The Nat in the Hat is back, Staying Golden as always. Happy Westeros Wednesday. A great episode Nat, but yes, a lot of island hopping going on, and you need to keep track of everyone's movements. The scene where Jon faced off with Drogon was so good. I loved how concerned you were that they were venturing north without hats. You should have given them a loan of yours ha ha. Thanks for a fun reaction today Nat. Look forward to the next episode 💛

Randee Carreno

Happy Westeros Wednesday, Natalie! 😊 I'm getting this downloaded right now so that I can watch it later tonight. It's been an interesting season 7 of GoT so far. Looking forward to watching this reaction this evening. Have a great day today! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Ian

OK let's try this again Happy westeros Wednesday Nat 😀 got the day right this time 😊 really looking forward to this one it's one of my favourite episodes of this season some great character interactions that I think you will enjoy 👌 got a nice chicken salad and a drink so let's do this 💛

Brandon

Great reaction. Your responses to the speed of people moving from place to place had me laughing. I always find it jarring as well. To be fair though, the Blackwater Rush where Jaime and Bronn were at the beginning is very close to King's Landing. Dragonstone, where Tyrion and Davos travelled from is also really close to King's Landing - which is why it made no sense for Cersei not to take it herself after Stannis abandoned it.

Ben Wheeler

I don't know if anyone recognizes him, but the Archmaester is played by Professor Slughorn from the 6th Harry Potter movie--can't remember the actor's name.

Brandon

Jim Broadbent. Terrific actor that shows up all over the place, but he doesn't get quite enough to do in his role here.

Anonymous

This is where everyone (including myself) who couldn't wait to see Daenerys in Westeros realized just what her war of conquest would really look like. I thought six seasons of gory battle scenes and occasional dragon attacks had prepared me, but I wasn't ready to see a dragon being fully utilized in battle. The final two seasons get a lot of flack, but I really loved the narrative, even if not always the execution.

Anonymous

great reaction as always, loved the roasting of the hound at the end lmao.

Anonymous

You literally had me laughing out loud with your earnest hat commentary. I’m glad there wasn’t any dialogue at the time because I would have missed it.

Calo Grsf

Hi Nat, thanks for your reaction, it was really cosy today haha 😄 I hope you have fastened your seatbelt for the next step haha, I like to see how you are stretched like a clothesline for the next part 😆, I really can't wait to see more of it haha I hope you're fine, take care, be safe and stay golden! 💛

Julia

Hi Nat! Another great reaction, I laughed at the hat monologue a lot (: I wish we didnt have to wait until next Wednesday for the season finale!!!

Joe Blankenship

All the characters are coming together and there’s fewer storylines to check in with. That makes the time pass faster too... [deep breath] this next episode’s gonna be a doozy…

Anonymous

The hammer is what Robert Baratheon fought with :)

Anonymous

The battles in the last two seasons are so big in scope, that the budget just didn't allow for anymore episodes, so the passing of time had to be compacted somewhat.

Anonymous

Hmmm, I never noticed the complete lack of hats in this show. Not even the Night's Watch and Free Folk wear hats...ever. The Pyromancer wore a hat-like covering, and some random extras wear cloth scraps on their heads...but there are literally no hats! Oh wait...that guy who Ned beheaded in ep1 wore a hat.

DarkJokester

I love how you are questioning the decision makings of this season and the fast travel as well. Tyrion keeps coming up with one brilliant idea after the other and you are right the mission would take an entire season to accomplish... I laughed when you said that. I can't wait til the mission is done and we are free to discuss it... I have a few things to say about the next episode which in my opinion is the worst written episode until season 8 comes up that is. Great reaction as always and i can't wait to hear your commentary to the next episode. "The whole purpose of this is just to convince Cercie to fight alongside Dany and I don' think she will, regardless". Lines like that is why I love watching your commentary.. Stay safe :D

Navjot Singh

There's one more reason as to why the last two seasons are so short. But I guess I will hold on to it until Nat finishes the show.

Brian Jones

A great suggestion for the next show would be The Boys.

Kevin

Yes The Boys!

john collins

Just one thing you seemed to overlook was the purpose of collecting one of the zombies. It's not to convince Cerci to fight with them it's to get her to agree to an armistace (a sees fire) so that Danny can leave dragon stone and Cerci won't attack it or attack the north from behind while they fight the white walkers.

Xenic Mark

I don't understand why Nat thinks death by beheading is any different from death by dragon fire. If anything there are no mistakes with dragon fire. I doubt you even fill a thing if that thing breathes fire straight up. The only thing I see as a problem is there's nothing left to bury, either way, you're dead. And its not like she didn't offer them a choice.

Stephen Woods

Hi Natalie, If you are looking for a new show to watch when you finish Game of Thrones may I suggest Battlestar Galactica, I think you will enjoy it.

