Randee Carreno

Downloading this right now to watch later tonight. 😊 We're so close to the season finale. Season 3 has been my favorite season so far. Looking forward to watching this reaction this evening. Have a great day! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Balkyne

You don't seem to be very sympathetic to Robb's love Nat :D

Anonymous

I’m glad you’re warming up to Jaime. He’s really a complex character

Balkyne

It's worth noting Sansa is probably about 15 right now. It's a bit more insane than just an age gap

Darryl Low

Charles Dance is the actor who plays Tywin, and he has done a ton of work across so many genres, from The Jewel in the Crown to Godzilla!! Always gives every role his all. Thanks for another great week of Thrones vids Nat 💛

Lots of interesting stuff in this episode. You were asking if "this guy" had turned on Robb. The guy is Lord Roose Bolton of The Dreadfort in the Nort. He is one of Robb's bannermen. He was ordered to recapture Jaime and instead he sent him back to King's Landing, asking Jaime to put in a good word for him. Dany's three dragons are: - Drogon, named after her husband Khal Drogo, is black with red markings, and is the largest - Rhaegal, named after her brother Rhaegar, is green with bronze markings - Viserion, named after her brother Viserys, is white with gold markings Also, the sound of the dragons scream is the sound of tortoises mating. I kid you not. Sound design is a wonderfully creative and often disgusting field... Qyburn is modeled after Josef Mengele, a doctor in the Nazi SS that experimented on Jewish prisoners in the concentration camps. Like Qyburn, he also discovered insights into how the human body works, andd occasionally some scientist will suggest that they should open it and make use of it to save lives, but to this day, no ethical doctor will even look at his research because then others might decide that the ends justify the means. The title of this episode comes from a popular Westeros folk song that George R.R. Martin put into the books. The Brotherhood was singing it when Arya first encountered them in s3e2, and that episode ends with a modern rock interpretation of the song. It's about a maiden who washes her hair with honey, hoping to attract a knight, but instead a brown bear smells the honey and comes to lick it out of her hair. She falls in love and the maiden and bear live happily ever after... You can see the full lyrics here. https://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/The_Bear_and_the_Maiden_Fair There are no spoilers on this page for the show. All the "History" is stuff in the books that never happens in the show.

Hi Jai. Cos the first 3 seasons are very cool. And the best of them all.. and ofcourse continue watching 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 too.

Tranquil_Gnome

"Love is the death of duty." Maester Aemon talking to Jon Snow. Applies to Robb as well. But then Tyrion might have a better life putting love over duty. Become a juggler and be happy with Shae somewhere far from the Iron Throne. The wolf and the hound! And second time Joffrey had a good idea. He could be an effective King if he was included in the small counsel meetings. The question is if he would be a good King to his people is another question. Hard to imagine that he would be good.

So here’s a fun fact: the actress who plays Talisa (Robb’s wife) is Oona Chaplin, and no, that last name is no coincidence. She’s Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter.

Nat from a few episodes ago: "I hope theon gets tortured and suffers!". Nat today: "Aaaahhhhhh I don't want to see this!" 😂😂😂

Another great reaction video! Though, not gonna lie, kinda wish nobody had ever mentioned The Red Wedding to you. XD I worry you've perhaps built it up in your mind to beyond what it actually is. But we'll see...

Kevin Anand

Tywin Lannister is the best character in this show hands down

Calo Grsf

Thanks Nat, this episode was great! 😄 I like how you try to understand the different events to come haha And Jaime's evolution is really interesting, Brienne is a great female character, one of my favorite with Daenerys, and the character who tortures Theon is very well played by the actor who I find excellent, like Tywin and Geoffrey, the actors are amazing in the role (but I hate the characters haha) And yes, bears should have freedom 😆! (I love bears, one of my tattoos is a bear haha) Unfortunately, the episode ends too quickly 😭, I can't wait for next step😛! I hope you're fine, be safe, take care and stay golden! 💛

never thought you'd be so pro arranged marriage

NobleSon32

Tywin Lannister was hand of the King to The Mad King, and it is rumored he raped his wife. Then, Tyrion was born, and his wife died in labor. Tywin is hard on his children because he knows his twin children have an unsavory relationship, and the dwarf he cant claim isnt his, and he believes to not be his is the reason his wife died. He also made house Lannister the strongest and wealthiest in the 7 kingdoms. He is intimidating and the only reason Joffre is behaving. I understand he isnt the most likable but I prefer him over Cerci any day.

