I'm fairly new to your patreon, but I have to say I am really enjoying your daily release of content. I was expecting one or two drops on a weekly basis, and I was fine with that. Thank you for exceeding my expectations!

Ian

Finale time 🙂🎉 so excited for this reaction, season finales are always special ✨ this is going to be great, we really are powering through this series Nat very much appreciate all you do for us 💛 kleenex must be making a mint from you too 🙂

Randee Carreno

WOW! We're at the season 2 finale already! I'm watching this one right away. After that last episode I didn't want to wait. LOL! I'm so looking forward to the start of season 3 tomorrow. And if you and Tyler, or the voice of Tyler, discuss the previous season in the intro like you did for this one. I liked how you did that. Have a great day! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

So Melisandre/The Red Witch background, not spoiling story (from having read the wikis for side info when I first watched GOT)- she is supporting Stannis because she believes he is the reincarnation of a figure from legend called “Azor Ahai”. Some prophesies say that Azor Ahai will return to save humanity from the eventual return of the White Walkers, so she does believe he will do good. In her world view since she does think the white walkers are coming soon, essentially no sacrifice of people or individually bad act is too high to outweigh fulfilling that prophecy, so... you get the shadow demon and her general callousness about human costs.

RocktSurgeon

Tyrion’s injury was way downplayed in the show, from the books he was actually massively disfigured, I think described as looking like a skull, missing most of his nose. So his fears of her reaction make way more sense in that case.

Jake Potrebic

To address your mention of how the Iron Islanders got away from Winterfell, I think Robb said to let any who surrendered go except Theon, so the rest of them turned theon over to them so they could go home.

Anonymous

When you were asking what Dany was looking at in the House of the Undying, it was the Iron Throne! The room she was in was a vision of the throne room in the Red Keep, where winter had come and the building was in ruins.

Darryl Low

That was a really great introduction to the Winter Zombies Nat 😀 A satisfying way to wrap up the season , seeing all the characters and setting them all up for the next part of their journey. And another great Tyrion and Shae moment, even though they ruined his good looks. An emotional reaction today Nat, and some good scary moments for you to endure. Looking forward to starting the 3rd season with you. I hope you are going to include a tete-a-offscreen tete with Tyler before the start, although he's probably finished the whole show by now 😄Thanks Nat 💛

Ian

Valar morghulas is a saying not the guys name his name is jaqen h'ghar 👍

Anonymous

I love Nat's predictions and how much fun that will be watching her see how things play out.

Calo Grsf

Thank you Natie for sharing! 😄 Eh, what would Natalie be without tears? We love you for that, the empathic and all kind of emotional moments 😜, it makes you Gold haha I loved the moment when Dany freed the dragons but the end of this episode with you is worth it! So much tension in your eyes, soon the next one! 😄 Be safe and stay golden! 💛

The thing Denayres was going to touch in the Tower of the Undying was the iron throne. Half-Hand wanted John to kill him so the wildlings would trust him. The Iron islanders surrendered Winterfell, accepting Robs offer to trade Theon for their freedom. Really looking forward to season 3.

Vonlinchen

The scene where John kills the half-hand is one of my favoriate scenes in the entire series. How he sacrificed himself not just ot save john and get an Crow into Mance's camp as a spy, but also the way he made sure John would remember his vows... "We are the watchers on the wall" Not something John can easily forget.

Jai Nelson

I sent a DM to her a couple weeks ago and ended it with “Valar Morghulis” and she thought it was my name too lol. She said “Thanks Valar”

Tranquil_Gnome

Yea, Podrick! You will love him. I was surprised he was in the background so much this season. Seen but not very active. I guess for surprise when he saved Tyiron. One of the many things I love about this show and story is that every character is offered opportunities to avoid their fates. I think Sansa was offered her out when the Hound offered to take her away last episode. Theon has had several this season. The other thing I love is that most characters are complex. They have reasons why they way they are. Choices that they made in the past have lead them to where they are today. Made them who they are today. Some of their past is not known to everyone either. So you don't really know who they really are until find out all their secrets. But they also have the ability to change. Become someone different.

Valar Dohaeris

Vale Morghulis isn't a name. Valar morghulis translates to "all men must die" in High Valyrian. It is a customary saying in Essos that is traditionally answered with "valar dohaeris," meaning "all men must serve."

Jai Nelson

Yeah, it was a cost decision. Would have been quite expensive to have to CG a missing piece of face every time Tyrion is on screen.

mike

what exactly happened in winterfell won't be clear for a while. so you are right in observing that somethings don't add up as of now. onto one of my favorite seasons of any TV!

Anonymous

Valar Morghulis is a phrase. You can call Jaqen... Jaqen, or the Faceless Man.