Laura Thornley

I would really enjoy seeing Star Trek reactions, but then again its such a huge series of shows that its a daunting task to even consider for one of the nine different Star Treks out there!

Tranquil_Gnome

Love Sam in this season. "Nothing F's you harder than time" Great line from Davos. So true! Love the look when you got when Gilly reads about the annulment message and its meaning. Just wish Sam showed that he got it too. But he had other things on his mind. Nice contrast between Sansa, Cersei and Daenerys leading people.

Anonymous

Hello, great reaction! If you are looking for a show to watch after, my family really wants you to watch Netflix Daredevil, it's a masterpiece

chicks dig me

Natalie, it's accelerating because D+D are rushing to their next gig...Disney.

Joe Mama

Another show you should watch is The Sopranos or The Wire

Ellis Hugh

Seriously, not all but most of the problems with the final two seasons probably would have been rectified if we had gotten two full seasons instead of the truncated versions we got. Seven more episodes could have gone a LONG way.

Jerick E

Frodo had his Sam... Jon needs his own Sam as well ;)

Ellis Hugh

MUST go Stranger Things for next non-Marvel show.

Ellis Hugh

Regarding Dany... you've seen how much she has begun to believe in her own myth, that she is somehow divinely appointed to free everyone from their bondage, regardless of what form that bondage takes. The self-righteous tyrant comes to believe that any means justify that noble end. They are so focused on the new world ahead that they care less and less for the world around them now, and the people that live in it. You could see it coming - how many times has she had to be talked down from slaughtering her enemies wholesale by her advisors?

Ellis Hugh

Something to keep in mind while watching these final seasons, specifically the interplay between Sansa and Arya - the two girls are absolute best friends in real life. Maise was Maid of Honor at Sophie Turner's wedding. But they didn't get to be in the show together from season 1 until midway through season 7... they're finally reunited and so excited to be working together, but they have these scenes they have to do, these really intense scenes... Another thing - there's a popular theory from the book, one with a fair amount of support, that Tyrion is also a Targaryen. It's believed by many (and has yet to be disproven) that one of the reasons that Tywin turned on the Mad King was because he had raped Tywin's wife and he believed that Tyrion was the result of that union. In the books Tyrion's description hints at Targaryen heritage, from having pale blonde, almost white hair to mismatched eyes (supposedly meant to suggest mismatched heritage, in part because the only other character in the entire series with mismatched eyes was also half-Targaryen). And then there's the matter of the dragons reacting to him as they had only reacted to Jon and Dany - also Targaryen. It remains to be seen if this theory proves true.

Paul Gibbons

Said that myself, I've really noticed that re-watching the problem is at this point because of what you said she's stopped listening.

Al Baughman

After you finish the series you need to watch Pitch Meeting: GoT you'll love it!

Paul Gibbons

I would say as of the longer eps I read that someone worked out it's the equivalent of 8 eps seasons but the extra eps would have been nice.

Ellis Hugh

I remember this episode so fondly... the entire week after all we did was take bets on which of the 'Magnificent Seven' would die beyond the wall, cuz you know, this is George Martin, NO WAY do they all come back. The debates were fierce as to the reasons why each member would or wouldn't make it back. Good times.

Ilsuk Yang

It's funny that you said that it reminded you of Pompeii since Kit Harrington (Jon Snow) starred in the movie Pompeii. Unfortunately, it was not a good movie. Anyways, I enjoyed your reaction as always

Andrew Clifton

Ahh yes I remember the same lol. I'll come back here after she posts the next episode and tell you what my thought process on that was lol.

Andrew Clifton

I'm gonna wait and watch episodes 5 and 6 tomorrow since they go together so well. Almost like watching a great movie. I love season 7 despite what anyone else thinks. I get sick of hearing the books this and the books that. I was smart enough to wait till the show completed before reading all the books. That way I could just enjoy it and not waste my time comparing it at every turn. Everyone loved season 7 and most never complained about till after season 8.

Obsolyeet

IDK. That's pretty out there. I think if that's how Tywin felt, Tyrion wouldn't have survived 1 day. Theories by nature are always disproven until proven.

Anonymous

BLAH BLAH BLAH can u shut up about the damn time skips. why u feel the need to scream in my fuckin ear about something that's been in every movie and tv show ever? Like i understand u want more scenes in between and whatnot but ur literally still getting great GOT scenes anyway, like do u want to see their whole walk to their destination? will that make u satisfied? i swear to god this "filmaking pov" standpoint and commentary is CANCEROUS AF but an otherwise great REACTOR/REACTION. That's the most annoying part for me right now. (that's until u find something new to overreact to in the next episodes)

Brandon Hancock

I agree with you on all of the jumping for the most part. But the Dragonstone to Kings Landing jump is okay for me at least. I know, according to GRRM, it's still a long trip, but Kings Landing and Dragonstone are in the same bay. I'm actually surprised Dany's fleet didn't blockade the entire bay, with Dragonstone guarding the mouth of it.

