there are an overwhelming number of characters on this show and the first time I watched it I had trouble remembering who was who. One thing I did was I started to take notes, writing down names and who they were and that really helped me a lot. If you find yourself forgetting who certain characters are it might help you to take notes too.

Re: Blood is thicker than water. Something I've read about the full phrase turns its meaning on its head. "the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb" One's promise is more important than familial bonds.

Here’s a neat bit of trivia no one’s mentioned yet: the actress who plays Marjorie, Natalie Dormer, also played Pvt. Lorraine, the female Army officer who put the moves on Steve in Captain America: The First Avenger.

tbh I completely forgot about a lot of the stuff from early seasons. I came out that final scene thinking the same thing as Nat, that's really clever 😆

"Blood is thicker than water" is actually a truncated version of the saying. The full saying is "The Blood of the Covenant is thicker than the Water of the Womb." Meaning that chosen promises and relationships ARE stronger than familial bonds.

As long as you don't read into anything beyond whats on the map, you should not come across any spoilers. The saying "blood is thicker than water" is a shortened saying.... The actual saying is blood is thicker than the water of the womb therefore blood spilt on the battlefield or in a bond means more than siblings bonds.

Hi Nat, reeeally off topic: I work as a conductor, it IS really fun, and I also have conducted this music in concert. Not that hard to learn basics , and really hard to learn well 😂

Funny little bit... near the end, when all the people are asleep and Arya's talking, the kid who plays Hotpie (the one who thinks anyone in armour is a knight) was actually asleep. The snoring was him. That's why he looked so believably 'just woken up' with all the shouting... because he was.

Toward the end, you talked about the expression "Blood is thicker than water" The original meaning was reversed. The "water" was family, the water of birth. The blood was the blood you spill in combat. So, the people you spill blood with, and bleed for, are more family, than your actual family.