WackySwacky

Half-hand already knew he was a dead man walking (the Wildlings would never spare him), so getting Jon to kill him and gain the trust the Wildlings was the obvious move. Really showed Jon what a real man of the Nights Watch looks like. Something he won't forget.

Anonymous

nowadays when I see the scene with Khaleesi and Jorah i always remember the line from Thor Ragnorok. "oh this whole thing is a circle. But not a real circle, but more like a freaky circle."

Anonymous

Daenerys is her name, Khaleesi is a title. But other than that I love everything about your comment lol

Rune

What she almost touched before going to the North, was the Iron Throne.

Cripkie

If tywin aknowledged tyrions Success it would only inflate his already massive ego. He knew that coldness would temper it like it tempers steel. not a great father but a excellent commander.

Alan Kobb

Theon's speech is a direct homage to William Shakespere's St. Crispin's Day Speech from Henry IV. Shakespere's speech popularized the phrase "Band of Brothers". He that shall live this day, and see old age, Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours, And say "To-morrow is Saint Crispian." Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars, And say "These wounds I had on Crispin's day." Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot, But he'll remember, with advantages, What feats he did that day. Then shall our names, Familiar in his mouth as household words— Harry the King, Bedford and Exeter, Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester— Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb'red. This story shall the good man teach his son; And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by, From this day to the ending of the world, But we in it shall be rememberèd— We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he to-day that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother... If you recall a few episodes ago, Lord Bolton told Robb Stark that he could send his bastard son to raise an army and retake Winterfell. We didn't see his son, but that's what happened. The Iron Islanders gave up, but they would have been wise to burn Winterfell before doing so, to prevent it from being used. In Daenarys' vision, she was in the throne room in King's Landing and touched the Iron Throne. However, The Red Keep was ruined and apparrently winter had come, so it was snowing. I think the warlocks were testing Dany to see how dedicated she was to the dragons. In this scene and the scene with Drogo and Rhago, Dany turned her back on the throne and her family at the sound of her dragons. You may have missed the conversation that Jon and Qhorin had in a previous episode. Qhorin told Jon that they needed a man on the inside with the wildlings to find out what their plans were and mislead them as to the power of the Knight's Watch. Qhorin intentionally gave his life to put Jon in a position to be the spy. Zombies are worse than living people? Zombies haven't met Cersei.

Anonymous

She was in the throne room in kings landing

Anonymous

Tyrions wound in the book was much worse, he lost half his nose which makes the dialogue with Shae make more sense.

Ilsuk Yang

So, the only white walker you see in this episode was the one on the horse. The rest of the horde of zombies you see are called wights.

Cripkie

Oh... ha. I didnt realise you straitened your hair till you took off your head phones. Makes you look taller.

Joe Blankenship

Yeah, Theon should’ve gone to the wall here. I can’t wait for season 3. Dany’s story finally gets moving.

Steven Hok

Can't believe we're already through season 2. Love that you're giving us three episodes a week Natalie! Can't wait for season 3!

My Toasty Toast

The vision she had was the Red Keep/the Iron Throne in a destroyed throne room. The ceiling was completely destroyed and, at the time the episode aired, it was up for debate whether it was snowing in the room or if it was ash

Obsolyeet

The item you were asking what she was looking at in the warlock tower was the iron throne. She was briefly standing in the throne room at King's Landing.

Jayson Phillips

Can't wait to see your reaction to Infinity War!

Justin Credible

They never actually showed Syrio Forel die. I think he and Jaqen H'ghar are one in the same.

Donovan Sparks

Hey Nat. In case you didn't read it enough... the thing that Dany was looking at in the tower was the iron throne. ;)

Donovan Sparks

I don't think this is true. Jaquen made a pointed distinction that water dancers and faceless men were very different.

Robb Hollen

The reason you only remember the battle at Blackwater last episode is because it was the entire episode.

Denise Mullin

There are a few things you may not have noticed during the intros to the episodes. First of all when the cast names come up there is a small symbol beside each of the casts name. It represents the house that the cast member belongs to. Dragon for Danny, wolf for Arya, Lion for Joffrey etc. Also when The picture of the map zooms out, you see an Eyelid blink. As if you are a dragon looking down on this world. Hope these couple of Easter eggs make your day,,,

Martin Firth

TRIVIA: The actor who plays Theon (Alfie Allen) is Lilly Allen's brother.

Alan Kobb

Valor morghulis is High Valyrian for "all men must die". It's a greeting, but also a statement of religious belief. If you remember what Syrio Forel said, "There is only one God and his name is Death, and there is only one thing we say to Death, 'Not Today.' " You begin to get a picture of the religious beliefs around Braavos. Then you have what Jaqen said to Arya, that she had "stolen 3 lives from the Red God" when she gave him the axe to free them from the burning cage, so Jaqen gave her 3 lives not to pay back Arya, but to pay back the Red God. It kind of reminds me of some of old religious beliefs. Some religions, Jews included, don't believe in naming children after their living relatives because of a fear that the angel of death coming to take an old person might get confused and take the child instead. I've heard of actual people just a century ago changing the name of a sick child to try to trick the angel of death and spare the child. As for the man who said it, he called himself Jaqen H'ghar. That might not be his real name, but that's what Arya knows him as.

