The way they filmed the Willow Wood scene was genius. I have watched it 3 times now. It is my favorite scene so far in the show. Having Kiko and the camera move so that as Mariko was translating what Kiko was saying, it appeared to be coming directly from Mariko. And Mariko (the actress) voicing the lines so that it felt like she was just a hair away from breaking down, crying, and revealing her true feelings. That scene re-enforced this idea that Natalie touched on, that Kiko is the most perceptive person in the cast. People are clear pools that Kiko can see ten feet through, though they are barely three feet deep. That she knew how Anjin and Mariko felt about each other. That she understood everything that Mariko was going through, and why she was acting the way she was acting. The kindness of offering them both an opportunity to express the obvious love, respect and affection to each other without judgement or repercussion seemed so genuine. Mariko was sooooo tempted. But we know that it was also a potential trap, because we know of Kiko's involvement with Omi. It still was a very emotional and touching scene. I hope we see more of Kiko, but we are running out of episodes.
