I would start watching season 8 ASAP if you have not already. Watching 7 and 8 back to back fixes some of the pacing issues I had, treating it like it’s one season.

Dan Tydeman

Yeah I agree watching it 2 years after season 7 felt like it made the season even worse

Andrew Harrison

Are higher-level patrons than me through the rest of S6 and S7? I'm on YouTube schedule, and not sure why I got the email for this.

Lemuel Daher

R+L=J reaction! You really should react to it before doing Season 8! It compiles all the hints!

Paul Gibbons

Yes she's way ahead of youtube but unless you're on the $1 Patreon level you should be able to see it all that one is only for polls and messages their is no other levels.

Happy westeros Wednesday Nat hope you're having a great time on your break. finale time and its a cracker we say goodbye to someone and I'm so buzzed to see how you react to it and the final few minutes 😉 got snack chocolate biscuits to be precise and a beer so I'm set, let's do this 💛

Baron Imhoof

Best PowerPoint ever.

Eric Janssen

Now, let's see if it's really true that Game of Thrones is "the Channel-Killer", as reactor fans call it...Will Natalie go back to movies, or will we get "What's my NEXT 90's-10's binge-cult series?"

soggytacos

Ramin Djawadi really did carry the series on his back with the music!!!! IT'S ALWAYS SO GOOD.

Anonymous

Honestly should leave Season 8 and have this season ending in your mind without watching S8.

Navjot Singh

Daenerys is Jon's aunt - since Rhaegar is the older brother of Viserys and Daenerys. And yes. The show creators were kind of god bored and wanted to finish the show quickly. HBO wanted them to take as many seasons and episodes as they want, but they were done with it. Moreover, they had signed up deals for future projects, they lost their interest plus with lack of source material, they tried to rush the last two seasons way too much. This is what I guess spoiled the show for us.

Anonymous

Euron is completely trash, don’t be afraid to say it. Just another D&D flaw. Nothing like his book counterpart. And just FYI Martin himself said for it to be properly flushed out alongside his books, GoT would need to be like 10 seasons

Darryl Low

I loved the "How to Kill a Zombie 101". Daenerys certainly knows how to be fashionably late. Littlefinger's is the first death on this show where I think we've seen you smiling Nat 😄 Loved your fair and just summation at the end, and I hope we'll get to hear Tyler's thoughts on the season too. Thanks for your great reaction today Nat and Koda, and look forward to starting the next season 💛

Chris H

Drogon was looking in the opposite direction, on not sturdy ground carrying several hundred pounds of extra weight. Viserion was in the air and heading toward the night king, he was the more immediate threat. Take him out first and almost got Drogon too.

Anonymous

HBO wanted to extend the seasons out longer but D&D said no, we can finish it up with the number of eps they had. By this time, D&D had gotten their agreement with Disney to develop their own Star Wars trilogy and I believe they wanted to finish this up as quickly as possible so that they could get started on that. Unfortunately, after they botched this series up as bad as they did in the end (According to the fans) Disney apparently got scared because there is a lot of crossover between GOT fans and SW fans so they pulled the new trilogy away from D&D. (as read from other sources) So, IMO they rushed all for nothing.

Frank Rosales

Enjoy your week off can't wait to see what the schedule will be like when you come back.

Anonymous

Why would Viserion be considered a threat? At this point in the show, it has been established that White Walkers can be killed with Dragonglass (that's what Sam did) and Valyrian Steel (that's what Jon did). Fire has only been working on Wights so far, so while the dragons pose a threat to the army of the dead, they shouldn't be a real threat to the walkers. So Drogon would've been the juicier target, as that would've prevented the pesky humans' escape. Or am I missing something here?

Laura Thornley

Yeah, show Euron is a really weird mash of book Euron and Victarian with all the cool aspects of both cut out. No eyepatch with a creepy eye underneath, no burned arm, no crew of mutes, no weird magic...