Coojw

She was first in the throne room when you were asking what is she wanting to touch. She was looking at the iron throne.

Coojw

MORE "NIGHT WALKERS" lolol

Daniel Vezina

jaqen h'ghar=Syrio Forel. That's how he got captured

Valar Dohaeris

Tv wounds are always lessen than in books. Specially in the face and when there are many seasons yet to go... ;)

Michael G. Munz

I forget - did the Iron Islanders sack and burn the place before they left? It seemed in much worse shape after they left than it was when they knocked out Theon.

Anonymous

I dont know if anyone has brought this up in previous episodes - the opening credits changes to show the places where the current episode takes place, so we can see where we are with the different storylines

Ellis Hugh

Nat, not sure if you picked it up but that entire opening scene where Loras asks that the Joffrey consider his sister and he publicly deliberates while being advised... it was all theater, pre-arranged as part of the Tyrell's price for coming to the Lannister's aid. Everyone involved knew what they were going to say, all for the benefit of the onlookers and the common folk.

Ellis Hugh

Seeing him (Tyrion) cry like this, I can't handle it... *cough*

sheriffjt

As shown in the recap, Robb let all the Iron Born freely return home if they surrendered EXCEPT Theon. They just knocked him out and gave him up for safe passage, which was Robb's intent.

I think what I love most about Game of Thrones or A Song of Ice and Fire is that it is "low fantasy". There are dragons, there's magic, but it's so lowkey that it makes the introduction of those elements so much more powerful. I think that's what's so special about George R.R. Martin's world. It just FEELS real because it's not about dragon-slaying or killing monsters but true human intrigue, betrayal, drama, heroism, and the shades of grey when it comes to morality. This is the only series of books and television show that I've read and watched multiple times.

Conzi

I think this is a bit of a spoiler because this is explained later and you're not suppose to really sympathize with Melisandre yet

Alan Kobb

Lady Melisandre is a priestess of the God R'hillor, The Lord of Light. She came to Westeros from the city of Asshai (so far away that the Westerosi know almost nothing of it). She came to Westeros to spread her faith, particualarly by getting the powerful people of Westeros to follow it, and she snagged Stannis. Her religion teaches of an ancient legendary man named Azor Ahai. He forged the great sword Lightbringer, which he used to defeat The Great Other during a time of darkness. The prophecy says that Azor Ahai will be reborn as "the Price that was Promised" who will once again take up Lightbringer to defeat the coming darkness. In the books, Melisandre says "When the red star bleeds and the darkness gathers, Azor Ahai shall be born again amidst smoke and salt to wake dragons out of stone. The bleeding star has come and gone, and Dragonstone is the place of smoke and salt. Stannis Baratheon is Azor Ahai reborn!" Apparrently Melisandre believes that she can see further prophicies from The lord of Light in fire. What Melisandre doesn't realize, but we already know is that there is someone who fits that prophecy much closer. Someone born on the island of Dragonstone who will wake Dragons from stone and who was "reborn" under a red star. Meanwhile, in Westeros, the predominant religion is the Religion of the Seven. Robb and Talisa were married by a priest of the Seven. It is somewhat like Catholicism in that it is a single god with multiple "aspects". Seven to Catholic's 3. They are The Father (representing justice), The Mother (mercy, childbirth), The Maiden (purity, love and beauty), The Crone (wisdom), The Warrior (strength and courage), The Smith (creativity and industriousness and The Stranger (death)

I am confused, why can I not see or hear the movie?

AC5555

You need your own copy to see this film. All reactors remove the audio and blur out the video to make sure they don't get copyright strikes on YouTube. A lot of editing is also required.

Tadpoleaxe

When the scene opens on the horse pooping, it's a metaphor that everything that is about to be said is horse shit. The whole, "I have come to love you from afar." etc.

Sinewmire

Jaqen is indeed to good to be captured. The theory is that Littlefinger hired him to kill Ned Stark, assuming he would be travelling to the wall with Yoren. And yes, the Iron Islanders are indeed the worst. I'm impressed you asked how the Iron Islanders managed to burn Winterfell and get away, that's some good lateral thinking!

Tommy Ross

#KhalDrogoIsARapist

Michael Short

Valar Mogulis (can't spell it) means "All men must die" in Old Valyrian :)

Michael Short

In my opinion GoT ended too soon . They reduced the amount of episodes per season so the ending was rushed
