Yay !!!!

Kirk Andrew Uhl II

It's good to see this channel grow! So fun 😄

Fraser

Great to hear the news of more content! Glad you are in a position where it’s possible

Danishprince

Lets go, Nattie G time!! - And that is a huge announcement, 4 Nattie G reactions a week is insane and I am SO happy :]

Ian

🥳 🥳

WackySwacky

Ah yes, the worst Marvel movie.

JediLounger

Alright guys and gals. The next movie. The fun begins. Go in dark Natalie. Look at nothing for Winter Soldier, and pay attention. Lots and lots of attention.

Andy Jordan

Cueing up my copy right now. I like this movie, even though I know it's not most people's favorite. It's particularly a really good movie for Loki, perhaps the best one for his overall character arc. Looking forward to this!

Steve J

agreed. Thor2/IM3 feels like Marvel was in a bit of sequel rut. Doesn't help they're sandwiched between Avengers and Winter Soldier, which are subjectively a couple of the best MCU entries.

Diiirk706

"I would pay for a show all about Loki"....

Darryl Low

So amazing that you are going to be increasing your content Nat, and everyone's so pleased that you will be getting the help you deserve 💛 The plot of this one's not the best, but as always, you enjoyed all the character moments and the humour. The Thor theme for this movie is one of my faves, and the score during the funeral scenes is so moving. Well done for spotting Stan "Can I get my shoe back?" Lee 😊 I was waiting for your reaction when Loki transformed at the end, and your OMG was perfect. Thanks for another great video Nat.

Andy Jordan

Great reaction, as always, and glad you were able to overall enjoy it. I understand why Thor is not everyone's favorite titled character, although personally, Thor's overall character arc through the end of Phase 3 is my personal favorite, although they're all great in their own ways. A couple points of clarification: Frigga was projecting a hologram of herself into Loki's cell, so she was really just having a conversation with him, although I really like your interpretation, and I never thought to see it that way; that would make him a little more like Gollum, and Loki is kind of the MCU's Gollum: a dynamic, complicated, mischievous character you empathize with and dread at the same time who gives you hope and then disappoints you over and over. Also, re: the dark elves, there are 5,000 years between convergences, so although Malekith was one of the few remaining dark elves when Bor defeated them during the last one, they had 5,000 years to the present day to gain in numbers again. I agree with everyone else - I think you're really going to love Cap 2. Thor has my personal favorite overall character arc, but of the titled characters, Steve is my favorite in general. Thanks again for all the smiles. Cheers, Nat!

I'm very excited we get more content and congratulations on your success and growth.

Thor 2 is one of the weakest, but even at its worst, the MCU is pretty okay. I don't think Thor 2 is bad, it's just not as great as the rest. Also, honestly, I think Winter Soldier is overhyped. Don't let the effusive praise raise your expectations SUPER high because I know other reactors who went in expecting to have their mind blown or something, and they came out disappointed because the movie couldn't possibly live up to the extreme hype of the commenters.

Randee Carreno

First of all, congratulations on the growth and success of your channel. 🎊🎉 I'm looking forward to two movies plus a TV series reaction a week. 😊 I've got my evening entertainment now planned: I'm going to watch this reaction. There's a few good moments in this movie that I'm looking forward to seeing your reaction to. I can't believe how much closer we are to "Captain America: The Winter Soldier". LOL! I'm so SUPER EXCITED for that one next. Until then, "Thor: The Dark World" ranks maybe in my top 20 just for a few scenes that I like. The third Thor movie is the best one. Stay Golden! 💛

Michael Cruse

About halfway through the movie, but I had to pop over and tell you that I find your tendency to talk to some characters with the actor's name instead of the character's very endearing :) I've loved Natalie Portman's work since she was just a kid in The Professional. Everyone's mileage varies, and for some people this movie didn't work for them. That's cool. Myself, while I find that some MCU movies resonated more than others, I have enjoyed every one of these 20-odd movies. And I find that really amazing. Anywho, *grabs another drink* *grabs another snack* *goes back to the movie*

Opti_Frog

I wouldn't go so far as to call The Dark World a misfire, but it's one of very few stumbles from Marvel. There is some fun stuff here but the plot and the villain are so very uninteresting. For me Loki, Darcy and to a certain extent Jane saves it. Three stars out of five.