Valar Dohaeris

I had a really bad day yesterday, comments wise, so today I'm just going to say that I'm still loving your reactions and, in this particular instance, my feeling about the show practically concur 1 to 1 with yours. Liking it, but wondering why they decided to change pace and rush everything. Can't wait for the final season... Stay golden.

Anonymous

Yup, I remember the reports when they were first trying to stop at seven but HBO wasn't haven't it.

Anonymous

And from now on its when a series with a great plot, great characters, great acting, great effects, great soundtrack... goes through the drain due to lazy writers rushing it and doing lazy writing. What a shame. What. A. Shame

Christopher French

The beginning of the end of a great series. And a complete slump in quality.

Anonymous

Stop trying to influence the person who is supposed to be giving genuine unbiased reactions. If you don't want to rewatch S8, feel free not to. Fuck's sake.

Anonymous

Why would either choice "kill the channel"? Some people are really weird, man.

john collins

I agree that the mission north of the wall was kind of a plot hole and pretty annoying that the entire goal of capturing one of the zombies to bring as proof to Cersei was entirely useless, unless you consider them convincing Jamie to go north a "success". But I suppose they needed to come up with a way to get a dragon north of the wall so the night king could use it to punch a hole in the wall. I think the reason the night king killed Vasyreon first was because it was the one destroying his army and Drogon was just picking up people off the ground. Not only are these last two seasons rushed but they also have no source material so we have no idea how accurate they are to the "true" story, and we STILL don't have the sixth book in the Song of Ice and Fire series also George Martin said he was planning for 7. Sadly it seems we may never know what the story would have been if Martin had worked a bit faster and finished his books before the show or if the show wasn't made until after the last two books but it's been like a decade since the 5th book came out and Martin seems more focused on his prequels than finishing his original story. Imagine if it took J.K Rowling to write the half blood prince and the deathly hallows but Warner Brothers had just gone ahead and made the final three movies before she finished. Pretty unsatisfying.

MakaPeji

Drogon the Winged Shadow is too sly, slick and wicked when it comes to dodging projectiles. The Night King never stood a chance.

Baron Imhoof

Watching Natalie's comments after the episode about the ongoing bifurcation in opinion about these last seasons, I would say that I've always thought much of the anger is based on the series being as good as she says. When most of a series is great, moments of just good tend to look worse. What began to bother me more in these last seasons were the character arcs that needed more fleshing out, some missed opportunities in the storytelling, especially concerning Bran, and the run of really silly decisions that Jon is making. His quote about the whole world telling lies is one of my favorites of the series and he did keep his word, but, as I pointed out last week, that word should never have been given. I'll reserve most of my comments on how they wrote Bran for the next season but, and I don't claim any expertise in scriptwriting, I will say that I already would have expanded his warging abilities beyond ravens. My biggest problem remains the reduction in the season's length. These actors are good, but their characters arcs just didn't have time to be fleshed out properly. I can accept how these stories played out, but the characters' decisions and reactions would have felt smoother and made more sense if they'd had the extra time to develop the choices in a rational manner. Looking forward to the final season.

Laura Thornley

The reason Ned lied about Jon's birth was to protect him... from Robert. He worried that the other royal children were killed under his orders (or at least, with his consent) via Tywin Lannister's orders (to the Mountain and Amory Loche). Its the only lie he ever told, as far as we know - all to protect his sister's child.

Brian Jones

Again, I don't know why these rumors persist unless it's just disgruntled fans dying to hang some supposed blame around the necks of D&D..... The ending is what the author intended..... HBO was whining and crying about the budget during the last three seasons, and were wanting it finished as well..... Saying anything to the contrary is just revisionist history. And yes, everyone involved with the series has since participated in revisionist history SINCE the community was divided regarding the ending. Interesting how they were all happy about it beforehand though, right? But as I said, Martin had discussed the ending with D&D prior to them ever going off book, and there is more than enough evidence in the trades to show HBO was crying about the budget, so if for some reason anyone is disgruntled about the way the show turned out (personally I thought it was fine but a bit rushed) then you have all three parties to blame regarding the story and execution. And no, D&D hadn't signed on to any other projects until season 8 was already in production. The Star Wars deal wasn't even inked until 2018. They had already chosen directors for Season 8 of GoT in 2017, and the decision to only do 8 seasons was made back in 2016.

