Sanson

Geeze, this is a tough one because you should honestly watch all of the above. I did go with What We Do in the Shadows just for laughter's sake. Dark is a close second, but it really should be watched in German, and it's hard to follow at first between multiple characters thrown at you, and dealing with subtitles took me a while (shortish attention span me), but damn what a great show. And the Twilight Zone is so classic that select episodes are a MUST watch. I'd also add Penny Dreadful in the mix if you've never seen it. Great show.

john collins

The haunting of hill house was FANTASTIC I can't wait to see how you react to it!

damage3245

Absolutely voting for the Haunting of Hill House.

Joe Blankenship

I've been meaning to watch What We Do in the Shadows anyway, so that's what I picked.

mrhalfbit

PLEASE what we do in the Shadows at some point!

NobleSon32

I absolutely loved Lovecraft Country. Episode 3 is probably the scariest thing I have ever seen tbh.

Anonymous

Also, in general, I would suggest anything by Mike Flanagan. He has a very “Stephen King” feel for horror

Len

Hi Nathalie! I hope you're doing well 💛 I was wondering if you could react to Venom. I think it's the only sony/mcu film you have not seen yet! Venom is a character from the marvel comics under sony just like Tom Holland's Spider-man. Also, Venom 2 will be released within a few weeks so it would be nice to hear what you think about it! Have a nice weekend 💛

Anonymous

I've never commented before. What we do in the shadows is the greatest shown in TV history.

Tiger Chu

YES to What we do in the shadows. Might wanna see the movie first

Anonymous

The Hunting, i want her to freak out

Thomas Yanez

"The Haunting of Hill House" will probably scare the pants off you, and yet be one of the most rewarding television experiences you've ever had. You may think that you know what this show is, but you don't. But, that's okay, because nobody else who watched it did, either.

Wilhelm Keidel

Hill House is amazing. What we do in the Shadows is still worth watching, but that's more comedy. Maybe to calm down from Hill House.

Jason Gillman

Honestly really hard choice. I voted for What We Do in the Shadows but I’m not opposed to rewatching Hill House, or at least my favorite couple of episodes.

Christopher French

What we do in the shadows is HILARIOUS! If it doesn't win at least watch the movie!

Anonymous

Hill house is a no-brainer. Not only does it have great writing and great performances, the filmaking is a technical masterpiece. So many great panning and following long takes. Episode 6 is 5 one takes. You should definitely watch The Making of Episode 6 Featurette after you finish the season.

Anonymous

The Haunting of Hill House, followed by What We Do In The Shadows movie... then TV series? 😀

Eric Janssen

I’ll not only suggest Twilight Zone, I’ll GIVE the 10 greatest episodes on request: Starting with “The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street”, William Shatner in “Nick of Time”, my annual Christmas sobs to “Night of the Meek” and “Changing of the Guard” (😭), the set-up twist of “Five Characters in Search of an Exit”, and the chillingly prophetic COVID metaphor of “The Old Man in the Cave”. (Yes: A little taste of the days when Classic TV was about EPISODES, not “shocking season-arc finales”.)

mrhalfbit

I will say, I’d rather see more film reacts on this channel. It seems lately we’re getting TONS of TV reacts and not as many films any more. Shows just take up so much time, films are a nice simple one and done experience

Steve J

Haven't really watched any of these except most of Twilight Zone (old and new, Outer Limits in the same vein). Excited to see who wins

Anders Johansen

Spooky stuff not really my thing - gonna skip whatever you choose.

Anonymous

These are all good and I’m glad you’re likely to watch Haunting of Hill House as it’s fantastic. But Dark is easily the best show in your list, it’s the best show I’ve seen in years, an amazing and mind boggling piece of science fiction that deserves so much more recognition! Please keep it in mind for future.

Heliastein

Damn lovecraft is sooooo good and freaky, i wish i wins but it doesn't seems like it will :(

Anonymous

Dark is fantastic! But, if you only watch the 1st season you end up with way more questions than answers.

soggytacos

HILL HOUSE IS S OO GOOODDDDDDDDDDDDD

Anonymous

Lovecraft Country is so good guys

Grady Jaymes Smith

After your next series, I’d love it if you considered LOST if you haven’t seen it already.

Paul Gibbons

When you say The Haunting i hope you mean the 63 version as that's ace.

