This was the first re-watch of the series that I was paying attention and saw Lady Olenna take the poison crystal from Sansa's necklace.

Kevin Anand

Ah yes, we ALL love this one

Randee Carreno

Happy Wednesday, Natalie! 😊 I'm getting this downloaded right now so I can watch it later tonight. That was a good season 4 premiere episode yesterday. Looking forward to watching this one this evening. Have a great day! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Krystal

YAY PURPLER DAYS :P

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

Traffic and GoT are at least two of the things I've found can predictably bring out the inner murderer in otherwise chill people. This episode is a good example 😂

Ian

🟣🤵👰🎉

MertzRocks

First comes the Red Wedding and then comes the Purple Wedding ;p

JediLounger

And there was much rejoicing.

Valar Dohaeris

Great reaction. Watching with hindsight, the clues were there... Nice episode.

Darryl Low

As soon as I saw your thumbnail, I knew instantly why you chose it. I think that this may be the first death in this show that you didn't require tissues for Nat. We all know what side of the fence you stand on! ha ha. Your Kool-Aid references always make me laugh. Thanks for another fine video today Nat 💛

Calo Grsf

Thank you Nat, nice reaction! 😄 One of my favourite episode! (I wonder why 😆) I hate Joffrey so much haha but the actor Jack Gleeson was really good in the role! And you were so confused at the end, very funny haha can't get enough of your "Error 404" moments 😆 I can't wait for the next one! I hope you're fine, be safe, take and stay golden! 💛

Matt O'Keefe

The pie was a bit dry.

Kal-El_138

Did she misunderstand the part where Oberyn was talking about Dorne?

Kyle Johnston

Why say this? Just why?

Paul C

There's three types of deaths in GoT: 1. You go "Woohoo! Serves you right beotch!" 2. You go "WTF? Why? Why was this necessary?" 3. You go "Oh no! (super sad face)" This was definitely No.1

Kevin Anand

I think you misunderstood the point about Dorne. Oberyn was telling Cersei that her daughter was sent to a safe place, where she wouldn't be harmed.

Opti_Frog

Knowing how Joffrey was poisoned, it is nice to see the filmmaking sleight of hand. It's almost all there, hidden in plain sight.

Jed U

I think you might have confused the expression on Tywin's face. He quite hates Joffrey's antics despite his dislike of Tyrion, Joffrey's childish antics also bothered him. Only Cirsei really enjoyed his torment of Tyrion during the wedding

MakaPeji

Fuck the king! lovely reaction.

Woowawo

This one was interesting - most people get caught up in celebrating what just happened to Joffrey (understandably) but you were much more focused on worrying about what would happen to Tyrion and Sansa as a result. Good stuff!

Ellis Hugh

You've had the Red Wedding... and now the 'Purple Wedding'. Who poisoned Joffrey? Who indeed..

Tranquil_Gnome

The Purple Wedding! The song that was playing is a Lannister song, the Rains of Castamere. It is about a time when one of the Lannister bannermen tried to overthrow them. Tywin destroyed the house and made the song about it to remind everyone what happens when you disrespect the House Lannister. Every Lannister party they play the song. The Red Wedding episode is titled the Rains of Castamere. The song played before the bloodshed started.

Tranquil_Gnome

One of the joys of GoT, you never know what will happen. . . . 2 out of 3 so far have come true.

Justin Credible

FYI, this is called The Purple Wedding because of the color of Joffery's face

Kiera

First time I've seen someone ask whether Shae was in the pie. That got quite the chuckle out of me! That was, as others have said, the Purple Wedding. Weddings in Westeros are not a pleasant affair. Joffery shows us one last time how utterly incompetent he is at being a king, not understanding how much honor the office of Cup-Bearer really is and mistaking it for a role meant to embarrass Tyrion.

Trepanation21

@Nat -- I know that you object to the Red Woman, Stannis, and the Lord of Light, but there is a very important thing that deserves contemplation -- The Lord of Light and the followers thereof have *actually* (apparently) demonstrated its power. Melisandre with the Shadow, you saw Lord Beric Dondarrion wield a flaming sword, and you saw Thoros of Myr -a priest of the red god- resurrect Beric Dondarrion after The Hound slayed him. right in front of The Hound and Arya. There are other arguable examples throughout (sacrifices on the pyre flaring up on cue with Melisandre's prayers, etc) , but the point still stands -- If you *actually* witnessed what appeared to be consistent acts of a god, inexplicable merits of the religion... Wouldn't you believe too?