Christina

As much as we all blame D&D for the botched ending of this show (which I do), I am not sure if the main cast was willing to go a couple more seasons. Poor Kit was a wreck at the end but maybe slowing the story down would have helped. Sucks when a series you love ends on a bad note. GOT and The 100 being back to back disappointments was terrible.

Guy-on-Couch

A lot of her complaints can be fixed if someone explained things to her....I know I have explained things to friends and vice versa and it helps you look at it a different way....Also nitpicking things like why didn't the Night King kill Drogon is something you can do to almost every movie and show...Movies can be over in 10 minutes if the hero does one thing differently but then there is no movie...you have to leave something up to the imagination so to speak...

Guy-on-Couch

also a few seasons ago Nat was like why the hell is Stannis staying at Castle Black for all these episodes...Now she's like why the hell are people moving around so much...hahaha

Anonymous

Well ladies and gents, and of course Nat, I was surprised to re-enjoy a series I had long since abandoned after the last season. I could have never imagined rewatching this show under any circumstance. And yet, I made it through 7 seasons because Nat's comments and reactions are so interesting and entertaining. But the next and final season are what I get off this ride. Thank you Nat!~ I hope you like it better than I do. And now my Watch has ended.

Anonymous

Yeah I think the biggest problem was them shortening the final 2 seasons. If they stay the usual 10 episodes I think alot of the problems people had are fixed or not as bad

Anonymous

Great reaction as usual and I think your critique of the season was spot on, it did feel like the show was moving arbitrarily fast. But still lots of cool moments.

Paul Gibbons

You heavily involved yesterday you have to take it with a pinch of salt, opinions are like buttholes we all have one.

Scott Lindsey

It's so sad that the showrunners lost interest in the story and just wanted to be done with it. The rushing to the end is so crazy in the last 2 seasons it almost seems like a different show. I wish they had just stepped down and given the show to someone else to finish.

Paul Gibbons

You know I made the same JK Rowling analogy a few eps ago, she didn't start side projects till she'd finished Harry cause she had a plan unlike the real villain here, no plan and he doesn't have a true story just way points.

Paul Gibbons

Why do baddies never shoot the lead in any film/tv show just the day players.

Ilsuk Yang

I've always found it interesting that Cersei was way more scared of the wight than she was of Drogon. She barely even flinched when Drogon appeared, but she looked like she was about to have a heart attach with the wight! Anyways, just a thought

Myles Away

Your summary is sober and accurate.

Anonymous

Yeah, I pretty much agree with you lock step in regards to this season compared to earlier. Bottom line is they wanted to finish and go have a life- and things that really needed to breathe got rushed instead. People are so ready to crucify Dan and Dave.... but it's just a testament to how good those guys were in the early going- that people were that invested.

Anonymous

I was furious when I originally watched last couple of seasons- mainly because of what happened and how it happened. However, given time, I've mellowed and come to accept what happened as being ok and in many cases spot on. However, I still have a problem with how many of the things happened. You nailed it. they just rushed the pacing. Just huge set piece after huge set piece without any reflection or time to breathe.

Ilsuk Yang

See, that's what people don't get! Just because someone criticizes something, it doesn't mean they don't like it, it just means that there were some problems with it, you know, just like everything in life! I love this show, and I will always love this show, but after the showrunners ran out of source material, it wasn't the same. Still enjoyable, but, there was just something missing. Either way, they created/adapted something amazing with this series! And I agree with you on the music, Nat

Joe Blankenship

Yeah, the show has for sure gone downhill, writing-wise. It helps that this show is such a big, expensive spectacle. It's very watchable and we get to see all these characters coming together finally. It definitely deserved better, but what could they do? George R.R. Martin still hasn't finished the next book. And the showrunners were ready to move on so it kinda gets the short shrift.

