Hey guys!

After watching "Alien" and "Aliens" I'll be looking to start a series to do long term. Of course I'll still sprinkle in different movies to vary things up and give you guys stuff to vote on as well. But I would love to know of any suggestions you may have for TV shows to watch!

I've listed below the series I've seen mentioned the most. If you don't see one you like listed, please let me know about it! A new poll will be coming after my Alien reaction is posted (I'm watching it tonight and I'm SO ANXIOUS!! haha)

Series Mentioned Consistently

Avatar the Last Airbender

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Chernobyl

Firefly

Game of Thrones

Once Upon a Time

Stranger Things

The Clone Wars

The Expanse

The Mandalorian

Comments

Drew

Black Sails and Vikings are must see.

Anonymous

Better Call Saul!

Anonymous

I would also recommend Sons of Anarchy! One of my all time favorites!

Anonymous

Game of thrones 100%. The series as a whole is great and I’d definitely rebinge it with your reactions lol

Anonymous

Band Of Brothers please.

Anonymous

Sherlock

SplinterTME

Buffy the Vampire Slayer or The Mandalorian

MotoDork

FIREFLY. End of story.

Caleb Harvey

Mr Monk & the crown you'll enjoy these

Anonymous

The Mandalorian and The Expanse are BY FAR the best options on this list. Clone Wars is good, but long and serialized so there are plenty of expisodes you could skip and miss almost no plot. Everyone has seen/reviewed GoT so there wouldn’t be much unique there. I support the commenters who put Black Sails, Vikings, and Sherlock too. Picking an anime show like Avatar will really limit your potential audience. IMHO

Anonymous

Man, I'm really stuck between Avatar the last air bender, and Clone Wars... however for me personally starwars always wins 😂, so I'd go for clone wars, it's a brilliant series and you enjoyed starwars. However if you want something of a change I'd definitely suggest going for Avatar!!

mrhalfbit

Breaking Bad Lost The Office

Anonymous

Chernobyl is so shocking especially how it all really happened..... just......ya know....... there's a part with nude dudes fyi

Emilio Elenes

Chernobyl! Just one season but quality over quantity is the motto. I think it will truly get some amazing reactions out of you.

Anonymous

Doctor Who Firefly Farscape

Matthew Jaszyn

Mandalorian should be done after Clone Wars and Rebels so you understand some things. Avatar is an AMAZING show, but it is VERY difficult to do reactions to because of how Viacom is waay too overprotective! Definitely would love to see you do Chernobyl or the Marvel shows on Netflix (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders and The Punisher).

acidnova

Is there any particular mood you're looking for? Would you be open to half hour comedies? I'd love to see your reaction to The Good Place if you haven't already seen it.

E

Clone Wars

E

Clone Wars is long term stuff, can probably watch it while watching another shorter show!

Anonymous

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Anonymous

Chernobyl!!!!! Game of Thrones but so many episodes! And Stranger Things for some good scares and laughs 😉

E

Band of Brothers!

Anonymous

Band of Brothers

Anonymous

Of this list, I’ve only ever seen Stranger Things, so I pick that one by default. Lol The Haunting of Hill House should be taken into consideration as well.

Anonymous

I would love to watch you react to Breaking Bad! It's a fantastic show with amazing storytelling. It's by far my favorite show and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Anonymous

Star Trek: The Next Generation

Anonymous

Depends how long of a series you're looking for. Firefly is exceptional but short as it only has one season, whereas something like The Clone Wars is fantastic but there's A LOT. As for shows not listed, I highly recommend Battlestar Galactica (the 2004 version).

Robert Kelly

The Mandalorian and The Expanse. Mandalorian first

Elisa H.

Firefly and stranger things would be excellent plus they are shorter than some others so u can actually compete them at a good pace. And u haven't seen Buffy wow, that one is of course LONGER but a pivotal show

Anonymous

Killing Eve Fringe Twin Peaks Penny Deadful True Detective Halt and Catch Fire Westworld

Calo Grsf

Vikings, The Expanse and Band of Brothers

Anonymous

South Park!!!!

Endling_king

Lucifer is a great show. Also firefly is great and has a movie to go with it as well (but watch the series first before the movie). Also any of the stargate shows / movies. And my final suggestion would be to go with the mandalorian.

Neil Silverman

I've seen most of these, and you can't go wrong. I'd add Farscape to the list - possibly the best sci-fi show ever, IMO.

Fraser

Would be good to know what shows you haven’t seen or if you have a preference?

Chandler McCoy

Breaking Bad, avatar, and the Mandalorian top my list

Anonymous

Band of Brothers. Easily one of the best series of all time. Lucifer is a really fun watch.

Anonymous

Anonymous

Honestly, Game of Thrones will get great reactions from you. A lot of hands to the chest 😂😂

Anonymous

Definitely Game of Thrones

Alexa Chipman

Mandalorian or Dollhouse

Anonymous

The Magicians. I love that show SO MUCH.

Anonymous

Star Wars:Rebels

Anonymous

Star wars rebels

Anonymous

Check out some limited/anthology/miniseries! I HIGHLY recommend The Terror season 1 and Chernobyl. Also back Firefly as a good pick.