Anonymous

Since you mentioned the next poll, I would like to suggest The Expanse for the next non-Marvel show

Guy-on-Couch

When complaining about the people moving around too fast is a later seasons problem...Lets not forget Rob made it up to Winterfell and back to King's Landing with Ned in a couple episodes of season 1...those are months long trips

Christopher French

Avatar the Last Airbender? Is that watched already?

Tadpoleaxe

John: We were hoping we could recruit some free folk to come with us. We've even brought some red shirts for them to wear.

Joey Joseph Jojoson

A theory says Tyrion is a Targaryen too. He was supposed to be a bastard of the Mad King, making him half-brother to Daenerys.

Jordan Freemyer

Okay, so I'm gonna go a little off theme for the next show suggestion and say Ted Lasso, which is basically the opposite of Game of Thrones.

Michael G. Munz

The hat thing north of the wall always bothered me. I feel validated whenever Nat mentions it.

Daniel Vezina

What's the difference between beheaded or burn by a dragon? It's just as quick, no pain just obliteration.

Daniel Vezina

Again Nath you should watch History and lore of Westeros on YouTube. it would expendyour knowledge A

WackySwacky

She would have to pick just one of the shows, but then she'd eventually want to watch them all. Also, Star Trek is extremely episodic, so I'm not sure if it is a great fit for these reactions.

Lomino

Stigma, Think about our own History, plus yeah it was quick When Drogon did it but when someone says burned alive, 98 % of the time it isn't quick

Ben Gilshenan

they installed a fast travel mod between episodes

WackySwacky

The Arya and Sansa tension is so forced lol. Meanwhile Baelish is just sitting around at Winterfell doing basically nothing. He's lost all of his previously characteristic proactiveness. His plan is so petty it's honestly hilarious. He's been so severely dumbed down when he used to be THE mastermind.

Justin Credible

Robert Baratheon carried a hammer into battle rather than a sword

Chris H

I explain the quick travel like this. In the early seasons there were many more different groups of people we follow. So whe Tyrion was traveling from the Vale we could just go to a different group and not see him for an episode. So when we do see him again it feels like time has passed. Now all the characters are together and there isn't much more to do besides the big stuff so there aren't other groups to cut to when one group is traveling. Also Dragonstone is real close to Kings Landing.

Daniel Vezina

So you admit the latter seasons doesn't make sense to the earlier ones. Why are you defending Dumb&Dumber??

Jomero

"You really could have drawn this season out to 10 episodes..." And that is one of the biggest issues in these final episodes. HBO was more than happy to give the writers/creators more time and money. HBO didn't want that gravy train to end. It was one of the most lucrative properties they've ever had. They would have loved to see 10 or 11 seasons, and have stated as such. It wasn't HBO saying "Wrap it up." It wasn't the actors who were saying they were done, as they were also happy with those fat checks. For that blame, you have to look at two very specific folks.

Jenny Tolls

I love how Gendry uses a warhammer as his weapon of choice because his father Robert used a battle axe as his weapon of choice. Also pretty ironic how his father fought to kill the Targaryens and now Gendry is fighting for one lol

Anonymous

Yeah, nothing better than "watching people traveling."

Anonymous

Yeah, because there's nothing better than "watching people traveling."

Christina

LOL.. “Where are their hats?”

Mike LL

Yes. The Sopranos is very entertaining and The Wire is the best TV show ever made.

Baron

"Every hour wounds, the last one kills" Basque Expression popular on clocks

Jayson Orlando

I love you to death, hence me becoming a patron member, but it is really truly hard to follow without the sound have you thought about maybe using Vimeo or another video player where you could just play the episode without having to blur it or take out the sound It would be so much better I'm thinking God I know the episode so it's easier to follow but just thought I'd let you know that those might be an easier route.

AC5555

If you coerce people to bend the knee then you are nothing but a dictator. I cannot condone Dany's ways.

LightsCameraJake

I find it interesting that we complain about time jumps in this show but not in any other show or movie in existence. I honestly dont understand the crap this show takes for it and Its stilly. Game of Thrones would be 20 seasons long and downright boring if we cared about the travel times in every episode. Time does not pass way to fast, it passes like any other show ever created would pass time. I for one dont care how they got there, the point is to move the story and the characters along and not take 4 seasons to meet somebody. It boils down to there being less people and even less houses then the other seasons. Technically there has never been "travel time" in this show if you think about it. Travel times was just an allusion to how many people we needed to focus on.