Corey

I actually agree with Cersi on how she thinks about the battle. If she sent her men yes they could maybe help defeat the white walkers, but she would lose a ton of men. If she leaves the north and Dany to fight then only they lose men and she doesn't. Plus their armies will be so exhausted from fighting that they might not be full force when fighting her. Yeah she is gambling that the white walkers don't kill everyone, but I think her plan is best for her and her army.

Al Baughman

I'm just here for the Koda content really!

Tom Fehr

i enjoyed your ending comments. I don't think seasons 7 and 8 are nearly as bad as most people do, but you're definitely right about it being too fast paced. Their greatest sin was not doing two full 10 episodes seasons at the end. still makes no sense that they didnt.

Alex B

You’re not alone they rushed it for no reason

Caomhan84

I've always had a measured view of what they did. I was on Reddit a lot during the latter half of the show and it's crazy how much that Dan and Dave got criticized for the last two seasons (because it suddenly became "they've always been horrible!"). Horrible showrunners run shows into the ground. Horrible showrunners do NOT grow a show into the most popular show on the planet, with the biggest ratings and popularity globally of any show since the 1980's. They weren't horrible showrunners. But they did massively let the show -- and the audience -- down for how they handled the ending. And for what? All their post-GOT projects, which they were so eager to get to, evaporated. Their Netflix contract went nowhere. Their Star Wars project never happened. I understand that GOT was a difficult project and ending it was a hard task, but they dropped the ball narratively. Production-wise it remained superlative....but creatively they let it implode because they were burned out. In addition to more time for season 8...they should've just asked for more help.

Caomhan84

The media has always blamed "toxic fandom" for the reaction to the ending and the last 2 seasons. But I will always maintain that while you certainly can't please everyone, the MAJORITY of the backlash would've not happened had they presented the exact ending as it happened...over the original 30 episodes as HBO wanted and not 13 as what transpired. With more time for the story to breathe and things to unfold, people would've accepted it better. It was the way it was executed that pissed the majority of people off....NOT what happened.

Adrian

Can't wait for all the facepalming in the last season. Not necessarily from Natalie, but from me. Again.

Adrian

The last season just gets worse the more I think about it ...

Topher Cast

The biggest thing I dont think Nat gets is that when something jumps from one thing to another, it means months or years have gone by. Like cmon. How can you not see that they got there that fast because it's a time skip!? Idk.

Anonymous

The show did an increasingly worse job of showing the passage of time as the seasons wore on. Understanding that time is indeed passing doesn't make the convenient cuts any less jarring.

Anonymous

Nat! Now that u've reached this point in the series u should really watch the R+L=J video on youtube before the beginning of the next season and show us ur reaction on it. Hell u might as well watch the teaser for season 8 before the first episode to get even more hyped. The R+L=J video wont spoil anything u haven't seen in the show up to this point, it will just show the incredible puzzle of events that the series has given the viewers all along without us even knowing what they meant. By watching it u will also notice that alot of urs and ur boyfriends critic of the show so far are off the target. The storywriting is on another level and thats the reason Got is the most watched show in the world. Some people didn't like the way the show ended, some did. It doesn't matter what they or what ur boyfriend thinks. What matters to us is ur reaction on it unfiltered. Like when u instictively started crying during Neds beheading, back when u didn't pick the productiondetails apart as in "why dont we ever get to see anyone in any show or film ever go on the toilet three times a day? That doesn't make sense". I mean really.. Also u tend to talk alot during the most important scenes and conversations, I mean right in middle of em happening. I know u are reacting, but u don't have to complain about stuff that are actually 100% legit as they are still talking. And every time u put ur eyes on the second screen to ur right just to watch what ur boyfriend is telling u about the show live in chat is ruining the experience for both you and us. We don't care about his opinions at all, we want to see you and only you. And please dont prewatch the episodes. I know u make money out of this and u want it to be good but it was better back in season 1 when u didn't. Some of the viewers are not as sharp but alot of us are. Stay golden.