Anonymous

Lucifer!

Anonymous

Firefly! It's only one season then a movie so that would be an easy one to get out of the way. The Expanse is amazing, especially if you like sci-fi and drama

Anonymous

I love clone wars but agree with people above its suuuuuuper long. Maybe if you just watched the "critical" episodes. There are lists online. Mandalorian is super fun. Hope you do see it You don't have to watch anything before it.... It helps but they made it for even non fans to get into. Would agree with others Breaking Bad / Better call Saul are must sees. They are possibly the best written dramas of our time.

Anonymous

Twin peaks, stranger things, twilight zone, sons of anarchy, vikings, game of thrones, Outlander, salem. There are too Many

Anonymous

I can't believe D A R K (Netflix) is not on that list! 😱 Other than that, Chernobyl is great, as is the Mandalorian.

Anonymous

The Expanse. Hands down, best thing on Amazon right now. Firefly is also required viewing for anyone into scifi/space westerns

Danishprince

Avatar the Last Airbender for sure! It's top tier, lighthearted and fun but has so many great characters and moments!

Anonymous

Game of Thrones is a long ride, but it's an absurdly good show. So it's worth the time. Stranger Things is also amazing. It's one of those shows that pulls you in to the point that you don't want the episodes to end. The Expanse is an exceptional show as well.

Anonymous

You have to watch Firefly in the right order though. The network torpedoed the series by releasing it out of order.

Anonymous

Breaking Bad! :)

Anonymous

I would go for The Wire, arguably the best show ever made, one with a long last legacy that is still taught at universities. The Wire isn't the most digestible or easily accessible of shows, but it is by far the most rewarding. It ignores almost all TV tropes and cliches you are used to. Cops, drug dealers, gangsters, drug addicts, politicians, homeless people, everyone on the show is treated equally and given equal care and attention. There are no clear cut good guys and bad guys. There is a reason a decade after it finished it is still considered the best show of all time. I could go on and on rambling about it and why it's worth everyone's time, but I'll just throw that out there as an option for you!

Sarlacc1979

The Witcher and Battle Star Galactica (2004). Chernobly, Firefly, The Mandalorian, and Stranger Things are all fantastic shows with (unfortunately) few episodes compared to other series.

Andy Jordan

I know I'm going to be the only one suggesting this show, but it needs to be shouted out regardless: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. A wide-ranging musical show about mental disorders that is complex, highly intelligent, super funny, and uniquely honest and vulnerable. There's nothing like it, and it spoke to me and the difficulties I face with autism. Rachel Bloom's character suffers from a different disorder, but it's partially about the stigmatization of mental disorders, regardless of what they are. Also, the last line of the series was written before they filmed anything, so unlike a lot of other shows, they had a clear vision of where they were going from the very beginning; they had a four-season arc planned out, and even though the CW kept asking them to write more seasons after it got so well-received, they said "No, we're not overstaying our welcome. Four seasons we've already mapped out, and we're done." It's a gem and there's nothing else like it.

Anonymous

The Expanse please!

Anonymous

Clone Wars is an absolutely massive show. I wouldn’t watch it on your channel, unless you want to spend the next year or two editing clips from the same show. Game of Thrones would be more manageable, and for the most part is an excellent show, and the same goes for Stranger Things; may I also recommend the Witcher?

Reggie Clark

Do you mind watching a series that hasn't ended yet? Or would you rather watch one that is completed?

Joel P

I'm not interested in any of these, to be honest. But I would like to see your reaction to Breaking Bad if haven't already seen it.

Anonymous

Game of Thrones would very much suit your style and format really well!

Michel Ferreira

THE EXPANSE is easily one of the best shows and sci-fi on TV right now. It is amazing (and the books are also amazing). Both the series and the books are everything that Game of Thrones wished it was. So The Expanse for sure! AVATAR the last airbender is also an amazing series and it is only 3 seasons so it could be finished relatively early. My 3rd pick would be CHERNOBYL, amazing mini-series. You prob already now this but lots of youtube reactors have issues with Avatar. Almost all videos are blocked even if only a minute or 2 of the episode is displayed, so most reactors moved their Avatar reactions to Vimeo for example. Patreon videos shouldn't be an issue though.

Kitty Lover

Once Upon A Time!!!!!!!! ❤️😊

Anonymous

Mandalorian or The Clone wars. Mandalorian Pros: Only one season The Clone Wars Cons: Is 7 season and while GREAT, has lots of filler.

Anonymous

Alright, quick and to the point. Parks and Recreation, Superstore, and My Name is Earl.

Gath Bard

Parks and Recreation

JSounds

oh my goddddd, if you watch OUAT I'll lose my goddamn mind

Anonymous

Firefly followed by Serenity are my suggestions to watch.

Caleb Clark

I second Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and I’ll add in Adventure Time, and Over The Garden Wall (if you are interested in a mini series)

Anonymous

Game of Thrones if you really mean long term but Breaking Bad is a good alt. It took me three attempts to get past S1.

Anonymous

Fleabag is amazing if you are looking for a comedy and is a short commitment.