Anonymous

Awesome vid! To answer some of your questions..... There's a tie in comic or something where they explain that Thor and Heimdall used the Tesseract to repair the Bifrost. And Frigga is the one who taught Loki his magic. The guy at the end was The Collector

Ian

Oh no ! but also YAY! lol you sure are funny nat :) loved that reaction , not a big fan of thor huh he will grow on you im sure Ragnarok is great ,cant wait for winter soldier its awesome

Anonymous

Speaking about you mentioning you like character arcs where they learn and grow, stay far far away from "Arrow". It would absolutely drive you insane seeing an entire cast that never learns anything! ;-)

The Golgothan

Throughout the MCU, Loki is the most beloved villain among the fanbase. He's also one of the few that aren't quickly forgotten as soon as the movie's over.

Troy B.

To be fair, Felicity Smoak learned some things. So did Ray Palmer.

Troy B.

Y'know for a bunch of elves who supposedly want to literally eliminate light from the universe, their ships have an awful lot of lights on them...

Dooly

The MCU’s best sleeping aid.

It Hurt A Lot

You're right in line with public perception of Loki. He definitely stole the spotlight from Thor. Even if you go to Marvel fan events, I would say Tom Hiddleston has more fangirls than anyone.

Justin S.

Glad to hear about having time for two movies a week. You could react to an MCU movie and then an outside film each week until you've finished all the MCU films up to this point. Of course, got to take a break sometimes as well. I'll post another big list of recommendations to Discord in the near future. Thor: The Dark World and The Incredible Hulk are considered by many to be the weakest movies in the MCU but still were entertaining at times and had their moments.

Sean

More content! 🤯

Anonymous

Glad to hear about more content coming!!! Begging you to double time on the MCU because HUGE things are happening right now with the new show they're putting out on disney plus! I fear if you don't catch up now you'll miss out on the magic of what's happening! and it'll prolly get spoiled like it was with me :(

Matthew Periolat

First of all, I must tease - I see the Marvel conditioning has still not taken and we are forgetting post credits. It’s fine, we’re now 23 movies deep and a lot of people still have not learned. I just sit back and smile and wait. ‘Tis well. Ohhhhhhhh, Lord yes, does Loki have his army of followers. Er, fan base. And very much the same reasons - he’s funny, he’s unpredictable and he’s a bad boy. Girls dig that for some reason, I don’t know why. In any case, you do like him. Good to know, duly noted for future reverence. As to this movie, I’ll concede that last fight is over the top, but entertaining. This is a weaker movie than the original Thor, this I also concede, but nothing truly awful. I personally put this ahead of Iron Man 3 in my pantheon. The good news is you are about to hit the biggest upswing in quality, so buckle up. I cannot WAIT for Winter Soldier! As to new characters and an expanding universe... that too can be arranged in the fullness of time. Until next time then.

Sean

Thor: Ragnarok is a shining star in the MCU. When you get to it, it'll make up for the first two. Also... there is a Loki series coming out... 👀 And you can pay for it on Disney+.

Anonymous

It was a fun watch :-) "Winter Soldier" is my favourite MCU movie, very much looking forward to that!!!

Luis R.

Loki is one of my all time favorites. What Tom does is amazing in my opinion. I like the Thor movies but upon rewatch I do think now it’s a lot like you in the fact that I like Loki so much. Great reaction excited for the next one for sure! 🤙🏼

Chris Gronau

As always, great reaction, Nat. Looking forward to your increased content. As for Winter Soldier, do me a favor and do *NOT* look at the DVD/Blu-ray box cover. There are **MAJOR** spoilers for the movie in the cover art. Aggravating, I know, but if you're going to watch it on disc, have someone else handle loading the disc so you don't see the cover art.....