Anonymous

Haunting of Hill house is winning... we are evil.

Anonymous

I wish Lovecraft Country would win 😪

Anonymous

WWDITS!!! It's spooky themed but it's a mockumentary comedy. The Office with vampires

Anonymous

The Abominable Doctor Phibes

Anonymous

"Please don't pillage me!"

Robert C

What We Do in the Shadows is not scary at all, but it is the funniest show on television, so it gets my vote.

Anonymous

Dark is not a scary serie, but it's a master piece and you need to watch all the season, I hope dark wins 💚

Peter Yocum

Same, it got my vote. Haunting of Hill House is good and very well done as a traditional horror type of show, but LC was highly original, epic in scope, and starred Kang the Conqueror.

David Sumner

The movie I really want to see her reaction to is Sleepwalkers (1992). That movie is batshit insane in a glorious way!

Anonymous

If you get a chance, check out a show called "Glitch" on Netflix. Fantastic show for the first season or two.

JayyDTR

Can't really go wrong with any of these! Hill House is amazing, and Dark is a masterpiece... but it's a show people love or hate IMO.

Anonymous

Twilight Zone.

Holly R

Voted for Hill House, because it's not even a contest.... However, I don't think Nat's seen the movie of What We Do in the Shadows. She should definitely include that in her movies for the month (as a break from the scary). Also, she shouldn't watch the series without watching the movie first....

Robert Reichle

I voted for what we do in the shadows, but I would hope anyone watching it has already seen the film first.

G. T. Blackwell

Come on, people. What We Do in the Shadows is the obvious choice.

Sean

Dark is amazing and I would have voted for it but it's an all-or-nothing deal. Watching only season 1 would be a travesty. Edit: To clarify, it would be a travesty because plotlines begin in season 1 and end in season 3.

Ryan

Go with the Twilight Zone, strait horror is all well and good but Existential Terror is better.

Ian Cano

The Twilight Zone episode called "Long Distance Call" was one of the creepiest things I watched on TV or film when I was a kid. It may have been because I loved my grandma so much and the grandmother in this episode reminded me of mine.

Ana Fox

OMG Haunting is on the list, yes, yes, yes!

Eric Janssen

“The Obsolete Man” also has a freaky nightmarish quality to it, but a good stinging Rod Serling message. “Come Wander With Me” is also super creepy, but takes a few viewings to figure out—Explanations on request. And how many felt like “The Midnight Sun” during the first weeks of the Lockdown? 😓

Anonymous

Twilight zone is such a good show. We really haven’t had anything near that level outside of black mirror.

Thomas Yanez

Evil because we know it's going to scare the poop out of her... but still good patrons because it is an amazing show and I'm sure she will love it by the time it is done.

Anonymous

The haunting of hill House PLEASE........ You'll not regret this one.

Anonymous

Hill House .......

LightsCameraJake

Have not seen any of these so im curious and looking forward to any of them that we watch! Voted for Haunting of house hill since I love the paranormal.

Anonymous

Hill House was beautifully haunting.

Anonymous

Haunting Hill all the way...

Anonymous

Dark is sublime

Obie Brown

Haunting of Hill House is amazing!

Danishprince

She has already seen Breaking Bad before she started doing reactions so that's not possible :)

Anonymous

[no spoilers here] I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Haunting of Hill House is the Godfather of ghost stories! It jumps decades (in a good story telling way). It has compelling, strained, family dynamics. A great ensemble cast. And a multi layer story that rips your heart out, says "Boo" to it, stuffs it back into your chest cavity, and stitches closed a y-incision.

Anonymous

I voted for The Twilight Zone mainly because it could end with a movie like Firefly does. Watch 10 episodes and then Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983). With all the voting for favorite episodes we'll all be invested in whichever ones you watch. The movie is really good, so that's a plus for a fun ending to the series.

WackySwacky

Honestly any of these except Lovecraft Country. I've heard nothing but good things about Hill House so my vote is for that.

Eric Janssen

Yeah, but…hate the John Landis segment all you want, it’s the only part of the Movie that actually RESEMBLES the classic series, while Spielberg, Joe Dante and George Miller were goofing it up.

XadeChronos

Hill house, lovecraft country, and what we do in the shadows are all incredible!

