The mysterious character at the very end of the episode (who we only see his legs) is speculated to be Boba Fett - the bounty hunter who captured Han Solo and son of clone template Jango. Boba “died” in the Sarlaac pit on Tatooine in Return Of The Jedi, but it is speculated he survived. The jangles as he is walking seem to indicate it is Boba Fett but it hasn’t been confirmed.

Welcome back to Tatooine! "I grew up here, you know?" "You're gonna die here, you know ... convenient." Oh, and love Amy Sedaris!

They don't use green screens to film the series. They use an elaborate projection technology that wraps around and above the actors and uses motion tracking to simulate perspective changes. This allows for realtime projection and lighting for the actors and the camera. 99% of this was filmed in a studio and the other parts were filmed in a parking lot. There's video about it on the behind the scenes videos on Disney+

Why is the lush greenery from the logo covering up the video in the lower left corner? One can’t see what is being reacted to.

Ron K

The videos Sword Monkey is referring to is on a documentary series on Disney+ called Gallery I think. Great documentary. Each episode covers a different aspect of production on The Mandalorian.

That is the hole point. It is illegal to show the show itself.

Thomas Malley

But the movie isn’t blocked in any of the other ones. At least not on YouTube. Maybe it’s a Vimeo thing? How do you know what she’s reacting to then? How do you match it up, when her reaction video is an edited down version? You wouldn’t know which parts is which, unless there was a time code present you can use to find the part she’s watching with.

Youtube is a cut down version. Here you get full reactions. You use your own copy and play along side her.

I just loved the visual and music of the speeder bike ride. Mandalorian is such a great series, so I’m glad you’reh enjoying it. Also awesome you’re able to start upgrading your tech ! :)

Sam Kimpton

They're not using digital projectors. They're using LED displays that wrap around the set. No projection required.

Yes Green Screens are out and VR is in now

Hey Natalie, the in-camera effects (now referred to as, "virtual production") were created using ILM's new tech, StageCraft. Here's a video of how it works (maybe don't watch the video until you finish Season 1 because of possible spoilers): https://youtu.be/gUnxzVOs3rk Also, there's a nice article on indiewire about the tech: https://www.indiewire.com/2020/02/the-mandalorian-ilm-stagecraft-1202212389/

You're just amazing. #GoldenForever

<3 if you want to see Natalie react to SC 38 Reimagined by FXItInPost. :)

Richard Ryan, this is a really good idea. It’s only a 5 minute clip, and it would be a great little “extra” for Natalie to do, as a bit of a bonus. A bit like when she did Spaceballs. I was blown away by SC38. Absolutely blown away by it.

But other reactors put their full video up on Patreon directly and it isn’t censored for copyright issues. I get she’s new to this, but someone needs to show her how to put it up here so she doesn’t have to deal with that stuff through YT or Vimeo or anywhere.

Thank you for the videos I am such a huge fan, reacting to you're video because of your comment, if you want to see more of Ming-Na Wen you should watch Agents of Shield when you finish watching Firefly... Still watching so awesome!