Anonymous

The general sentiment is that Thor doesn’t really come into his own until his 3rd installment... so don’t sweat it if you aren’t on the Thor train until then. 😅

Holly R

While it's definitely one of the weakest of the MCU, the one thing this movie does do well is the Thor-Loki relationship. Loved that you were clearly focused on them, and your reactions were so wonderful to share. Also, I'll echo other's warnings about boxart/cover art/etc...best if you can go in as blind as possible. (heck, there's something in a much later MCU film that would be amazing if you could get to it without it being spoiled...but I doubt that, since it's front-and-center on the one sheet).

Brandon Scott

First, it wasn't a "plot hole." Sensing that someone is on a certain planet or on a certain continent or even in a certain HUGE building is probably very different that sensing someone and saying, "she's on the 32nd floor, four rooms over" or whatever. Then he got lighteninged in the face and had to bail. And second, how long is it supposed to take for a person to speak the words, "Queen Frigga is dead." Even if he added an, "I'm sorry." How long was it supposed to take?

It Hurt A Lot

I assume she'll watch it off Disney+ but this is still a great call. The cover art could be a problem going forward. I still get chills thinking about the second end credits scene for Winter Soldier

Anonymous

Why aren't we supposed to view it on Google drive?

Brandon Scott

Lol, It's NOT CONVENIENT, Lolol. They were IN London BECAUSE of the reading that Eric was getting. That's why they were there. You are like the queen of imaginary plot holes! Hahaha. Anyway. I really enjoyed this one, as always. I can't wait until you get caught up. With all the Disney+ shows that are linked to the MCU it will be great when you're caught up, is all.

It Hurt A Lot

I agree, Taika Waititi works his magic on Thor in Ragnarok. This is when he became super lovable to me

Darryl Low

Just so that more people can watch it when Natalie first uploads it. If you download it and watch it from your hard drive, it frees up Google drive so that more folks can access it.

Ron K

People talk a lot of crap about Dark World. It was not the best MCU movie. But bottom line you can't not enjoy Hemsworth and Hiddleston playing two Norse Gods but they still act like to brothers who don't get along.

John

They aren't in London by coincidence. They went to London specifically following those gravimetric readings. That's where the anomalies started appearing, so it makes sense that is where the convergence would be centered on Earth. Also Natalie Portman wasn't activating the portals by feel or sense. She was looking at the reading on that device and tracking what was happening so she knew when to trigger them. They showed what she was looking at on the screen a few times early on so you'd know what was happening later. In the scene where Frigga is killed, you noticed that she also knows magic. She's the one who taught Loki magic in the first place. There's a deleted scene that mentions she taught him magic, and it also shows that Loki didn't conjure the image of Frigga to talk to in his cell - Frigga was actually visiting him. It was an Asgard version of a Zoom call. https://youtu.be/UcoNxqkyGTQ

Texas Anla'Shok

When we start going through all the portals, I started thinking that all that was missing was a sarcastic computer voice telling us that we're NOT good PEOple, beCAUSE good PEOple don't wind up IN places LIKE this, so WE must be terRIBle PEOple. And ALL the CAKE is gone. You don't EVen CARE do YOU?

LudicDave

I feel like your problem with this movie was mainly that Thor 2 is an exposition-heavy movie, and you were constantly talking over important expository dialogue. Including where Odin made it clear that this was an infinity stone, which is the whole reason for this movie to exist: Setting up another of the infinity stones for later movies. This lead to so many "wait I'm confused" moments that it got pretty painful. And just illogical reactions at times. Like not realizing the fighter jets were being sent to fire at the giant dark elf ship hanging over the city, or why Thor and Malekith were sent to another planet during the convergence of planets. I get that it's a reaction, but when you're missing important plot points, it will ruin the movie for you. I think a fair warning for the coming movies are in order. Ultimately this movie is unimportant except to introduce the Aether and The Collector, but missing significant parts of the plot in most of the coming MCU movies will seriously impact your enjoyment of the subsequent films. Particularly in Captain America 2-3, and Avengers 2, which are also somewhat heavy on exposition.

Chris Lane- Venturi 3D

Thor definitely gets more likeable in the later films. Also, congrats, you've just passed the lower portion of the MCU films. IMO they nearly all get better from here!