TorontoHobbit

My suggestions: Lucifer, LOST, Battlestar Galactica. If you pick a show that I haven't seen, I'll just have to follow along with you! I've also noticed that a lot of Media Reactors have several TV shows going at once...

acidnova

If you ever watch Twin Peaks it needs to be in release order: Seasons 1-2, then the movie Fire Walk with Me, then Twin Peaks the Return (sometimes referred to as season 3).

Anonymous

Stranger Things is rly good. Another series that's also amazing is The Boys. It's an Amazon Prime original and it's about a world where a team of "superheroes" like Justice League are owned by a corporation and are actually the villains

master_octagon

You should definitely separate these by which genre you wanna explore bc all these shows are long, will take awhile, and are all VERY different lol. Also other shows: Steven Universe, Brooklyn Nine Nine, or Watchman (but I'd recommend reading the graphic novel 1st for this last one)

John

Chernobyl is only a mini-series so if you're looking for something not too long, it's a good choice. I have another vote for FIrefly followed by the movie Serenity.

acidnova

Seconding Fleabag. Also definitely consider shows that haven't already been done by a ton of reactors. It's nice to see some more variety out there :)

CyrusB

Firefly is a perfect choice, Natalie. It sounds crazy, "Cowboys in Space" You won't believe how exciting, adventurous, and extremely funny it is. It is amazingly good. Also, it's short, so you can watch it and finish it.

CyrusB

So excited to see you're watching Aliens... Alien is long dark night of the soul; Aliens is when that night says, "We're going to kick alien butt!"

Jeffrey Searcy

Supernatural,Battlestar Galactica reboot, Avatar The Last Airbender( one of the greatest tv series of all time imo), Star Wars Rebels, and Clone Wars.

Wesley Hale

Avatar for sure. I’m sure people would subscribe to you just for that, it’s an amazing show

David Martin

Stranger Things, Watchmen, Breaking Bad would be my top picks....I haven’t gotten to a lot of these so I would be watching for this e first time as well

Anonymous

Star Trek: the Original Series. Look past the cheesy sets and enjoy the stories. Mostly. (except "Spock's Brain": woof.)

Edwin Wickey

Haunting of Hill House

Anonymous

Game of Thrones would be a massive commitment!! However the content would be golden as there is so much to react to! It's also one of the most popular and highest rated TV shows around so I am sure you'd attract plenty of views

Robert Reichle

Firefly is the best TV show ever on that only lasted one season. Only cancelled because the network kept shuffling their schedule and giving it weeks off to show other things. Then the movie to wrap it all up is SOOOO good. I think this one is the biggest bang for your buck. About 15 episodes and a movie. Some of the other shows would require a commitment that would take you into 2021.

Anonymous

I think you would really enjoy Good Omens — great acting, hilarious writing and utterly heartwarming. If you’re going to do any long series I’d agree with the suggestion to break it up and have a few on the go at once.

Anonymous

Primeval please! My fav. It's like Jurassic Park combined with Dr. Who haha. Watch the original though, not the spinoff (unless after) It's 5 seasons but the seaons are short... 6-10 episodes per season.

Josh Murphy

The Witcher: fantasy, fun, some ethical/morality questions about good/evil etc.. Breaking Bad: imo the best show ever made Game of Thrones. This one will be a long ride, and season 8 wasn’t what it could have been, but overall well worth watching and (minus season 8) a top 10 show (IMO)

callum

It blows my mind how no one ever mentions The Sopranos. Its the greatest TV show ever made and ushered in the golden age of television.

Erik Lundmark

In a flickr of despair, I say again: Twin Peaks

Anonymous

Firefly, definitely. It's one of the best sci-fi series I've ever seen and so unique.

Henry from CO

1. The Mandalorian 2. Firefly/Serenity 3. Stranger Things

Dan Hughes

The Venture Bros. is a great show to watch.

Jack the Narrator

Some series that are masterfully told and acted include PEAKY BLINDERS, THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE, the Netflix mini-series MANIAC, MINDHUNTER, ROME, THE ORVILLE (if you're looking for something more light-hearted), BAND OF BROTHERS, PENNY DREADFUL, TRUE DETECTIVE, BANSHEE, THE KNICK and MR. ROBOT. Among the series on your current list, FIREFLY, THE MANDOLORIAN, CHERNOBYL, and THE EXPANSE are the most rewarding. The first 3 seasons of GAME OF THRONES are sublime, but begin to slowly go downhill after that until it crashes and burns. Only the first season of STRANGER THINGS is worth watching (Season 3 is an abomination), imho.

Anonymous

1 avatar 2 stranger things 3 The expanse

Anonymous

Chernobyl without any question 👌🏻👌🏻 an exquisite mini-series based on true events

Anonymous

Avatar is my #1 recommendation, but they're pretty harsh on their copyright claims; have someone you know look at other channels reacting to the show to see how they avoid claims. I really enjoyed this channel's reaction (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofj0FMkJ8xg), as they had someone who knew the show tell them what episodes to watch "offline" and what episodes to record their reactions. You don't necessarily need to do it one season at a time as they have, but you could certainly do 3+ episodes per video. Avatar: TLA has amazing character arcs and world-building. There is a perfect blend of emotion and humor. It's American made, but it pulls in deep philosophical concepts from eastern cultures. Look, just watch it; I'd love to see you react to it, but you should just watch it. Everyone needs some Uncle Iroh in their life.