I'm really enjoying re-watching this series on this channel. Natalie sharply picks up on every little detail. Impressive.

A tip on wargs, when their eyes roll back into their heads like Orell (the wildling guy who likes Ygritte) they enter into the minds of their animal but don't see the future. So Orell is more just constantly suspicious of Jon rather than seeing the future

Justin Credible

What's ironic is Rose Leslie is Scottish nobility and actually grew up in a castle that has been in her family for centuries.

MertzRocks

Yes and don't forget inmate/CMO "Dr" Clemens in Alien3. Another good performance.

Berry

Hey Natalie, great reaction episode once again. I enjoyed the debriefing at the end, you should keep doing that, you have good insights :) But maybe not obsess about that "Red Wedding" so much, just take things as they come.

MertzRocks

Yes it is impressive, Natalie. Whether your predictions are all wrong, half-right or spot-on, you are really good at picking up on so many things that I missed the 1st time thru. (This is probably my 9th now lol)

MertzRocks

I will wait to relay what colors I call all the different weddings so I don't spoil anything...

Watching these again is such a treat. So many things I'm noticing that I didn't notice the first time around. I really love how all the house themes intensify when a character from one of the main houses does something epic. Like how the Baratheon theme plays when Melisandre tells Gendry he's a Baratheon or at the end of this when Jemmy saves Briane. Love it.

Michael G. Munz

"I'm so glad they cut away!" Boy, did they ever.

I’m sure someone else has said this, but Robb (the oldest) was only 14 in the books at the beginning, Sansa was only 11. Season 3 is only 2 years later... So, Robb is leading the army as king at 14-16 at the time of this “season” in the books. And Sansa is at oldest 13. Dany was only 13 at the start in the books when she’s given to Drogo. Fortunately, they are all older in the show. Not that what happens to them is any less worse...

Misty Crom

The actor doing such a good job of playing Tywin is Charles Dance; a very seasoned actor, mostly in the UK, but also been in plenty of movies. Also, the Wildling warg is Mackenzie Crook who was in The Office with Martin Freeman - and Prates of the Caribbean. Also, Olenna Tyrell is played by Dame Dianna Rigg. - This show, along with the Harry Potter movies are kind-of a who's-who of British actors. Though there's yet one actor I'm amazed was never in either. Also, Rose Leslie, who plays Ygritte and Kit Harrington are now married in real life; they have a son as of February.

sheriffjt

Charles Dance reading celebrity biographies on The Big Fat Quizzes is something everyone needs to see...

Daniel Vezina

Again Nat, you need to watch History and Lore of Westeros Season 1-8 after each season.

A Vicarious View

Talisa being pregnant: Are you angry with me? Rob: Not at all. Natalie: oh god...Oh God....No! This is a Distraction!!! 🤣😂🤣

Ben Gilshenan

natalie i know your excited for the red wedding but try not to think about events you have heard about it can ruin the show if you think too much in to the events just focus on whats presented in the episodes not what you have heard of from friends/family/comments

Steven Tarsitano

wargs can't see into the future. they simply can transport their minds into the bodies of animals. he uses that bird to scout ahead, seeing through that birds eyes and controlling that bird as if it were his own body.

RebRox65

So our GoT saga is about to be extended, HBO have officially announced that HOUSE OF DRAGONS in production and is hopefully for May 2022 release. We might just finish in time for the story to continue, but this nobody will have any spoilers because we’re all be in the same boat.

serendib

I know you like doing the conductor thing a bit during the opening but when I first re-watched Season 1 I did so with the commentary on and and there was one episode that really changed my perspective on the opening song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REasBBiJm00

Thoko

Well, technically anybody who has read the book Fire & Blood can have spoilers

I have to say.... there's a reason you are the youtube reaction-er(?) with the fastest growing following right now!!! I absolutely LOVE watching stuff with you.... Nat you are an absolute gem. <3

David Dotting

I love how despite the fact that he's uncouth and gross around the edges, Tormund's advice isn't actually BAD it's just crass.

Michael Short

I don't love Tywin, but I do like his handling of Joffrey lol