This_Jedi_crafts

Oh my GOSH - more great "Natalie quotes!" "The rainbow bridge - isn't it the rainbow bridge? and "Is Thor depressed?" ...and my FAV of this viewing - "she got that dark energy all up IN her SOUL!" Hysterical. Collector is part of The Guardians of the Galaxy venture into the saga (but others have probably shared that). Thor Ragnarok, ROCKS. Give Thor a chance. Captain America: Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War - two of my absolute FAV's of the MCU!! I'm so excited to see Nat's reaction!

Andrew Dickinson

"Can we have a Loki series..." ermmmm :)

We need to get these on T-shirts, mugs, stationary, hats... STAT!

Quarty

Got my drink. Got my snack. Let's GOOOOOO!"

john collins

I Loooooove all your reactions! especially marvel! But I am SO hyped to see how you react to all of the things to come in the mcu and I hope you don't take super long breaks between them because there are a lot and I'm sure you'd love to get caught up so you can react to the newest things as they come out (loki tv show coming this summer btw)

Nicholas Hentges

I liked this one more than other people, but when comparing it to the rest if the MCU, it is probably near the bottom. That is mostly just because the rest of them have such high quality though. It was also pretty confusing for a casual viewer, a lot of it came down to the universe blurring lines between worlds and that is why everything appears to be focused in London, it is just a focal point of the convergence. The movie also didnt help itself by giving one line explanations for things like why Jane was even in London to begin with or how heimdall's, frigga's, and loki's powers work. Glosses over the recreation of the bifrost as well, think it had to do with bringing the 9 realms to peace, but I cant remember. All in all it's better than some give it credit for, but still not one of the best in the MCU. Honestly, you're just now about to get into the really good stuff (with an exception or two) moving forward.

Joe Blankenship

How about all Marvel movies in March? March Marvel. Marvelous March? Just an idea.

Misty Crom

The restaurant Jane was at with Chris O'Dowd was at the OXO Tower. Also, seeing Malakith's ship destroy parts of the Naval College, I kind of got how you felt when that train station got destroyed in The Avengers.

Misty Crom

Also, that woman did NOT give Thor good directions at-all! Charing Cross is nowhere near Greenwhich. 3 stops, sure. and then 2 line changes You're looking at like an hour.

John

Nat, do you watch with subtitles on? I love your reactions but you do miss important information during a lot of dialog scenes if you're commenting on something else. I don't want you to just sit there and stare at the screen. I enjoy your reaction style, but I am concerned you may miss out on a lot that could make the movies much more enjoyable, not to mention make more sense.

Anonymous

Loki truly is one of the best characters in the MCU.

Nicotti

Natalie, if you really like character growth and story arcs that play out over multiple seasons I recommend watching Babylon 5 on HBO Max, even if you don't put out reaction videos to to it. It originally came out in the mid-90's so the cgi might look a little dated. JMS, who was one of the writers for the first Thor movie, produced and write B5. It's an amazing show!

AC5555

I see myself the most in Cap. But yes he's so hilarious! Loki: Now they're firing at us! Thor: Yes, thank you for the commentary, Loki. It isn't at all distracting. Loki: I think you missed a colum Thor: Shut up!

Thomas Malley

Should we set up some sort of torrent system so we don't have to deal with the hug of death everytime Natalie posts a video? Google says the file has been downloaded too many times, and it has been played back too many times.... :(

Anonymous

MHO,The BEST MCU movie to date.Robert Redford as a villain ,for a FIRST time.If you want to catch HIS best movies...Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and Jaramiah Johnson a great jump on.Classics!!!

Alan Kobb

Not a bad idea, but I'm hoping that Natalie is looking into doing sometihng to help alleviate the problem. If not, then maybe that's a good alternative.

Cory Silver

You might want to take the stairs to your left - Loki's most regretted words. He sent the Dark Elves right to his mother. The scene where Loki pretends to be fine when he's emotionally devastated is my favorite in the movie. Also Loki was talking to his actual mom in jail, and not just an illusion he created. This movie had amazing music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quh3SHw0ruI If anyone ever sees this comment, click the link!