Anonymous

Like British humor? 1. The IT Crowd 2. One or more seasons of Blackadder 3. Coupling 4. The Office (British)

Anonymous

Firefly would be my first choice. Avatar is also excellent. Penny Dreadful provides the most insightful version of Frankenstein’s monster that I have ever seen.

Anonymous

If you're looking for a single series long-term, The Clone Wars (133 episodes over 7 seasons) and Avatar: The Last Airbender (61 episodes over 3 seasons) would be my vote; since you said you have Disney+, Clone Wars would be the cheaper/easier choice. Star Trek (Next Generation/Deep Space 9) would also be interesting long-term options as well. If you want to do shorter/more varied TV series, Mandalorian (8 episodes so far with likely another 8 coming in November) would be good, as well as the newly released She-Ra reboot (52 episodes total).

Anonymous

I’d say Chernobyl and Mandalorian are musts. I’d also suggest Band of Brothers, as another great HBO mini-series based on real events and real people.

Michael G. Munz

Farscape (definitely Farscape), Firefly, and Twin Peaks if you're up for some weird David Lynch/Mark Frost...stuff.

Matthew Periolat

The Clone Wars and Rebels are musts for Star Wars, plus Mandalorian. Buffy and Angel are good. If you are curious and in for a long haul, Smallville, Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Black Lightning and Batwoman. But THAT is asking a lot. X-Files or Lost I’d also plead cases for as well as Once Upon a Time.

Joe

Avatar TLA needs to be your top priority. You must bare witness to one of TV’s greatest accomplishments!

Robert Reichle

Sounds like a whole lot of people asking for the same cartoon series that everyone else on YouTube is reacting to. Variety is good.

Tom Evans

Firefly, Chernobyl, Stranger Things and The Mandalorian would be great choices IMO. If I was you I would think carefully before starting a very long series with a lot of episodes like The Clone Wars or Buffy. It's a big commitment and can become like an anchor that you're stuck with for a long time. There are so many good shows that are more manageable like the ones I mentioned, especially since you are just starting out.

Shyam Nair

Chernobyl, Game of Thrones, Peaky Blinders, Breaking Bad, The Last Kingdom, Band of Brothers

Malamute

Farscape. :-)

Anonymous

Mandalorian!

Anonymous

game of thrones--but that will take too long--so mandalorian--only 8 eps and they go fast---and you'll be ready for season 2 when it airs "live"

Anonymous

Besides some of the great things already mentioned ... here are some shows I like ... Sci-fi shows I like: Fringe, Travelers, Star Trek (huge time investment, but lots of fun), Person of Interest (sort of psudo-scifi), The 4400, Stargate SG-1, Dollhouse, Doctor Who Great comedies: Community, The Office, Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, The Good Place My up-votes for ones mentioned already: Once Upon a Time, The Mandalorian, Stranger Things, The Clone Wars, Avatar TLA, Farscape ... you have your work cut out for you no matter what you pick. lol. Good luck!

Anonymous

The Leftovers, Lost, Gravity Falls

Anonymous

Avatar TLA is such an amazing show.

Anonymous

Chernobyl, Firefly, The Expanse are really good. Game of Thrones was great but I can't recommend it because it ended sooooo poorly. And The Mandalorian is good too, but it's only one season so far. Other recommendations are Parks and Rec, Star Trek (though the original series is a super slow burn, I'd only recommend if you're an old timey Sci-Fi fan. The Next Generation got really good, as did DS9 and Voyager. As for movies, I'm a huge Sci-Fan and would love to see what you think of things like; Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Interstellar, Apollo 13 and maybe even the new Star Trek movies. They're not really "Star Trek", but they're entertaining.

A.J. Workman

Just thought I’d throw in my two cents. Westworld, haunting of hill house, XFiles, the marvelous mrs. maisel. I also agree with the earlier comment that if you are interested in tremendous emotional sci-fintyoe films, Arrival, Annihilation and Interstellar would definitely be up your alley. Three of the best sci-fi films of all time all made within a few years of each other

Vincent Valentin

Buffy will get you a lot of new subs. we're crazy lamo.

Masterdude94

How about Avatar The Last Airbender, and The Legend of Korra? They are great shows, that some people, myself included, only just started watching.

Nicholas Sulikowski

Star Wars: The Clone Wars is collectively amazing....but I would preface that with saying that the first couple seasons are definitely for kids. Some of it is pretty silly. Some holds up. The Clone Wars movie....is not great. But it introduces Ahsoka Tano. A character that in my opinion, slowly goes from annoying to endearing. And so in general, should you choose to watch The Clone Wars, then do your best to work your way through the film and the first couple seasons. There's some good stuff in the first two seasons, but season three and onwards is where it really it kicks into high gear. By the end of the show, it really is a mature show, and is absolutely worth finishing. Much of the series did a great job giving us the kind of character development that we would have hoped the films would have given us. We get a much more gradual slide of Anakin to the dark side, his relationship with Padme is better explored and their love seems more real. The slow turn from the galaxy to trusting the Jedi to thinking they have lost their way is better presented. And so on. And mind you, this is just my jaded take. I've known people that tell me, "What are you talking about? The show was great right out of the gate!"