Anonymous

Yes i totally agree, such an genius and fantastic show, very disappointed that it won't win😔

WackySwacky

The movie is so great. I've wanted to watch the show for a while now.

Kelvin

Dark feels like a thing you would have to complete from what i've seen of it. Still good though

AshicallyMe

If Lovecraft Country doesn't win, definitely save it for BHM of next year!

Anonymous

What We Do In The Shadows is ABSOLUTELY incredible, though a wee bit less spooky. If you like Taika Waititi, you will love it.

Anonymous

Haunting of Hill House is amazing, just don't watch it right before bed Nat!

Jayson Phillips

Movies, I recommend the conjuring series ♥

Kevin Mowery

I voted Hill House, Lovecraft Country, and WWDITS. There are a couple of points in WWDITS where you might get a reference from the movie, but if not you won't know you missed anything.

Dante

OMG Natalie NEEDS to watch Haunting of Hill House. She is going to LOVE it.

Ross Stewart

Would love you to watch brand new cherry flavour. It’s sooooo weird and eerie

Dante

Surprised you haven’t seen it yet, Dyko. Surprised the heck out of me. Masterful storytelling and cinematography!

Cory Silver

Twilight Zone is an any time show. Even the "bad" episodes are worth watching...

Anonymous

Looks like Hill House has a commanding lead…get ready to grab some tissues, Nat.

Anonymous

What we do in the shadows (my vote) isn’t really scary, but it’s freaking hilarious! It’s pretty dark humor tbh, but it still might be a nice break from being scared every time you watch something lol

Angel

Hill House is such a good well rounded show. Fantastic story, I will always recommend!! Can't wait!

collegeguy6377

Hill house is actually terrifying. And that's coming from a horror fan. But it's also a fantastic story, so it definitely has my vote

Valentin torres

Can we make “Fear Street” on Netflix an option?

Anonymous

I'd love for her to watch those in October! I watched them not expecting much, but then ended up loving all 3

Anonymous

Where’s X-Men First Class?

Anonymous

I know it’s not a horror movie per say but I’d love to see you react to Shutter Island with Leonardo DiCaprio if you haven’t or have seen it before !!

Dave M.

YESSSSS!! So happy about The Haunting of Hill House. I hope it wins the poll. 😈

Ahadi Gitau

I'm not familiar with any of these but haunted of Hill House sounds awesomely terrifying 😅

Doug Watson

The only thing I recognize is the Twilight Zone.

Anonymous

Nat, stock up on tissues if Hill House wins....

Anonymous

Hill House is 10 of the best episodes of any series I have ever seen. I’m not sure you can handle it lol but if it wins I can’t wait to see the reactions…

Anonymous

Can’t really pick a bad series there…Hill House might be a better reaction series. Idk

Anonymous

You should watch DARK some other time as well. Amazing show whose creators were given more Netflix money to create another upcoming series (1899) based upon the success of DARK. Only concern would be if you watched it dubbed over the original German. Idk if you would have an issue watching with subtitles but it should be watched in German to get the most out of it.

Lorenzo Turner

Dark is fantastic, but it's very hard to follow on the first watch. There's just so many names to remember.

Baron

One of the most underrated tv shows ever was "The River" it got cancelled really fast but so spooky, anyone else enjoy "The River" tv series?

Travis

Dark is so fantastic. I bet if it were in English it’d get more love. It’s not really scary though.

Anonymous

Love Haunting of Hill House so I'm very excited that it's winning. I've been looking for a reason to rewatch it & now I have one 😁.

Joe Blankenship

Hannibal is also a great spooky series. At times, it feels like it could be an HBO show, and it should have been, but it's pretty dark and scary for a major network show.

devin flynn

You should consider Stephen King's Rose red. It's like a 3 episode miniseries, and I vaguely remember it as a spooky movie, but not TOO terrifying.

Anonymous

Nat, if you choose Hill House, you're going to be bawling your eyes out. It's scary but it's sad too.

Cody Steele

The haunting of Hill House is amazing... But I'm honestly not sure you can take it Natalie. So I gave a vote for Lovecraft country as a backup. Good luck!

Cody Steele

Can I do a right in for season 1 of Westworld? Please? I guess not.

Daniel Vezina

The crow could be a good Natmares movie, just saying....