Hal Hawkins

She's Jon's Auntie.

Jerick E

The fact that the time jumps have increasingly been unbearable and kinda plot hole-ish in a way starting from Season 5.... it kinda sucks that this is still a main complaint that she has 7 seasons in.... Then again the entire fandom also pointed this out as the seasons rolled out every year and the 2 yrs in between S7 and S8 whereas nat is experiencing the series in a matter of weeks

Anonymous

The way I get through these last seasons is by viewing them in terms of a video game. The introduction of the fast travel system threw me at first. But seeing as how Jon had already been north of the Wall, he could get his entire party to fast travel. Littlefinger's attempt at using it and literally being told, "YOU CANNOT FAST TRAVEL WHILE ENEMIES ARE NEAR", had me laughing.

Anonymous

you should watch this video on the film composer for GOT https://youtu.be/rSMO4pHe3HE

WackySwacky

A time skip after this season would have helped. Come back to make the final season (or 3 seasons) after a 5 year hiatus, and show the world of Westeros in a state of decay after the White Walkers have reeked havoc for 5 years. It's now the Walking Dead, but with magic. Most of the characters are dead, and our characters are now desperate to find the key to destroying the White Walkers for good.

chicks dig me

I'm grateful for the ending of GoT, it's allowed me to come to peaceful terms with the ending of LOST.

WackySwacky

In case anyone missed it, Littlefinger is basically the "man behind the curtain", the mastermind who orchestrated the inciting events of the show. He is the enemy no one sees, smiling at them during the day, but creeping up on them with dagger in hand at night. In other words, Littlefinger is really the primary human antagonist of the series. Or at least he will be, when that is finally revealed in the final two novels. And here in this episode, the primary antagonist of the series is taken out like a helpless sheep. Littlefinger left himself at the mercy of a single person by sticking around at Winterfell. It goes against the core of his character. The man who is always 10 steps ahead. He essentially has already shown his hand to Sansa, when he left her with the Boltons. He should realistically consider her a burned bridge at this point. Leaving Sansa with the Boltons was a change from the books that never made any sense. It was another character who married Ramsey in the books. There, Sansa still trusts Littlefinger. But on the show, it could not be more clear that she couldn't trust him less. His whole character is based on the premise of trust. Littlefinger should have never stuck around Winterfell. Even with what the show was trying to do, they failed. Sansa does not present any evidence of Littlefinger's guilt, she only levels accusations against him. The only evidence they give is Bran said he did it. Littlefinger would have laughed at this. But why is he there alone? Why does he have no loyal guards with him? This was the mistake Ned Stark made, why would Littlefinger follow in Ned's footsteps? This is not ironic or "just desserts", it's lazy writing that goes against his character. Again, Littlefinger even being in Winterfell makes no sense in the context of the show. He has nothing to gain here, and he's not delusional enough to think Sansa will just "choose" him as a suitor. Sansa didn't outsmart Littlefinger, she just had an omniscient god tell her what Littlefinger's motives were. Martin hasn't written this part of Littlefinger's story yet, so it's fair that the show writers had no idea what to do with him after he and Sansa went to the Eyrie. This explains why he is basically braindead in the later seasons. I can't blame them for failing, but I can point out that what they did was shit. "The man who passes the sentence should swing the sword". I guess this phrase really only counts for men of House Stark (LOL), since Sansa just lets Arya kill Littlefinger for her. Also, I hate that Cersei is the final "big bad" of the show, and I hate how Jaime is still by her side after everything. Minor spoiler, but this is not how it turns out in the books. You really can't fathom just how badly the show messes up the story until you've read the books. I recommend anyone watching these reacts to read them after we finish Season 8.