Anonymous

The Mandalorian or Firefly Some of the suggestions are long so it'd take ages for videos for each of them to all be posted up here

Anonymous

I second Dark. With 26 episodes it‘s not as huge a time invest as many other shows. Also it‘s amazing.

Ian Forbes

Band of Brothers. 10 episodes and both extremely well done but also valuable info about one company’s journey through WWII.

Tom Fehr

oh without a doubt of those, Game of Thrones is going to be the best show to watch and react to. I would also be thrilled with Buffy, Breaking Bad, Lost, Ozark. LOST is a great one to react to if you missed that when it aired.

TommyTwoLegs

If you're looking for a smaller commitment: Mandalorian or Chernobyl. If you wanna go big: Game of Thrones. The other big series are terrific, but I'd argue Thrones has the most potential for proper holy-fuck-wtf-just-happened reactions. And after all, that's what reaction vids are gunning for.

Anonymous

Definitely Mandalorian or Firefly

Garrick Smalley

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is 7 years of 22 episodes each, Firefly is 13 episodes total, Avatar is 3 seasons of 20 twenty+ minute episodes. ALL are some of the best TV you will find. I would suggest watching Firefly first mostly because I want to see you face when... . ;) said a Browncoat.

Gary Poussard

I agree with Buffy And Firefly.

Alita

I love Supernatural! So that is one series I would suggest to you!

YYZHawk

Chernobyl! It's quite short and it's easily one of the best shows ever made. Highly recommended, can't go wrong with it.

Nerd Going Outside

The Wire. The Wire is always #1. Hugely popular, amazing series, and basically no reactions to it? Maybe because it isn't genre. Genre stuff though Firefly The Wire Battlestar Galactica - can try the miniseries first to see if you enjoy it and have an audience for it.

Hans Olav

Buffy!

Jiří Svašek

Personally I think reacting to quality movies is better content.

TaLy___

Chernobyl or Game of Thrones

TaLy___

They are great movies and also they are great TV series :)

Anonymous

Battlestar Galactica - Kind of a misunderstood show for people that don't know what exactly it is. However, it is VERY highly rated by both fans and critics alike, and it basically defined the sci-fi genre in the mid-2000s.

Anonymous

Star Trek: Enterprise - A great show, and a great jumping on point for aspiring Trekkies, since it's a prequel series. Imo, not appreciated enough, and kind of misremembered even by Trekkies. As a side note I would personally recommend watching the movie 'Star Trek: First Contact' and THEN starting 'Enterprise'. Some people might call this sacrilege, but it is a good enough movie to stand on it's own, even if you don't know the characters or are 100% in the know about the plot. However the movie does basically show you the defining events that lead into 'Enterprise'

Anonymous

Doctor Who(2005) - You really can't go wrong with this show. It's a bit campy and weird, especially in the beginning, and it is very British but it's absolutely fantastic. Bring the tissues, BTW.

Anonymous

And of course I have to recommend Stargate SG1. It's one of the most well regarded sci fi shows ever, and it lasted 10 seasons and 2 movies, with 2 spin off shows that add another 7 seasons. One of which is really really good(Atlantis). If you watch SG1 you HAVE to watch the original 1994 movie 'Stargate', since SG1 is a spin off and continuation of the movie.

Anonymous

And I know you aren't asking for movie suggestions here but I'll recommend the recent Star Trek movie trilogy, starting with 'Star Trek(2009)' . The second movie is a bit trash. But 1 and 3 are good movies. These movies are also a great jumping on point for Star Trek if you're a Star Wars fan, because basically these 3 movies were made in the style of Star Wars, and borrow heavily from it.

Anonymous

Supernatural!

PickettsChargingPort

You've got several here that are good picks. My only request is not to take something with a ton of episodes. Otherwise, if someone doesn't like the pick, they need to wait forever for you to finish watching it to see something else. My picks would be The Mandalorian, Chernobyl, Firefly. If you want to go long, buffy and/or the clone wars

Anonymous

Chernobyl is a great series! Highly recommend it.

Dave M.

STRANGER THINGS!!!!!! My favorite Netflix show of all time!!!!

Anonymous

Exactly. Most of these suggestions are the same old boring things that every other channel already does.

Anonymous

She's not going to sit through 7 seasons for a handful of good episodes.

Anonymous

Here are some of my suggestions- Band of Brothers: As good as anything ever put to film. HBO WWII mini-series | Cowboy Bebop: Awesome show and great gateway anime show if you haven't watched anime yet. Plus there's a live action version coming to Netflix and if you like it you could watch that after | Psych: Funny psychic detective buddy dramedy... Tons and tons of pop culture references | Mr. Bean: Funny British comedy with little dialogue... Mostly physical comedy and sight gags... There are also two Mr. Bean movies | Parks and Recreation: Awesome feel-good workplace comedy | Breaking Bad: Probably my favorite serialized drama series. It's perfectly executed | It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Edgy comedy series going on I think it's 15th or so season. Has some of the funniest moments ever. I literally fell out of my chair once watching it. | The Wire: HBO crime/detective show, you'll see it often called the best drama of all-time | Star Trek: The Next Generation |

Anonymous

Good stuff here. I agree about Game of Thrones. I'd avoid it for now. Once the showrunners caught up to the book and had to come up with their own stuff it fell apart.