Krystal

I'm glad Dark isn't winning, it's a complete story planned and executed in 3 seasons... and not a spooky show... Odd one in the bunch... it's an awesome show though..

tezster

It's not a popular show for reactions I'm assuming because of the direction season 2 takes, but it really is a fantastic show, and I wish more YT reactors would watch it.

tezster

I'm glad Haunting of Hill House is winning. But for you in particular, I think you would enjoy the "2nd" season even more, so I hope that gets on your watchlist as well at some point.

Vincent Valentin

brb gonna go buy stock in tissues before Nat reacts to Haunting of Hill House

BJ Stephens

The second season is pretty good, but Hill House is incredible, I've watched it 3 times, once was enough for Bly imo.

BJ Stephens

really shouldn't post info like that about the ep, kinda takes away from discovering it yourself.

Kayla

The Haunting of Hill House is an incredible show from beginning to end and for being a horror type show it's also incredibly emotional.

—thoughtstorms—Keith—

What We Do in the Shadows is a romp to enjoy in ANY season! They aren't Vampyres just in October! I suspect you will fancy the show as i have. The same title started as a short film, and then a feature -- both set in New Zealand. The TV series in my opinion is the very best of the brilliance, but the feature would make an outSTANDing NatMare watch!

SebastianTheCourtious

Hey Natalie! You really should watch Band of Brothers. It's a war series containing only 10 episodes. It's concidered one of the best short series ever made. really captures the second world war on a personal level and the comradeship between the soldiers of the 101st Airborne.

Anonymous

Wheres the love for What we do in the shadows!!!!!???? She’s gonna be scared all month with y’all movie suggestions. Let her have SOME laughs!!!

Eric Janssen

Can we describe them by TITLE, please, and not by spoiled wrist ending?

Anonymous

Hill House is AWESOME

NobleSon32

I am sad it isn't going to win. It was a phenomenal show to experience.

Mike Api

Hill House if you're looking for spooky but What We Do in the Shadows is probably the best comedy on TV right now. Holy shit do yourself a favor and watch it at some point.

Anonymous

Don't know Haunting Hill, but I hope that What We Do in the Shadows will win nonetheless. Because: hilarious vampire comedy!

David

Dark is an amazing show. But not a spooky show. So I picked Hill House.

Anonymous

Dark is not "spooky." I mean, the premise starts out that way, but it quickly is not.

Sinewmire

What We Do In The Shadows is great, but you need to watch the film first, it establishes the tone.

Anonymous

I was hoping you’d do hill house it’s such a great show, so pumped just to see it up here!

Victor Radoi

Dark is not scary, but is the best from those for me. I voted Hill House for this poll

Anonymous

As others have said, Dark is not spooky, so I went with Hill House, even though Dark is by far the best of the shows listed.

Dooly

Love Dark but Hill House is more appropriate for the spooky season.

Philip

So you never watch the twilight zone while growing up? Damn. You’re really young

Anonymous

Why not True Detective Season 1?

Navjot Singh

The Haunting of Hill House is a brilliant show but I suggest you watch its second season as well - The Haunting of Bly Manor. It's a brilliant season and you will probably like it.

Brian Jones

In regards to What We Do In The Shadows, movie first, then show (both excellent). Really doesn't need to be part of Natmares though, could be viewed at any time during the year. It's FAR more comedy than horror.

Anonymous

Dark is amazing though not necessarily spooky… is a must watch

Anonymous

those who have watched dark will know its the best outta the bunch

Axl Jones

Lovecraft Country is so good!

Anonymous

I keep voting for the ones in second place. Oh, well. At least I'll get to know about shows I haven't watched before.

Daniel Vezina

If you do only 1 season, you should really do Lovecraft Country. The show as been canceled so no worry for miss the rest. And it's so freaking good!!!!!!!!

Nicholas Hentges

The way they incorporate lines from -redacted- from the book into other parts of the show was fantastic.

Anonymous

The first season Of Hill House was good, The second not so much,

Ben Wheeler

Do Scream Queens 🤣

Che Arnold

You have to do dark guys it’s amazing 😭😭😭don’t sleep

Anonymous

Just remembered that October is the perfect month to watch the BLADE movies!

Anonymous

Doesn't look good for WWDitS. Hill House started out interesting and turned into a yawner.

Anonymous

Everyone who has watched DARK will vote for this series!

David

Not me. It's in my top 10 list and I didn't vote for it. It ain't scary.