chicks dig me

Littlefinger was my favorite antagonist of the show. They did him dirty with that pathetic ''slice, dice, thank you thrice'' 50 yard dash by Sansa and Arya.

chicks dig me

I don't know who this Brian Jones is but he's definitely a weiner. His posts smell of junior industry internet influencer as these rants are sophomoric and easily refuted. Seriously, who in this day and age begins support for a beleaguered studio asset by attacking the fans, calling them names and blaming it on the poor basement incel? Jesus, that's so 2015ish. Anyway, I can take him down line by line but I'm having difficulty summoning the get up and go...he's not exactly The Hound. But if you all would like to see that, let me know.

Dani

Nat I just wanna say that your channel and your reactions are worth every penny unlike many other patreons. Your amazing, love you.

Calo Grsf

Hi Nat, awesome reaction! I loved how you were relieved with Littlefinger's moment 😆, and of course the entire reaction was worth the trip haha (special mention for Dany-Jon moment 😅) Personally I like this season as a whole, it has its moments however objectively there're too many ellipses, scriptural shortcuts or debatable decisions. I'm looking forward for your briefing with Tyler, I'm so curious about his thought haha And Koda is so cuuute! Unfortunately he doesn't stand still 😄, I hope we'll see him a little more often haha I hope you're fine, take care, be safe and stay golden! 💛

Paul Gibbons

No people who call others names in their posts are please proceed with your line by line takedown as I support Brian and everything he's posted we use our names instead of idiotic handles.

Nat if you think that season 7 was too fast.....just wait till season 8.

Anonymous

Can I bring myself to rewatch 8 😆 Idk prob just cause I’d like to hear your thoughts on it and the series as a whole

Anonymous

Can't wait for season 8 episode 2. Hands down my favourite episode in the entire series.

Anonymous

Fun fact, Dragons refuse to cross the wall. Queen Alyssane went to the north during the rule of the Old King Jahearys with Silverwing, and no matter how many times she tried, she couldnt make her dragon fly over the wall. “Thrice I flew Silverwing high above Castle Black, and thrice I tried to take her north beyond the Wall,” Alysanne wrote to Jaehaerys, “but every time she veered back south again and refused to go. Never before has she refused to take me where I wished to go. I laughed about it when I came down again, so the black brothers would not realize anything was amiss, but it troubled me then and it troubles me still.”

Bubba Fett

The pacing that started here and continued in the next season is about all I really don't like about the show. Previous seasons event and character development took many episodes even seasons to develop and bits and pieces were unfolded for you. Here it just rushes through it. And worst past is we waited for 2 years for season 8 to come out. In a piece of irony, the failed truce is the reason the night king was able to breach the wall in the first place. Had they not gone north and needed rescuing he never would have gotten the dragon.

Randee Carreno

Happy Thursday, Natalie! 😊 Missed watching this yesterday. So, I'm getting this downloaded right now so that I can watch it later tonight. I'm already looking forward to seeing what S8 brings. Looking forward to watching this during the evening. Have a great day today! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Frank Rosales

By the end of season 6 they did what they did and decided the fate of the show which could have ran on and probably would still be on going to this day if only the book material would have been completed or maybe if the show would have been adapted after the finale of the books who knows what kind of show it could have been today.

WackySwacky

If George had completed the books on time, the show would have been one of the greatest of all time. Now it shares the same fate as Lost and other shows which ended poorly.

Opti_Frog

Those final shots, Wrath of the Lich King, anyone? Somewhat in this season, and particularly in S8, you can tell some of the actors are having problems with their character motivations. They don't really believe the lines coming out of their mouths.

Trepanation21

lmao @ Nat, watching Bran's narration to Sam... "Oh no. Oh shit. B-but, Danaerys really wants it :D!"

Trepanation21

I think that's entirely fictional and a made up perception on the part of some fans like yourself.