Anonymous

Have to watch the mini-series first anyway for BG as it's the pilot too.

Anonymous

If you are looking for a serious drama with amazing effects and a big dose of history then CHERNOBYL will be an incredibly satisfying experiance. Though it be only one season the story is horrifyingly sad, yet impactful in the message that the story tells. "What is the cost of lies?" And it's short so you can move on quickly. ;)

Texadan

Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly

Anonymous

Firefly! A wonderful sci-fi show with wit and comedic elements, it's just a fun show to watch!

Anders Pettersson

From the choices i would say Firefly or GoT but like to add Vikings, Band of Brothers, Black sails to the list

Dan Tydeman

I would love to see you do GoT, it's such a great series to react to! but the Mandalorian and Chernobyl are also great.

Anonymous

Band of Brothers or Firefly. Fantastic stuff!

Anonymous

Let's see. From your list I'd be all about these. 1) Firefly - 1 season and ends with a movie. be sure to get the order right. The channel didn't air the episodes in order, which had a hand in the show only lasting one season. Too bad also, cause this show had potential. 2) Stranger Things - Just a good show all around. 3) Clone Wars - Starts with a movie, ends with a series. This show starts off a little shaky, but as it progressed and matured, it really found it's footing. Starts off OK but ends up as a great watch. The Mandalorian - Great show! Fantastic start to the Star Wars Live action TV empire. See what I did there?

Anonymous

Although Game of Thrones and The Madalorian are both fantastic. Ok I'm of no help. Lol

Anonymous

As for shows not on the list, I'd say Star Trek: The Original Series - You need to see how it all started. This opens up a gold pressed latinum mine of shows, episodes, and movies, and you may reignite the Star Wars VS Star Trek debate, but there is room for more than one star-ship in the sky. X-Files - Many seasons and 2 movies. Overall a great show. Anything from Monty Python- Comedy today would be something completely different without these guys. That's some stuff to mull over.

Anonymous

The most recent movies take place in an alternate timeline. She should watch the originals first to fully grasp the changes in the newer movies.

nataliegold

I LOVE THE GOOD PLACE haha I'm really into comedies, but will try pretty much anything

nataliegold

I've already seen it :/ It's wonderful, but I don't think my reactions would be that good since I already know a lot of what happens

nataliegold

No preference! I'm very familiar with comedic shows like Parks & Rec/The Office/Seinfeld/Cheers. Have also seen some classics like Breaking Bad, but there's a lot I haven't seen as well

Anonymous

The Good Place. 4 seasons. 13, 22-minute episodes a piece. It'll hit you right in the feels. The finale, in particular, is one of the best series finales of all time.

nataliegold

I will at some point! Just trying to vary things up for right now

Anonymous

I don't know if you like cartoons, but i think you would love Avatar a lot. The characters are well developed and so endearing. I really do think you would fall in love with the characters. And the world that is created for these characters is fascinating.

Anonymous

Chernobyl you should know is essentially filmed like a horror series. No jump scares, but just constant anxiety because of the plot. And it is so damn good!!!! It is absolutely amazing and deserves every reward in the world . Its only 5 episodes, each one an hourish long. So this whole show is only just a little bit longer than a single of one of the Lord of the Rings expanded movies. LOL So if you want something thats quick to power through to up load in its entirety, Chernobyl is the way to go. And if you want something whose characters i know you will fall in love with, Avatar.

My Toasty Toast

(All these are great shows) Im split between the Clone Wars and Avatar. I’d say Avatar if you want to spread out your Star Wars consumption.

The Mandalorian. Outstanding. Only 8 episodes, usually between 30-45 minutes. Great series and then you can move onto another show rather quickly

Maybe one day I'll learn how not to hit the enter button, I like LOST, SCRUBS, & THE GOOD PLACE. But this isn't the "Natalie reviews what Paul likes" channel so please choose whatever interests you. I might not be a fan of what you choose, but I'll support you regardless.

SGato!

I agree the show is stupid! And it is the worst show of all time!!!!

Fawlty Towers, Archer, Norsemen, Breaking Bad, Better Off Ted, Letterkenny

Reggie Clark

"Don't talk about the war." Probably my favorite scene from Fawlty Towers. I should watch it all again.

mrhalfbit

I know this is a post looking for tv series, but I wanted to add the film Captain Fantastic to the list somewhere. It stars Viggo Mortenson( Aragorn) and he is fantastic along with the rest of the cast. He was nominated for an Oscar for his performance.

Game of Thrones or Avatar the Last Airbender

dainbramage7

I think you’d get a real kick out of Stranger Things. Mandalorian is outstanding but short. Game of Thrones is a life commitment but very good. Firefly is also amazing but sadly short.

Anonymous

Avatar: The Last Airbender is like the family-friendly, animated version of The Lord of the Rings.

Anonymous

Band of Brothers. Only 10 episodes

cs3

The Expanse or The Mandalorian. Can't go wrong either way.