Vidcutter

At the end of the series, we need a NatDance supercut; an edit of Nat dancing in her chair over the various episodes during the opening credits.

Othorious

Good ole Purple Wedding

Al Baughman

not the reaction I expected to Jofferys death! lol

Michael G. Munz

Ding-Dong, the prick is dead! (Which old prick? The PSYCHO prick!)

Brian Jones

Pour one out for Joffery.... Have to give props to Jack Gleeson for playing the character so well.... He was easily one of the most "love to hate them" characters in GOT. By all accounts he's a great guy in real life. :) If you do decide to watch the Nolan Batman trilogy keep an eye out for his brief appearance. Great reaction as always.

Zach Greenleaf

Natalie, you should look at map of Westeros and Essos, across The Narrow Sea. It will put all of the locations into perspective. For example Dorne is the southern most kingdom, its part of Westeros.

Mike Adams

New drinking game: take a drink for every "what" Natalie says.

Mike Api

Moral of the story: don't get married in this world lol

Mike H

same here! she was so stunned she forgot to be happy!

mike

In case you are a bit confused how bastard names work Nat, Westerosi are obsessed with blood. They have a saying, "blood will always tell". They believe children born out of wedlock are children born of lust, and so will grow to be usurpers, oathbreakers and filled with lust themselves. So all bastards are given region specific last names as content-warning if you like, to caution people against trusting them. in the north, the last name is Snow obviously. In the riverlands (lots of rivers here), Rivers is more common, in the reach (where Olenna's family rule, lots of flowers) its Flowers. In Dorne (very dry and arid place) its Sand. As far as fantasy goes, this is one of my favorite piece of world building.

Robb Hollen

So brilliant to have the Purple Wedding occur just a few episodes after the Red Wedding. So unexpected.

Aaron

Sweet, sweet catharsis... A rare luxury in this show.

Jordan Freemyer

Natalie: "Can he just die already???" Me: "Give it literally 5 minutes!"

Cripkie

"Margaery what have they done to your hair" Straight hair people always long for curls, curly hair people always long for straight locks. The curse of human nature isto never be satisfied with what we have.

Ben Gilshenan

you have lived through the red wedding now you just saw the purple wedding

Just want to say that I don't think it's fair to call Theon a coward. He's been victim to horrific torture and is insanely traumatized. I can't think of a character who has been tortured to that extent who wouldn't be afraid.

Joseph

Creepy as it may be, I find the Lord of Light to be one of the most interesting parts of the show. Definitely the most consistent; sacrifice and burn, get your wish.

MertzRocks

You wish Syrio was still around... Yeah, they killed him. Why do you think Meryn Trant is on Arya's list?

Joseph Pecoraro

I almost forgot how quickly this episode comes up. It's always fun watching this one with hindsight

Ellis Hugh

Natalie Dormer is just so incredibly beautiful... she's the most beautiful woman in the entire series in my opinion, at least until Sophie Turner comes fully into her own.

Stephanie Baggage

Great episode! The two swords were made from Ned Starks huge sword Ice. There isn't any Valarian steel left and it's the best material for swords. Only wealthy houses have them and pass them from generation to generation. It's a super big deal that they didn't return it to the Starks.

Joshua Sutton

As much as Joffrey is Hated right up till his death you have to give 100% to the actor Jack Gleeson What is Sad about it Jack Gleeson has received so many death threats in the real world because of his role as Joffrey on Game of Thrones and he No longer is an actor

Linus Marjeta

Nat has gotten more or more ignorant to the struggles and predicaments these characters find themselves in sadly and expects everyone to stand their ground and say "no more!" no matter what has happened or will happen to them. It's easy to have such opinions when one is sitting in comfort in ones home.

Linus Marjeta

Yea, Nat's attention span is mostly close to 0, so, not surprising but still facepalm worthy