Krystal

I hope you consider watching GoT: The Last Watch once you are done with the series... xx

Anonymous

I read somewhere that J.R.R. Martin wanted 13 seasons and end it on a movie trilogy. The last three seasons they tried to tie up too much too quickly. The next season was by far the most disappointing..... Its all because HOB only agreed to so many episodes from the beginning, that combined with the show extending beyond the source material.

Edwin Bertilsson

I would 100% do the same as Cersei in that situation. It's a gamble, but it's smart.

Jennifer Tremblay

Someone's probably already said it, but she's Jon's Aunt, not his cousin. :)

Anonymous

I haven't seen anyone say this yet so I figured I would. I think you had it correct on the Jaime/Cersei scene the first time. She isn't telling Gregor to put his sword up. She IS telling him to kill Jaime, but it's a bluff to get him to capitulate. Jaime simply calls her bluff and starts walking away. I think it's implied Gregor can kind of "read" Cersei. If she had gestured sharply or done something besides stand there when Jaime walked away, I think Gregor would have iced him. But because he sensed that she didn't ACTUALLY want him dead, he puts his sword up and does nothing.

Marty McGee

I wonder now if Robert knew the truth about Lyanna and Rhaegar. And if that was where his anger and motivation for the rebellion really came from: that Lyanna loved and chose Rhaegar instead of him, instead of believing Rhaegar had kidnapped and raped her.

Anonymous

So why would you ever think Jon is Roberts son? That make absolutely no sense. Why would Ned keep a secret like that from his best friend if it was his son? The only reason to hid it from everyone (including his wife) was that Robert would literally murder him because he was Rhager’s son with Lyanna. Why would you keep Robert having a bastard with Lyanna from him? If anything after loosing Lyanna he would cherish that baby knowing it was a piece of Lyanna so Jon being Robert’s son makes absolutely no sense. No to mention that lords and ladies routinely didn’t have premarital sex with their fiancés.

Anonymous

NOT A SPOILER! Hey Nat 😊 hopefully you see this, but thought you should know that HBO offered the show runners to go to season 10 with 10 episodes per season. But the show runners didn’t want to work on the show for longer than they did. That’s probably why it feels very rushed.

Daniel Vezina

About Jon and Dany, They're actually Aunt and Nephew, which was perfectly normal at the time(Jon Grandfather married is Aunt), if you look at all the real life Dynasty, there's a lot of inner family marriages, to keep the power inside the family. I had the infinite pleasure to saw Ramin Djawadi perform GOT music in person and it was on of my favorite shows ever and I've seen a lot( I lived in Quebec city where we have the best festival music in the world aka FEQ).

the fact you haven't been disappointed by seasons 4-7 presumably 8 as well, is more than a bit weird. it is what is though

Sometimes I wonder if Littlefinger started the whole "she was kidnapped" bit. Because when Sansa is talking about Lyanna in the crypt, Littlefinger has this look on his face like he knows what actually happened. But he doesn't say anything, and I think he doesn't because saying something could point to his deception. And Since Lyanna and Rhaegar were married in secret, Robert probably didn't know. How did Robert find out? Did Littlefinger start the rumour before Rhaegar could announce his marriage? So many questions haha. We know Robert's temperament. Like you said, even if he knew the truth, he probably would have gone to war for her.

HBO offered D & D more episodes, more time. HBO wanted to give the series what it needed. D & D were the ones that wanted to end it quickly, they wanted to move on to other projects.

I’d like to tell our Golden girl to save herself the time and effort and only watch the first 2 episodes of season 8 and call it a day and make your own conclusions, trust me it’s far better to do that then what comes next on this seasons Conclusion. But then you’re aware of this. But I know you’re gonna have to see it through to the end. My biggest regret is I’m gonna have to pay good money to buy this crap season on dvd as that’s the only option I have of watching them, and the last season only has 6 episodes and it’s the most expensive,??? The best thing about season 8 was the documentary THE LAST WATCH highly recommended viewing and I’m sure Nat will find this fascinating due to her background.