Daniel Drew

I’d go Mando or airbender just since they’re short but are great to react to.

Saf

Please DON'T react to GoT. The last 2 seasons are a dumpster fire.

Buffy is good. Expanse is amazing. GOT is pretty epic but quite adult, gory at times, and don't get attached to anyone. Ever. The Mandolorian is great for raising your sub count, so is Clone Wars. I've heard good things about Stranger Things and would love watch it with you. Firefly was excellent, also short. No good ending though, so not very satisfying.

Peadar O'Ruadhán

All the shows on your list are quite good, but I am going to pitch the case for what I believe to be the best science fiction series if not series in general ever to grace the small screen. The Expanse. Its based on a 9 novel series of books,(8 released, the final one coming out this year hopefully), so you have a very fleshed out and coherent story, that knows where it is going. Set in the 23rd Century, Humanity has colonised the Solar system. You have 2 great powers, Earth and its former Colony on Mars. Earth has depleted its resources, Mars is trying to terraform. And both rely on and exploit the inhabitants of the Asteroid belt and outer moons for resources. Tensions are rising in the system with Earth and Mars on a trajectory for war, and then you have elements amongst 'The Belters' who are fighting for more rights and freedoms. Against this backdrop, you have the disappearance of the daughter of a wealthy tycoon, and the investigation of a run down detective trying to find her. This ties in beautifully with all the other threads of the story. They pay particular interest to the details, and making the world and the science in the world believable and consistent etc. So picture a really good science fiction story, mixed in with a great political drama, with a dash of a 1950's Film Noire detective tale thrown in. The universe they have created is incredibly realistic, lived in, populated by great dynanmic characters with fascinating back stories that are revealed over the story. You see great character development and emotional drama. Has brilliant twists and turns, and absolutely wonderful WTF moments that are perfect for a reaction channel, that leaves the viewer either in tears, raging, or their minds blown. For example on twist, had one reactor on another channel, simply not be able to give an after show commentary, which she had to cut short, whereas another reactor to the same episode tore into a 5 minute rant about how much she hated all her viewers for letting her watch the episode without spoiling it, because it left her totally emotionally unprepared for the events of the episode lol. It was tongue in cheek to a degree, but came from a. real emotional and viceral reaction to the show lol. The show aired on SyFy for 3 seasons when they decided not to renew a fourth season, because they didn't have the streaming rights. The fanbase reacted in an incredible way in launching a campaign to save the show, even crowdfunding within a week to get a banner flyover of Amazon HQ with a #savetheexpanse banner. You had many of the cast actively involved and engaged with the fans in this campaign. Amazon picked up the show, produced a 4th season, and before even airing that, had already started production on the 5th season because they had that much faith in the show. Its also a really welcoming and positive fanbase to new arrivals to the show, and is very good in terms of actively not spoiling things. And unlike many shows, whose producers are really harsh on reactors and copyright etc. The expanse producers, authors, and cast adore the reaction community, due in large part to their role in the campaign to save the show. This is to a level that in Season 4 there are actually loads of little easter eggs, like minor characters and such, actually named in honour of some of the reactors and prominant members of the fan base. The expanse is an underexposed under appreciated gem of show, but I have yet to see someone on a channel start it, that hasn't fallen entirely in love with it. The one criticism some people do say about it, is that the first 2-3 episodes there is a lot of world building, and can be a bit confusing, but from the 4th episode onward it kicks up a gear, and never slows down, and the threads of the story come together so well. I can't recommend the show enough, and judging by your star war reactions, and your love of well written character drama, I think it would be the perfect fit for you.

I know you love The Office, Natalie, but have you seen the original English version?

Anonymous

I have to second the folks on here saying the Mandalorian! GoT and Chernobyl would be great to see, too. Something I never see from reactors is the Dark Crystal movie and Netflix series. I would really love if you could consider watching them!

GOT!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think I've seen anyone suggest this: Freaks and Geeks. Only one season (sadly, it got canceled but that also means it's not a commitment to watch)

Gravity Falls

Definitely Stranger Things. You won't regret it, and we will freaking love watching through it again with you!!

Anonymous

Also, if you have any interest in The Revolutionary War & historical drama, 1) TV Show: TURN: Washington's Spies on Netflix (amazing script, acting, and storyline) and 2) Hamilton! (The Musical recently published on Disney+) I know they're not Sci-Fi or fantasy, which seem to be your theme, but they're hella good!

Thomas Stark

I always say yes to Buffy.

Troy B.

Some of these suggestions seem way too long to suggest, especially if it's your first exposure and you're not even sure if you'll like them. And in addition, some like Game of Thrones, will cost you money to watch, and... without spoiling it, I'm not sure it's worth diving into that at this point. Having said that, The Witcher and The Mandalorian would be good. And Stranger Things, if you've somehow missed it. Also, A Series Of Unfortunate Events. (The series, not the movie)

Nathan Fares

My vote would be 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer'.

Anonymous

Stranger Things. By a mile.

FIREFLY!! Absolute must! The Orville is also really cool!

Garren Haskell

Firefly and The Mandalorian for sure

Anonymous

the OA is definitely something people would love to see reactions to. Every episode is amazing and leaves you with more questions than answers!

Jack the Narrator

Another unique series that came to mind is BLACK MIRROR. It's an anthology series where each episode is like a mini-movie. Each one centers on a theme of dangers and darkly humorous aspects of technology.

Anonymous

chernobyl is amazing and only 5 episodes.

Luis R.

All great choices on here, of course I would vote highly for Game of Thrones. Either way I will be joining you for any of these.

nataliegold

Haha I've seen 3 seasons of the walking dead! Great, but I can't revisit it...it gave me nightmares

Chernobyl and Avatar are great

So true! The OA was definitely an experience. Starts off flow and strange but gets super intriguing

I would kill for you to do a game of thrones reaction series. I wish I could forget the whole show and watch seasons 1-6 with a fresh set of eyes.

My Toasty Toast

I agree (espc about Black Sails) but Avatar isn’t an anime, and it’s got millions of fans I don’t think it would hurt her viewership at all it’d probably bolster it

Blackguard

Firefly, Buffy and Once upon a Time.

Jan Popieluch

Doctor Who! There will be tears and that's what your channel is about ;) Although it would be a good idea to react only to some selected episodes from each season because the show is very long if you'd be starting just now.

Heidi Elizabeth Marcum

Good evening! I'm new to your channel and I would love to suggest a few of my favorite shows for you to watch... 1) Once Upon a Time starring Jennifer Morrison, Colin O'Donoghue, Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas, Lana Parrilla, Sean Maguire, Robert Carlyle, Emilie De Ravin, and Jared Gilmore 2) Person of Interest starring Jim Caviezel, Michael Emerson, Kevin Chapman, Taraji P. Henson, Amy Acker, and Sarah Shahi 3) Lucifer starring Tom Ellis, Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, D.B. Woodside, and Lesley-Ann Brandt 4) Haven starring Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant, Eric Balfour, and Adam Copeland 5) Pushing Daisies starring Lee Pace, Anna Friel, Chi McBride, Kristin Chenoweth, Swoosie Kurtz, and Ellen Greene 6) Warehouse 13 starring Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly, Saul Rubinek, and Allison Scagliotti Thank you!

I know that I'm too late for the poll, and I only scrolled through the first 30 comments (or last 30?), but ... if you haven't already seen it, I would love to see your reaction to 'Band of Brothers'. Thanks for the great content.

Anonymous

Was also going to suggest Original Star Trek - maybe not the entire series, but at least key episodes (The Menagerie, Trouble with Tribbles, etc...)

Anonymous

LOTS of great suggestions here - I can back most of them. Not sure if they'd make the best reaction series, but a couple really quirky shows I really liked in the 90s were Northern Exposure and Pickett Fences.

I find killing eve extremely entertaining, mostly due to Jodie Comers amazing acting.

I became a Patreon to vote for Breaking Bad! lol It's the best TV series of all time. Came out when TV series were not as popular as today (The Sopranos was big too.). They knew from the start that they have 5 seasons which is a big advantage for writers. It's been a model ever since never equated. We had one reluctant friend who refuse to watch it because he doesn't like drugs or the glamourization of villains. We convinced him by telling him that he was assuming things about the series and just to think that (no spoilers here) it's about a father who is terminally ill and has a high school teacher's salary. My friend had a 3 year old at the time. He thanked us for harassing him to watch it, it's one the best thing he's seen on TV. Black Sails is one of the most underrated series. 4 seasons with an ending. It has a lot of historical characters and facts, so we learned about the creation of the Bahamas, a bit about the East coast of New England at the time and of course piracy. People who were not attracted at all to the pirate thing were all presently surprised. It's a good one for reactions too.

If you've never seen it, the newest iteration of Battlestar Galactica (2004) is magnificent.

nataliegold

Hey Seabass! The thing is, I've already seen Breaking Bad. It's fantastic, but I don't really want to rewatch things I'm familiar with right now if I can help it. Not at least until I've seen a lot more new stuff

Ron

Some suggestions for you to consider: * The Expanse (4 seasons; Season 5 coming late 2020 or early 2021 probably) * Battlestar Galactica (2004) (4 seasons) * Devs (2020) (only 8 episodes) * Twin Peaks (seasons 1 & 2, 1990-1991; season 3, 2017) * Ozark (3 seasons; 4th and final season has been greenlit and will come eventually)

became a patreon to suggest a few shows i hope you get around to checking out. the umbrella academy and the haunting of hill house on netflix are two absolutely amazing shows worth watching

Hi Nat! I'm David. I suggest you "FRINGE" (2008-2013). THE BEST TV SERIES I EVER SEEN (J.J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci: 6 hands that when they work together make WONDERFUL THINGS!!!). Every friend of mine I recommended to loved it. Seeing is beleving! ;-)

Chief

I want to follow-up here (months after the fact) and say Person of Interest, definitely. Second, maybe The West Wing (probably way too long to do the whole thing) or The Newsroom.

Prof Moff

Going back through old stuff of yours again and saw this post and though I doubt you read these really old ones but I want to say again for a TV show Black Sails!!!!

Thomas Williamson

Watch Chernobyl. Have tissues and alcohol ready.
